Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Unbelievable! This two races were full of drama, battles, chases and big mistakes. I had great pace in one lap, but i wasn't sure what will happen with the tires when they quickly wear out.

I made new PB in Q1 and took the pole just faster than Geoffers. He made better start but i had more powerful car, as i drove with 1/1 spliter and rear wing and retained the lead. In the first few laps i was quicker and i  was able to make some advantage but after that the mistakes started. 3-4 off tracks and after the last one i stall the engine and couldn't start it again. So unfortunately it was Game Over for me there.

My plan for race two was to start with rear wing at two for little bit more grip for that chicane that caught me few times but at the end of the qualy i just decided to stay with the original setup and take a risk. The plan was to make as bigger as possible gap to the driver in P2 so i can breath easier when the tires gone off. Everything was great for me as Geoffers had to start from P6 and miss the quali because of his win in Race 1, so i was able to make the gap to 5 seconds. Unfortunately the same chicane caught me unprepared and after hard battle with the steering wheel i made another big mistake. This time i was so lucky because Geoff overtake me but he had to slow down for the last corner so i was able to stay behind him just 1 second behind.

After that i think i made my best laps in the both events. I gave 110% to catch him, because i knew if i lose his slip stream everything was over. Little by little i was able to close the gap and at the end of one of the laps with more power on the straight i was able to overtake.

After that i think Geoff had a little bit better tires than me and i think he drove with bigger rear wing setting and was so quick on the corners. My only chance were the straights. He started to drive faster and faster and was closer and closer. I was able to survive few attacks but at the third one, i think, he won the position. This was at the final lap in the first corner. I really don't know how we both were able to stay on the track and not make any contact in this situation. We both were so brave and literally started braking on the final possible millimeter.

Before than, again in the first corner, we had a little contact and i almost lost the car. After watching the replay i saw that this was totally my fault but Geoff was a gentleman and let me pass few corners later.  :thumbup1:

So, let's go back to the last lap. Geoff took the lead at the first corner but i was able to stay just behind him and i overtake him at the back straight, After that he went just wide on the exit of the chicane and that was the reason for me to win. :D He was so much faster in that moment, i really don't know how i was able to stop him in the hard braking for the last corner. Maybe my only chance was going to be the more powerful car.

Thanks Geoff for being such a great sportsman and driver. It was pleasure battling with you for almost the whole second race.  :cowboy:

This is my setup if someone is interested:

Yep DD, a couple of fantastic races, especially the second one.

Race 1, DD was really fast in qually & I struggled to get under 1.20 & just nick a front row start from Erling. Got a better start than DD & led for half a lap until he easily passed me on the back straight, only then did I realise I had not checked what rear wing setting I had as DD was much faster on the straights. He soon opened up a gap so I settled in to consistent lapping & keeping an eye on the gap back to Erling in 3rd. Suddenly though I was in the lead as DD spun at the back straight ess-bend & Erling was through to 2nd too. A few laps later the lead grew bigger as both DD & Erling appeared to make mistakes, so the last few laps were a fairly comfortable drive.

Race 2, a check on the rear wing setting showed that it was at 2 but as I had not tried it at 1 I decided to stick with it at 2 & not risk a really loose back end (!!!!). In all honesty I was never going to catch DD starting from the back unless he made a mistake & as far as the championship goes it was really Erling I needed to beat. Good start again & was up to 3rd by the back straight, took a couple of laps to pass Matt & that was only because he went slightly off track at T3. I did close the gap to DD slightly but I expect he was driving a little more carefully than in race 1, so it was a surprise that a few laps later he repeated his spin at the Esses. He recovered quickly & was soon on my tail & we had a titanic battle for the remainder of the race as DD detailed above. Epic!

Congrats to DD on his win & to Erling & Clive on their podiums.

Sorry for absence chaps, was busy building up, installing and testing a new steering wheel, didn't feel diving into a race was ideal for first try....
