(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally) (4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit. (5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface) Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this. Tried closing it down and restarting, but no joy. Perhaps Pete can have a look? maybe delete it and reinstall? Title: Re: RRE Season 7 (2020) Race Room Formula Ford - Silverstone - Jun 25 Post by: picnic on June 24, 2020, 10:23:17 AM +0100 Just tried myself and got no where, when I checked the raceroom website it's down for an update so hopefully that's all it is.

Title: Re: RRE Season 7 (2020) Race Room Formula Ford - Silverstone - Jun 25 Post by: BiriBiri on June 25, 2020, 09:34:28 PM +0100 Good evening,
Bad start with constant errors, also if i was already in game. If i changed the setup in practice sometimes an error screen appeared >:( Race 1: Good start and gained some places, untill i was in a tight fight with a white car in front of me and Pete behind me. The white car in front of me missed the apex in T1, I was surprised and oversteered in T1, went a little off track and Pete passed me, i tought the oversteer was finished and went back on the throttle but went sideways and the, Martin crashed into me. My fault went to early back on the throttle >:( :( srry Martin afterwards some slips in T1 (never had confidence again), Being lapped in the last corner (luffield) by Martin due to a slip. Race 2: started last place, but much more fun, last 10mins fight with Martin, Glenn and Dean. grts Birger Title: Re: RRE Season 7 (2020) Race Room Formula Ford - Silverstone - Jun 25 Post by: phspok on June 25, 2020, 09:45:12 PM +0100 I seem to need to smash my nose cone off in these races, I think so far, every one ::)
Good racing. R2 was better as I had got more used to the car, and had some great scrapes with Birger and Roger and towards the end, some fencing with Glen :fencing: No worries Birger, stuff happens, obviously not deliberate. Had I been more awake I might have avoided you instead of driving like nothing was happening. :tank: Title: Re: RRE Season 7 (2020) Race Room Formula Ford - Silverstone - Jun 25 Post by: Glenn Richardson on June 25, 2020, 10:01:35 PM +0100 I owe Frex a massive apology for race 2. Put my rear wheel onto the grass going onto the national loop and spun across into Frex taking him off, apologies for costing you a better result.
I've never really tried open wheel but can now categorically say it's not a strength. Better battle at the end with Roger, Birger and trying to catch Martin but I even managed to throw it off then. Congrats to Geoff, Markus and Picnic. Title: Re: RRE Season 7 (2020) Race Room Formula Ford - Silverstone - Jun 25 Post by: frex on June 26, 2020, 12:34:18 AM +0100 No worries Glenn, just a racing incident, and anyway I was destined to run out of fuel in the second race so it did not cost me a better result!
Tbh, just thankful to be able to race as spent a long time suffering repeated lags and crashes before getting onto the server just in time. Went with default fuel load in the first race, but tried to guess the right amount to take out for the second and obviously got it slightly wrong, running dry as I crossed the line to start the last lap. Ah well, had some good racing along the way. Congrats to the podiums. Ah well, had some good racing along the way. Congrats to the podiums. I had similar problems with time outs and very slow loading! ??? ::) Also found I’d lost my virtual mirror. After an off, tried unsuccessfully to switch it on. When I wrecked my car I switched on the mirror. Tried rebooting computer but then found, unlike GTL, I could not join for the second race. Title: Re: RRE Season 7 (2020) Race Room Formula Ford - Silverstone - Jun 25 Post by: frex on June 26, 2020, 10:54:08 AM +0100 I had similar problems with time outs and very slow loading! ??? ::) Yeah, I guess it's either the reported RRE server problems, or just increased traffic due to the RRE and Steam sales which started recently. Hopefully back to normal soon. Title: Re: RRE Season 7 (2020) Race Room Formula Ford - Silverstone - Jun 25 Post by: Geoffers on June 26, 2020, 12:19:55 PM +0100 Couple of good races both of which were defined by my starts.
1st race I got a good initial getaway but changed into 2nd too early & bogged the engine. Recovered to 3rd on lap 1 behind Markus & Glenn, passed Glenn when he had a bobble at Luffield a couple of laps later but Markus was already 2+s up the road. That gap stayed fairly constant until the finish with Markus a fraction quicker on some laps & me quicker on others. 2nd race I got a much better start from 5th on the grid & was in the lead by Maggots. Glenn & Frex were very close behind for a few laps until their incident which left me with an 8s lead. Gradually kept increasing that to the end except for one lap where I outbraked myself at Maggots & had a trip across the grass losing around 4s. Congrats to Markus & Pete on the podiums.  Title: Re: RRE Season 7 (2020) Race Room Formula Ford - Silverstone - Jun 25 Post by: BillThomas on June 26, 2020, 01:32:08 PM +0100 I had similar problems with time outs and very slow loading! ??? ::) Yeah, I guess it's either the reported RRE server problems, or just increased traffic due to the RRE and Steam sales which started recently. Good race :thumbup1: Thought losing some fuel for race 2 might have helped but I really didn't have an answer to anybody's pace this time out. |
