Qual 2: 8:30pm (30 mins)
Warmup: 9:00pm (2 mins)
Race: 9:02pm (60 mins)

Cars allowed: Those classed as GT or NGT; a list of which cars are in which class can be found here (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?ind=lm2&group=7). Seat Toledo, Lotus Elise, BMW Z3M and Porsche GT3 Cup are not permitted. Drivers do not have to take a car from a class in which they ran in Season 3 events.

Pit Stops: All drivers must make a minimum of one pit stop. This must involve entering the pit lane at the speed limit, and coming to a complete standstill in the designated pit box. Tyres do not have to be changed and no fuel has to be added. You cannot take your mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Server: UKGTR S3 RoC
Password: Server Password is shown in this thread (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=2011.0) and is available to eligible drivers.

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7)
(3) This event will be run using a UKGTR carpack v1.5 (http://www.ukgtr.org/downloads/SROU_Car_Pack_1.5.zip) which will need to be installed prior to racing. Details of this pack can be found here (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=1235.msg17247#msg17247).

The selection criteria I've used is top 6 from both Sprint classes and both Endurance classes, plus race winners. I believe the winning teams all have at least one representative.

I'll try to make it, I'm not sure I can. Hurt my ankle, twisted, maybe even broken some bones. Have to wait what the doc says.  :(
Certainly I'm in no condition to drive right now.

Oh yeah, this is just my luck. All the problems with the server finally solved. There are only 7 people in the server, and luckily I get pole position.

Just to blow up my engine after a half lap!!! >:( WTF is that, I had everything set to race and it blows up after a half (...) lap!!! All I can say is bring on GTR2 and leave this buggy product behind.
Rev limiter lowered, more radiator opening...argh, this is just a joke.

Can I be a champion in mechanical failures please. Atleast I've won something then ::)

To summarize:

NGT: Brno, Donnington, Oscherleben and Estoril
GT: Estoril
Elise: Silverstone
TC65: Monza jr.
GTC65: Magny Cours, Brands Hatch
TC76: Dijon GP

All these races were lost due to mechanical failures. Either disco's, wheel problems or engine failures.

I think I should start looking for other ways to fill my evenings. Now where did I leave that broom?            Curling anyone? ;D

Ruskus, you run with autoclutch off don't you? Thus no auto-lift? When I ride on board with other folks during practice and qually sessions I here the engine bouncing off the limiter a lot during upshifts and I can't believe that doesn't contribute to an increased failure rate...

Wanted to make an honorary appearance, as my foot is too stiff to drive. Can't lift it enough to fully release the throttle. Would be good for rally but not for F360 in rainy Oschers, lol  ;D

7 drivers, 6 GTs. Left q2 session 10 min to go, when I came back into the room the the race allready started without me. Watched it for some time, seen Shark crash, Jamera, too. And Ruskus, of course.  ::) Bad luck, buddy.  :-\

In real life alot of drivers don't lift off. And I've finished enough races with manual clutch. I just can't imagine how an engine can die, halfway down the first lap. That's just a bug, end of story, which is one of the many GTR problems.

They do in endurance racing unless they have a system on the ECU to cut the throttle during shifts.

I just don't buy it I'm afraid. Something about your driving style or setup must be causing it - if it were a bug, lots of other people would be suffering it.

I lowered my rev limiter 200 revs down. I opened my radiator up to 3. The warmup lap was done at 100km/h in 3rd gear. How on earth, can any engine die after 30 seconds, while it didn't even get stressed. I was still driving very slowly, trying not to crash off in lap 1.

Anyhow, it sucks.

Well what a mare, lol.

Bloody wheel failed on the form lap, didnt fancy doing a wet race with no ffb so picked a safe place to pull over and unplugged the wheel.  Unfortunatly the place I picked turned out not to be that safe after all with a driver weaving all over the track behind me ! Oh well.
Got the wheel sorted and rejoined the race, only 30 secs or so down.
Then in my haste to catch up with the leader I messed up a corner, went sideways across the track and got T-bonned, which flipped me over and saved me from going into the wall.
The car was a complete pig after that, steering was all over the place, great fun on a wet track, not.
Anyway finished 2nd in the end.

Yeah I used to use manual clutch and it does increase temps hence less reliability as you say, add that to the fact that the Lister Engine is pretty weak in my experience of GTR as its the only car engine Ive had let go. I think its known to be weak but cant remember why.

Did you change down slightly early into turn 2?
I thought it was your internet problems again when you left.

I happened after turn 2. I was low in 2nd when I floored, it then squeeled like a pig and died.

After he`d sent his heavies to sort out Truetom, perhaps Mark sent his mechanical assassins into your garage to do the dirty there also!
