Season 37 – 1967 F1 Grand Prix Championship

This season, races are to be run at 60fps – please use this patch 60fpsV2newmod (http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=4584#entry33919).

Drivers must complete 50% of each race to score.

The races will be run as follows:

Car set: 1967 F1 only.
Date: Every second Sunday from 5th July 2020
Time: No later then 20:30 UK Time (20 mins practice, race starts at 20:50)
Race Length: 90 minutes
Damage Model:  Grand Prix
Server: TBA
Race List: IGOR
Divisional Moderator: Evil Clive/Dave Curtis

OUCH!  I've just realized that these events are of an extended race length the likes of which would be, for me, a challenge over and above what I might reasonably be expected to meet.  I'm having to withdraw as a consequence.  I'll nominate a entry in the Sprint Series instead.  Sorry.

I registered for this serie.
I am slow but patient so it could be good for me.

On the 67F1 Grand Prix pages, it is indicated "Drivers will be allocated a chassis by the moderator at the start of the season. The faster drivers will be allocated the slower chassis," 
but please, even if I am slow, I don't want to drive Lotus or Eagle with their fragile engines.

Hmmm...  Mulling over my move to withdraw from these extended races.  Might drop from the Sprint Series and re-sign here.  Decisions, decisions...

 Yikes!!! The season start has crept up on me. Apologies for not being awake guys.

I will work on the car allocation tonight and tomorrow morning and will post a list here as soon as it is completed.

The intention is to promote close racing for the duration of the race and is based upon driver's previous performances within UKGPL.
The car allocation will be reviewed mid season and may be changed at the moderator's discretion.

:)....Thx for the BRM , Evil !...but I don't think Iam the best driver here...( see last season results !) ...Uli and Raoni are minimum as fast as me ....but it's a good chalenge and I agree for the BRM....;)

I hope that everyone enjoys the challenge that I have tried to construct for these races.

After 5 races we will have the chance to adjust the cars if the results show that the balance is wrong.

I got it , now you see PW in Race post- please read the rules!

I've put in for <75% on both series, so might turn up for a race at some point depending on distance/track. I'll assume I am getting a BRM for this series  :laugh:

You're in Iestyn. Clive will decide which car you should drive in the GP race but I suspect you are not too far off the mark. You are obviously Works standard whenever you take part in a Sprint race  ;D

I have seen Iestyn in a BRM, although only briefly as he vanished over the horizon!!!

So, I think a Cooper might be a better fit?

As always things will be reviewed after 5 races and some drivers may have their cars changed.  ;)

Looks like Dave has beaten me to it. Mosport with 67s is a good choice. Hopefully a few of our regular drivers will join and give you some practice against real drivers.

C'est OK, tu es inscrit pour le championnat Grand Prix avec des courses d'une durée de 90 minutes ! Possibilité de refaire le plein d'essence si tu as le patch correspondant.
Tu devras faire tous les GP de cette série avec la même F1 !

Clive will decide which car you should drive in the GP race (...I hope he will give you BRM or Honda  ;D  )

Hi to all,
I was driving in the sprint series and found out my pace seems to be better suited for the long distance races. So I am thinking about giving it a try at one of the next events. I still think 1.5h sounds like torture and I am wondering how I can avoid dying of thirst during the race but I am also curious if I can survive ;)

I hope none of you GP-masters are are using Fanatec clubsport wheelbases :)  Was idly looking at some related info earlier & spotted the following attention points...

• The recommended operation time of the wheel with continuous force feedback activity is 1 hour.
Let the wheel cool down for a few minutes before you continue.
• Long playing may cause health risks. Take a break of 5 minutes every 20 minutes, and do not
play for more than 2 hours per day.
• Utilization of the vibration and Force Feedback function may cause damage to your health
