Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Simple doesn't mean easy probably best describes last night's races.  Simple track, but difficult races. Braking for that confounded hairpin at T1 felt like Russian Roulette each lap, and getting through the twisty bits not easy in either car.

Good start and Corvette power allowed me to steal the lead for a few laps in race 1. Eventually Geoffers got past, and I then had close attendance from Dan. He veered off and was replaced by Clive, who remained a persistent shadow throughout the race. Couldn't relax, as any lapse from me would shorten the gap.  Grats to Geoffers for the win, and Clive for filling the podium.

Another good start in race 2 saw me slip past Clive, chasing after the Corvettes of Geoffers & Dan. The former had a healthy lead when he got mugged by the T1 jump, so suddenly I was fighting with Dan for the lead, with Clive close on my heels. After several laps, the hairpin got Dan too, and I slipped into the lead. Clive had dropped back a little, but remained a threat. I also didn't know about Geoffer's status & position - he could be in the middle of the mother of all comebacks for all I knew, so had to keep pushing almost to the finish.  Grats to Geoffers on 2nd and Clive for 3rd again.

Clive, I certainly believed you had finished in reverse yesterday; what I refused to believe, knowing your regular driving style, was that it was the first time..   ;D

Much as Erling has already written. The hairpin was a lottery on each lap, and the through the next 2 corners I don't think I found the correct gear/braking point/line in either race  :-\. but despite this being a relatively simple lap it certainly focused attention.

In race 1 I tried to preserve some tyres for later in the race, which appeared to work but I had lost too much ground to make it work. Either that or others were going faster than my script said that they would. ::)
Race 2 was another chase and after Geoffer's hairpin error it was fun watching Dan and Erling contest the lead. I was afraid to get too close because, in the event of an incident between them, taking avoiding action in these cars is likely to take you straight to the scene of your own incident!!??
When it did happen, where else but at the hairpin, I was only just able to tippy toe around the outside of a recovering Dan and set off after Erling. Pushing hard in these cars does seem to be counter productive and a rather heavy kiss of the armco on the final corner upset the previously reliable power side of things. For the last 8 laps with increasingly worn rear tyres the rear end was determined to get to the S/F line first as we exited the final corner. It succeeded on a couple of occasions, but most spectacularly on the penultimate lap, which allowed Geoffers to reclaim 2nd spot and again on the final lap. I knew that Roger was only a few seconds behind and reasoned that to turn the car around would take too long, so I stuffed it into reverse and completed the last few hundred metres travelling backwards.

Actually, I recall that I have finished races airborne, sideways, upside down, with 3 wheels, with 2 wheels and even on fire, but I cannot recall actually driving backwards over the finish line before. But, if I have, I'm sure someone will provide a replay  :-\
