Qual: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race 1: 20:45 (30 mins)

Cars allowed: Silhouette class

Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry

Start: Standing
Tyre wear: Normal

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.
(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Hi Bill,

I haven't had a chance to check out the different versions yet. I was thinking of using the Gesamtstrecke: 4.274 km version

Quite enjoyed getting in everyone's way for a few laps, then stuffed it into a wall with a lot or red on the screen :o
The C14-2 is mid engined with good traction, hence I managed to outdrag people to T1, but seems to lack
top speed, as Frex was catching for fun down the back straight.

Have no idea about which is best of these cars, so just picked one. Had a good few laps early in the race chasing Matt & leading when he went off. Eventually made a mistake & went off allowing Frex through, but he was much quicker & would have caught me anyway.

Congrats to Frex on the win & Stephen in 3rd.

Really enjoyed this track - fast in some places, tricky and technical in others, and suited these cars nicely. Just a shame we get a low turnout again. Thanks to those that raced, congrats to all.

Nice track, I will be using it for future races!

I didn't have any time to do any practice so was learning the track on the night. took it steady, then during the race I tried pushing a bit harder and ran off a couple of times, losing a heap of time turning the car around. I felt more on top of the track by the end of the race.

We are off to Motegi for the next round. Hopefully a few more will try out these updated silhouettes as they are now vastly improved

Hello,
I drive normally the GPL Races, but now I just read here about Raceroom and Bilster Berg. That sounds interessting to me, but I really donĀ“t know much about Raceroom. How can I get the Bilster Berg for it?
Hope you can help me somehow.
Cheers
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

The base RaceRoom game is free to download and play, and includes a few free cars and tracks. It used to be that you could install it as a standalone package, but now it can only be done through Steam, so you'll need to have that installed too.

Firstly go to the RaceRoom home page and create an account: http://game.raceroom.com/ (http://game.raceroom.com/). From here you can then click on the Play button which takes you to the Steam store page from where you can download and install the game.

Once you have the game installed, there is a store button from within game which takes you to another store page which then lists all of the extra content available: http://game.raceroom.com/store/ (http://game.raceroom.com/store/). If all you want is Bilster Berg, you can purchase it here for a few Euros and you're done.

If you decide that you want a few more cars and tracks, you will be better off first buying VRP (virtual race points) here: https://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/list_page?cat=24 (https://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/list_page?cat=24) as this will give you more for your money. For the best value, buy one or two of the discounted packs shown in the store, and for the best value of all wait for one of the sales.. And never buy anything directly through Steam - this is almost always a poor deal. It is also possible to try any of the paid content cars from within game before buying them.

The pay model is a bit confusing initially, but I hope that helps. Any more questions, just ask away  :)

Thank you for your Explanations. As far as I understand one has to pay for each single track. Thats hard.  :o For GPL you have about 500 Tracks. I use about 100 of them, imagine the cost.  ??? Anyway I am keen in that Bilster Berg so I think I will buy it.
Cheers
Andreas

Yes, you are correct. That is why I mention about the discounted packs - there are two track packs (American and European) and also a starter pack which includes 5 tracks and 10 cars which are all much better value than buying each item separately. These packs are also often discounted in the frequent sales (probably about 4 or 5 sales a year), and individual cars and tracks are often at half price. The American track pack and one single Group 5 car would have got you entry to all of our current Group 5 series races for not many Euros..

If you are shrewd and wait for the right sale it is possible to buy all of the current content in the game for around 50 Euros, but it is very expensive if you buy everything separately. You don't have to do that of course, you can just pay for the content that interests you. Bilster Berg with the free cars could be all you need.
