Season 37 Fun Race – Laguna Seca

The mid-season fun races have been popular & very well attended. One more chance before the Season 37 summer break is over.
It’s not quite Ford versus Ferrari at Le Mans – but the theme is familiar. Lola v Ferrari at Laguna Seca. Free choice of either car for all drivers.

Server = UKGPL8
IP = See IGOR
Race date = Tuesday 25 August 2020
Time = 21.00 UK time.
Track=Laguna (http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=9284%20%20http://dixierunners.speedgeezers.net/laguna67/)
Race length = 40 Laps
Variant = 1967 SCX - Lola or Ferrari only
60fps patch used 60fpsV2newmod
Damage Model = Intermediate
Qualifying time = 30 minutes minimum.

Races are to be run at 60 frames per second – please use the 60 fps patch.

It’s a fun race – try out Teamspeak.

Unlimited Resets, no Stop & Go required.

Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

I've no idea what happened there. I was having a good battle with Andreas and Doni until I made a mistake and dropped back. A few laps later all the flag marshals were waving as if it was the end of the race but I'm sure we were only about half way. Then the race was over and the newspaper article popped up declaring Tris the winner with Tom second. Never seen anything like that before, very wierd!

It would appear that we all saw the same Phil, I spoke with Axel on TS and he was perplexed as to what happened, and also to some in IGOR chat who had the same weirdness :blink: :blink: :blink:

My iGOR chat doesn't work for some reason so I didn't know there was some post race discussion on there. If Axel is perplexed then we are all in the dark! :eek:

Race was ended after 19laps by the server...

There is a time gap in the files, so no import, Ziu's practice is not accepted in the Groundhog upload!?

Yes, but there you see that Ziu and Doni have their practice times not accepted - so the bug must be in the rpy!
(or is it my rpygui.txt file?) but I tried twice with 2 PC's...

Did you get why the race has been stopped ? (at its half distance I think ?)

Yes sorry Tom - the server ended the race itself after 19 laps, no idea what caused this :oops:

This has never happened before and after... a miracle...
