Well, after Sunday hardware error my motivation is down under but I'll race today anyway, just to see what could've been done.  :-\

Not looking forward to this one myself - its a nightmare for me every time at Estoril - usually going off on the bumpy braking area into the right hander before the horrible chicane which I sometimes go off at too ::)

I'll be there though, 3rd place in the team champ is looking like a good scrap ;D

I hope I can put in a better performance than I did on Sunday in the Endurance race, i.e. not have to pit in for more fuel with one lap to go!  :-[ ;D

Qualified fifth and spun on a fifth lap ??? Wheel and suspension broken. I am afraid to think what would happen on formation lap if I qualified first  ::)  I had some weird problems with brake lockups during qual - probably pots in my pedals got noisy and require cleaning.

Anyway, this is the very essence of racing! Nothing is sure. Hope rest of Sharks will perform better and our team scores some nice points...

Grinsomat -  nice overtaking on Lap 5. [Inflammatory comments aimed at the mods removed]

GLA all still on the track! :D

After I had great Endurance race here on Sunday, this one turned into a pile of plop.
Sorry to BigG, My mistake thought I'd left you enough room. A bit of contact there and it was enough for me.

I should be pissed 'cause of not getting a chance at Estoril Endurance. But I don't know at whom, so...  ::)

Great quali time, Mo, and great race pace. I could almost follow you for first 10 laps, then I just felt the rubber going and decided 2nd was better than none. Grats on the win and good points for The Brothers! GJ.  :thumbup2:

Congrats to Mo  :).

It really is tough for GTR 2 :). Haven't touched GTR for 4 weeks and its amazing how it gets the adrenalin pumping. Even more so cause I was pretty clueless. It might not be accurate but its simply more fun than anything else (NK excluded of course ;)). Thats what makes a good sim for me.

Sorry to Aagraam, my slowness caught you out I think. And thanks to Picnic and teamy Rob for a great last lap. I have to practice for Monza and give GTR the send off it deserves.

Once again I owe my half decent race speed to TT. Thx again for the setup mate :thumbup2:
Was really surprised to finish 3rd. Followed TT at about 7 secs for the first half of the race but something must've happened as I followed at about 2-3secs from halfway till about 3 laps from the end when my dreaded NGT spin curse hit me again leaving me just behind Shark. Luckily enough Shark braked a bit to deep into a corner and that allowed me to pass and my tyres just had enough in them to get me to the finish.
Grats to Mo and nice race TT. A bit late for the championship but some good points for ZPB racing 8)
maybe we can take the Sharks down to china town at Monza now ;)

well that was fun, and i made it to the finish! Yeah! Sorry Pop if i caused any problems on lap 2-3 when i made the move gown the indide at the end of the s/f straight. I had very bad lag, it carried on for the next 5 corners and then lagged again and I went straight on. Reversed back to the track and got going again. Then had a little fight with Gerald (By the way mate, pit limiter on in all sessions, maybe you forgot for a moment). NP Don, I guessed wrong as well, if i went behind we would not have touched. Then i was catching Witham slowly but surley. With 5 laps to go, peeps started falling off and made it upto 10th. So am happy.

Better outing for me tonight compared with my guest appearance in the Endurance race on Sunday. New PB by 0.4s was still only enough for 15th on the grid. Had a couple too many spins in the race but that's me along with the heat tonight. Now sat in the coolest room in the hosue and its still 32.8  :o

I qualified in the time I expected, again like the endurance slightly off my PB, but couldn't really ask for more.

Was a dull race for me as I raced no-one at all until just under 3 minutes to go when JonM saw I had been lonely and kindly spun for me to let me by.  ;) We then had a good scrap for the last 2 laps and I just cocked up into the braking on the back straight to let JonM back through.  ;D

Onto my most loathed track that is the awful Monza.

Well done to Mo for the win and TT and Jon for the podiums.

Did the same move to RichA 2 laps before !
So thx to you 2 for keeping the door open fairly ! Very good racing and racing skills !

had a good race ! Even if I wouldn`T have finished, those  first couple of laps were so interesting........made my day .!!!!!  ;D ;D

I love the thrill of hearing a Porsche engine in my right ear :) I made a mistake before s-f line and there was just no way I could not let you pass with that speed difference. I thought we raced much closer through the corner, but on the replay I saw that there was plenty of space.

Good pace Mo and good job, setting new records very nice.

Had a good qualy in 6th but then race setup was not so good. Tried soft front, medium rear without prior testing. Was ok but not so great balance .. does anyone else use this combo?

CJ has already won and only needed five races, way to go good job. Feel like i'm getting to grips with F360 towards the end of the season, very squirmy car but stable.

Nope, softs never last for 40 mins (or 15 mins for me!), having different tyre combo on front/back makes cars feel very odd to me.

Yep, towards last five laps fronts were worn but leading up to that seemed ok.. was practicing one night with Andy and CJ and they both used soft front medium rear combo on 996. I don't think there's much in it tbh but they do require totally different setups for sure cause the mediums need srubbing and softs don't so much.

Hadnt done much practice at estoril and it took a few laps / mistakes to re-learn how to drive round it.  Had Dan Minton chasing fairly close behind for the first half. Went from 12th to 6th, Big pile up at T4 with Pedro, RichA and Popabawa i think helped me gain some of those places ;D

D Minton kept pushing and eventually he rounded me up when i went drifting thru the corner after the bumpy part.  Controlled the slide but could keep him behind, Good driving m8  :)

2 mistakes put me back to 10th.  Near the end i made up few places when Minton and Grimsonat where arm wrestling down sf/straight and went over the top. :P

I used Med/Hards which seemed ok and pleased i finished at estoril.

That was a tough race, I was under pressure for almost all of it!

A new PB in qualifying, I finally broke the 1:41 barrier but it was still only good enough for 9th!

I drove pretty well for the first 10 mins and I think I was up into 5th or 6th when Dan Minton and Grinsomat slipped past me when I bumped into Pedro during the Turn 5 incident. Sorry, I just couldn't slow down and turn inside you in time to avoid contact.

It all went a bit wrong after that as I seemed to lose pace and RS and Mark@GP both passed me to drop me back into 9th but I picked one back when Dan went off right at the end.

There was definately a little contact between me and RS on a couple of occasions as he tried to pass me but I think it was me who was at fault so apologies there if I did anything untoward RS :-\

I think I must have been running more wing than the other guys around me as I seemed to get eaten on the straights.

Quite pleased with 8th in the end, that's an OK result for me in this series. I'm really disappointed to be so far down the table but that only because the opposition is so good and it's a pleasure running against you guys  :)

Well that was a great race for me in terms of consistency. Felt Oschers was getting better and this time only had 1 off and a couple of grass visits (taking the corners too wide), resulting in me finishing my first ever race without being lapped, which is progress for me!! It took so much concentration that by the end of it I was literally soaking wet!

Congrats to fellow Kerbie, Mo, on a good win, and thanks to fellow Kerbie, SBG, for that spin which gained me an extra p[lace with 2 laps to go  ;). I think thats called being unselfish by boosting your teamies confidence!

Cheers

Rob

No worries Rob, I was unselfishly boosting everyones confidence last night  :). Bang on, your consistency killed me and there was a nice KC 911 threesome for a bit, even if Mo was a lap ahead.  I think pops, the Alex Ferguson of NGL, completely scambled me with his clever mind games.

Heres to a better performance at Monza and another (yawn) team victory over the Sharks   ;).

A bit slow getting round to posting on this one.....
It was another nice race for me with a PB in qual and the race. I was surprised to see that they were records though.
I suppose at this point I should thank the GTN boys for not showing up  ;) :P

At the race start I managed to pull away from TT by a few seconds but he reeled me in after a couple of laps. Kept me under pressure with some nice low 1'40s laps, which was a bit faster than I had planned on going - nice job TT, and sorry to see you drop back after the scary moment at T1. My tyres were just starting to get hot too and I was wondering if you had the same probs.

Grats to the brothers on the other podium spots - really nice drive TT.

Had a good qualy in 6th but then race setup was not so good. Tried soft front, medium rear without prior testing. Was ok but not so great balance .. does anyone else use this combo?

I use this soft/medium on some tracks in the GT3, Enna and Monza are ok like this iirc but the grip on the front is so much more than the rear and it tends to overheat the rears for me. Think I reduce the camber until the soft tyre is nearly flat with the road as it balances out the car a bit and gives very good braking ability without locking up.
Generally I find the med/med setup to be much safer and usually just as fast ( for me anyway ).

3rd pace in the team champ will be a good fight at Monza, looking forward to it Sharkies ;D
