Race: 20:40 (22 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: To score points in this series you must complete over 50% of the overall race distance.

 :taz: Codding haddocking goldfish......... Was plodding along at the back when Dan had an off
caught and passed him. Did you take damage Dan? then was so busy not watching where I was going
I forgot to turn left in the final chicane, and went to pits, hit escape to cancel the mechs, (second time I've done that)
game over, idiot  >:(

@ Matt
I was in no man's land so I had been waiting for you for some fun. Great pass, but was rather puzzled when I saw you dive  into the pitlane at full speed!

@Daz
It wasn't until the replay that I saw that you got a nudge from Clive. In my mirror it looked as if you performed this great pirouette entirely on your own. Unlucky. Great comeback though.

Big congrats to Geoffers for the win and the title and to Daz for the second position and the silver medal

My race was going great in the first 10 laps. I started from P3 with my Mini but i knew that i will lose some positions until the first corner.

I was now in P5 when Clive and Daz collided and i took P3. After that i wanted to stay with Geoffers but he was just too fast for me.

We started great battle with Dan for second position but i knew that Daz will overtake me as he was matching Geoff's pace behind me.

This happened and it was now Daz and Dan battling for P2. I was lurking behind them. And when Daz attacked Dan i was able to sneak around Dan as well but i think maybe i made a cut there, so sorry Dan  ;D

After Daz was now gone we continue our battle with Dan but unfortunately he made a mistake and to the finish i had to talk about different topics for the viewers like Formula 1 and past San Marino races :D

At the end i was able to finish the race and the championship in P3 which is great.  :)

To be honest I did not expect to win this, Daz posted a time in practice which was far better than I had achieved & I was not confident of completing an error free race on a track I have never really liked. Fortunately for me Daz did not record a representative time in qually & I nabbed pole with my first 2.15 Alfa lap on the track.

Got a good start & took the lead from a fast starting Dan. Again fortunately Daz went off on lap 1 & gave me some breathing space & I was able to ease away from Dan & DD. I still had to drive hard though as I was sure Daz was faster & would eventually be hunting me down, so it proved. When he got into 2nd place he started to close in by half a second or more a lap & at that rate he would probably catch me by the end, but I managed to up my pace a little & limit the losses. About lap 15 the gap grew by 3-4s & after that I was able to increase the gap on most laps & reach the finish with a comfortable margin.

Congrats to Daz & DD on the race & championship podiums.  :clap: :clap:

Big thanks to Tony for running this entertaining series.  :thumbup2:
