(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.
(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.
(6) Start procedure
*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Only tried the Ferri so far, and the default setup is quite friendly

The GT2s are easier to drive than the FJuniors as they have traction control. Make sure you have a button mapped for changing the amount of traction control you want. I usually use about 80% with these but I know some others use much less.

Indeed a lot easier, but had just some laps (and still 5sec slower on the leaderbords), switching in between 90% and 80% TC.

Currently at home, so racing on the laptop and the T300 attached on the dining table. Not the ideal setup  ;D. (also Wifi connection)

Some questions:
1: will we need to pit to change tires?
2: so the start is a rolling start, followed by a in-lap at 80km/h

No pitstop required but you will probably need to use the hard tyres for the race.

Yes rolling start with first lap at slow pace dictated by pole position driver. At end of lap accelerate as soon as the car ahead does.

Thx for the heads up that we also have the hard compound  ;D, (still it was possible on the softs, but they where gone at the last 5laps ;D)

4th, fun but long race.

First 10/12min in a train of three for P4 or 5 at that moment (Wheiman, vwspeedgp and myself). Lost the group and stayed 4sec behind. To make 2 times the same mistake in the chicane (in medium -10sec and 1 minor -4sec).

jumped to P5 when vwspeedgp went of at Sheivlak. And at 12min from the end phspok pitted, came just in front of me on track. Thought we would fight for 10min, but went directly of in T1 (tarzan).  ;D :o

Last lap was a fight to not being lapped, saw in my mirror the fight for the win  :)

grts, will pass the circuit in about 6hrs when i go to work.

See ya in Spa

Even though I had taken extra fuel, it wasn't enough, and I needed to pit, ah well, no worries, I can have some fun with the guys
chasing. Must have gone in too fast, or somehow got out too fast and got a stop and go for speeding in the pits. Didn't
have the patience to to that, so pulled off at Tarzan and left.

Annoying, but there are still plenty of races left in this series! next stop is Chang circuit at Buriram in a fortnight.

It was good to see a few more racers on the grid tonight, I managed to keep it neat and tidy and avoid any big mistakes, well chuffed with a podium finish.

What are peoples opinions on adding a compulsory pitstop to these races? I had three yellow tyres by the end of this race. Being able to keep the car on the road with wornout tyres is a real life skill but are we missing out on close battles at the end of races with plenty of grip?

That was intense.. I can still see that McDonald's logo on the rear of Geoff's car as I spent so much time staring at it last night! Never more than a few tenths apart, but even so despite a couple of optimistic lunges I was not going to pass without a mistake from Geoff - and he never made one. Good job, congrats for the win and to Stephen (I think) for P3.

I had two flashing pinks  ??? and two yellows for the last 3 minutes or so! I lifted off through the corners to try and ensure finishing the race. (This was my longest RRE race.)

Regarding compulsory pit stops I would prefer to leave the option of a Pitstop to individual drivers and leave them to sort out their own strategy.  ;D

I'm fine either way. Geoff and I could battle right to the end of the race last night, but I'd be happy to try adding a stop if others prefer it.

That was intense..

Certainly was Frex. I kept thinking 'he will make a mistake soon & give me a breather' but you never did. Nerves were creeping in towards the end but I didn't really have any problem with the tyres, a couple were yellow at the end but didn't seem to affect the grip. Good race, these cars are quite fun.

Congrats to Frex & Stephen & well done all finishers.

Not too fussed about pitstops, sometimes they can ruin a race, other times liven it up. If races were 60 mins I could see the need for a stop but at present I don't think there are enough of us to make a 60 min race interesting.

I had no problem with the hard compound tires (only the left front went sometimes high in temps, but if you lifted for 1 corner already decreasing in temps). Also safed the tires a little bit behind vwspeedgp (because i knew he was faster in FP and Q, but at that time i was sometimes a little bit faster and had a handful overtaking opportunities, but choose to lift sometimes before the corner).

Maybe search a racetime where you are on the limit or 1/2 laps of. So the racers who are not confident to pit can save tires and stay out. The racers who are pusching can pit.

I have the correct results. I need to delete the event, recreate it, and then upload the correct results.
I will "get around to it" eventually...As in, I did it, and it seems right.
