Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

The mediafire links don't work - Hillman Imp and the 2 fixes.

Well the links work from the post for RACE ONE, so I got the track and went straight to the server and jumped in the Imp. Did a few laps and thought that I had better try another car as I am going to need 3. Just as I ran off track I got a CTD and was totally ejected from the server, not too bothered as I needed to check on the other cars.

Discovered that for some reason I did not have anything except the Bellet loaded, so went back to the Race post and I downloaded/installed the cars..but not the Mk3 Cortina, coz Tony was already joining the server.  :-\

When I tried to rejoin, the server it was not letting me in  :(. The names continually scrolled with attendant screen flashing whichever car I selected ( even the original Imp that was originally OK??? ) had one heck of a job to actually get out of the server log-on and back to desktop.

Must be the heat???

They're the same links and the mediafire ones don't work. I keep crashing for the 3rd race now. One of the cars is probably not installed properly. I suspect the Hillman Imp. Always crashes when it tries to load up Dimitar's car and I think that's what he's driving.

I had to go back to the first race in this series, back to January!!

I downloaded everything from there and re-installed all the cars etc. I even found the PM from Tony about the Cortina Mk3.

All installed in time for the 2nd race tonight, but I have no idea why this dedicated install went t*ts up earlier??, especially as I managed about 5 laps in pre race practice before a CTD. Maybe the CTD corrupted something??
Race 2 and 3 were random cars and default setups...which proved a challenge too far for this geriatric!!

Very tough but interesting racing events at Barbagallo.

For race 1 i was in P3 after the quali but totally forgot that the Hillman is having some revs problem in the first few gears and just before turn 1 i was down to P8. After that with some good tempo and some mistakes from other drivers i was able to take second position and podium finish. Great driving from Hristo in P3 as he was still learning the circuit.

Race two was going to be very strong for me. Even though i was starting from P5 with my Corolla, the car was going to be faster and faster in the later laps when the tires started to work properly. Unfortunately after attacking Coyote for P3 i hit him and he lost time and positions. It was all my fault but we were so close to make it without incident... :( This was very sad for me because i was catching Geoffers in P1.

Race 3 were the worse for me, even though i was with the fastest car in practice before the events. I was making 1:07 without a problem with the Mazda, but i just couldn't find the pace and get used to  the car until the end of the race. The practice session between the events was just too short for me.

At the end i was driving at P3 after few guys had some problems at the start and just few laps before the end i totally lost the car at the final corner and we had another contact with Coyote. I was able to stay in front of him but Silvino overtake both of us and i finished in P4.

Congrats to the winners and the podium guys. It was three grate racing events i think.

Three good races, really enjoy these cars, & was lucky enough to win 2 after spinning in the first race.

Race 1, started as expected with Daz in the Toyota pulling away ahead & me in an equally comfortable 2nd place. All went well until I got on the grass at the final turn & instead of lifting off I kept my foot down & promptly spun the car. Dropped to 5th behind Erling & despite trying hard was unable to catch him before the finish.

Race 2, again 2nd on the grid to Daz, but this time I got ahead at the start & opened a little gap while Daz & Silvino contested 2nd. Once that was sorted Daz quickly caught up & got ahead when I ran wide at the top of the hill. My Mazda's better top speed got me back alongside into the final turn but Daz won the braking battle only to run onto the grass & spin like I had in race 1. Had about 2s in hand over Silvino but towards the end he found some pace & it was only my top speed advantage that kept me ahead of him & a fast closing Hristo at the finish.

Race 3 was the least dramatic, the great handling Toyota propelling me to a fairly comfortable win over Daz's Mazda.
