Season 36 Historics Trophy – Round 8 – Interlagos  
For round 8 we are going to Interlagos (Brazil).
Autódromo José Carlos Pace, also known as Interlagos, is in the city of São Paulo, in the neighborhood of Interlagos. It is named after Brazilian Formula One driver Carlos Pace, who died in a plane crash in 1977. It has hosted the Formula One Brazilian Grand Prix since 1973.  The race won by defending Formula One World Champion and São Paulo local Emerson Fittipaldi. Fittipaldi won the race again the following year in bad weather and Brazilian driver José Carlos Pace won his only race at Interlagos in 1975.

After my first tentative ( and deliberately aborted ) outing at Aintree after my operation, I am intending to start this race. Still not 100%, but feeling better everyday, bruising has reduced considerably and so has the discomfort.
If I feel things are getting too much, I will simply quit the race, but I am going to do a few laps today and make a judgement call about tonight, No heroics, just a gentle test.

Hope to see you on track, but maybe not quite up to full speed yet  ::)

Freeze during quali and freeze on the 7th lap.
I had just overtaken Andreas and was chasing Phil.
Race was nice until that.   

That's good news Clive.
Practice was great but in the middle of the race, towards the end of the straight, I had a freeze right behind Tristan.
Fine racing until that. THX to you Tristan for close fighting :)
Sad that we couldn't do that to the chequered ...

I had a very pleasant time at Interlagos tonight. nice decent run for me. managed to keep concentration and keep with the pack better, did some 3;01s

best ever before was 3:05 Plus.   :P

a great start and no incidents Im aware of..

Unlucky David, I had a freeze in qually too. It locked up the entire PC. Even Task Manager wasn't working. I had to do a hard reboot. I was quite worried in the race, I was expecting a screen freeze at any moment.

I was watching Pribluda carefully, I saw you overtake Andreas and I was preparing for a repeat of the 69xF1 race!

I got a great start and I tried to hang onto Doni. I could just about keep up with the help of the draft but once I made  a mistake and did a 360 at the end of the long straight, the tow was lost and Doni was gone.

Grats Paul, good improvement! If you can do those times consistently you'll be challenging for the Junior podium  ;)

But the season is finished.You have burned me at the first curve  :2guns:and is not the first time :)anyway you are stronger than me this year

Quite happy with that for a first race back. I took the baby Brabham simply because it was easy to drive, and not too heavy to wrestle with lol.

But I confess that it was getting a struggle with around 5 laps to go and I decided to quit before I did anything I would regret  ;).

Still a good training run and on a less demanding track I might have been OK.

I've loaded the chassis the drivers used into the token calculator spreadsheet.  For the next race the available tokens will be as declared in the table below (the table will also appear in the next race announcement).  The calculated values are automated but selecting the cars is a manual process so please check your tokens to make sure I haven't made a silly error. There was no token overspend for this round so no one is disqualified.
