Season 37 - SC67 - Alfa vs Porsche Cup – Round 2 - Mount Panorama

For round 2 we visit Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit Bathurst a motor racing track located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is best known as the home of the Bathurst 12 Hour motor race, held each February, and the Bathurst 1000 motor race, held each October. The track is 6.213 km (4 mi) long, and is technically a street circuit, as the circuit is a public road when no racing events are being run, and there are many residences which can only be accessed from the circuit. The track is an unusual design by modern standards, with a 174-metre (570-foot) vertical difference between its highest and lowest points, and grades as steep as 1:6.13. From the start-finish line, the track can be viewed in three sections; the short pit straight and then a tight left turn into the long, steep Mountain straight; the tight, narrow section across the top of the mountain itself; and then the long, downhill section of Conrod Straight, and the turn back onto pit straight to complete the lap.
Please check the Season 37 details (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=1102&theme=6) regarding rules and the Alfa vs Porsche Cup pages (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=1122&theme=6) in particular.

Handicapping
"Works" drivers will carry extra weight in form of 10 gallons of fuel (to remain in the tank after the race).
Drivers are expected to behave in a fair and gentlemanly fashion and declare how much fuel they have left after the race.

In order to ensure there will be 10 gallons of fuel left after the race, the minimum race fuel load for Works is expected to be:
  • Alfa T33 = 23 gallons (87 litres)
  • Porsche = 24 gallons (91 litres)

Two resets will be allowed (there is no need to carry out a Stop and Go in the pit lane if you make a Shift-R).
Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 incidents carry an extra 1 place penalty.
Only reported incidents will be moderated.

Same for me. Screen freeze on lap 8 (16 to go), I think. Pity I had a good pace and I was holding a comfortable 6th?

3 freezes. We need to look at the replay and see if they were coincident. If so, it is likely it was a common cause?
