(4) The season will be run using a UKGTL carpack v1.2 (https://www.simracing.org.uk/downloads/UKGTL-skins-1.2.zip) which will need to be installed prior to racing.

Oh yikes, 40 minutes of wrestling those big bloody yank jobs around the track  :o Was looking forward to another Alfa v cortina scrap  :(

Do we need to do anything special with the track download once its in our GTL/locations dir?....i noticed it had 2 sub-dirs as chicaned or not. Does the game offer both choices in the track selection screen or do we have move the correct files from the sub dir into the Limerock folder ?

Its a nice track with some good undulating areas but i think its going to be a bit narrow for these big 'ol beasts that need loads of room on the black stuff  :-\  ....more suited to nippy motors like the Elise race i had here a while ago.

I foresee plenty of contact if the racing is close  :(

why its in the boot of my Mustang of course  ;)  I guess the good thing is these cars weigh so much, slight contact wont budge 'em ?

Not too familiar with the big yankee cars, is the Falcon easier/worse to drive than the 'Stang?

The Falcon has the same engine, is lighter but has narrower tyres. It's usually a bit quicker than the Mustang.

I'll probably make this one - not familiar with the track at all, but the cars should make interesting viewing in the replay (or a Ruskus special - music video come highlight reel) with lots of back end out action.

Right, I've swapped the pot in my brake pedal over, so tonight's race will be as much of a test of that as anything else.

Did a few laps earlier just to remember where the track goes but I'm not expecting to be terribly competitive.

Then again I don't suppose anyone was expecting me to be.

1:07 after a couple of laps - rubbish.  Can't see me enjoying this one, so I'm going to skip it.

Not a lot of finishers but I surprised myself by really enjoying this and finishing 5th (I think), despite slipping off on the final bend after allowing myself to be distracted by 1p and sliding slightly offline. I certainly prefer the version of LRP without the chicanes, it flows so much better. I suspect that some of the cars ahead of me used up their tyres in the first half of the race because I was keeping pace with quite a few cars which had comprehensively outqualified me.

I know some people don't like the Yank Tanks but IMHO on the right track they're a total blast! ;D

I like this track - and good car choice to complement it, all i need to do now is drive better.. :-\
Gotta say sorry to PRibiero as i lost it on the last corner, and ended up in the middle of the track, and we collided. There wasn't much i could do mate, and i am really sorry if you lost your position, hope it wasn't too bad  ???

Otherwise, a good race, thanks to all that took part  :)

Well I had a good race upto a point. Quall'ed 7th I think. Then had a reasonable start, (opps sorry to James on warmup lap, I slightly touched your rear and took out your brake lights, which did not help me much). Anyways, the race was good, got a few places after 5-6 laps and eventually got upto 3rd (Big smile). Then after a few more laps I receieved a Stop/Go. I saw the 1st and 3rd msg messages saying cut track, but did not see the 2nd, otherwise I would have been more careful. Then on my way around to serve the penalty I got another cut track. So, served the penalty and then off I went again in 8th, behind Gizmo. Then on next s/f crossing I was DQ'ed. Bummed! Not to worry, was fun while it lasted, but was gutted as RSms was on for a easy 1-3 in the race.

Grats to the top 3 (Dam that should have been me)LOL

Cheers Guys.

Well that was.....interesting, I definitely qualified above where I could realistically race at  , so was expecting a seriously hard fight, at one point I felt as if i was going backwards!!  :scared:
Had a few near misses with Big's Warping car but managed to keep it on the blackstuff (most of the time) and due to people leaving in front of me nabbed a quit incredulous 3rd!!

Tyres were FUBAR at the end though, any more laps and I'd have lost my place.

Not a favourite track I'll admit but I ain't looking the gift horse in the mouth!

I couldnt get into it, just dont like the big yank jobs, thought the racing 'might' still be fun but then couldnt face doing 38 laps on them so thought it best if i quit early, and did.  :(
