Example Setups:

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I don't remember it either but it was even longer ago I did my one and only race here. That was also the last race before my enforced 5 and half month sabbatical from this online racing lark :(

Heads up, RaceRoom is going to get some pointless update today because they decided to start fiddling with the URLs of the servers. I couldn't get in for hours last night so hopefully it's not more of the same.

Well, as it happens so little, I tend to remember when I get the class record in qual  ::)

Good evening,

2 questions: - how the hell do you start properly (with these cars very difficult) any tips?
- can you give tips how to reduce ONLY the left front tire from heat up (camber doesn't work)?

thx

Start properly, don't know. os there launch control for these cars? other wise get the revs up to 2/3 and let the clutch out so as minimise wheelspin
Balance the temps accross axles? Try softer front roll bar, then the inside wheel will take more load. Run the tyres harder so they heat up less

You are aware, I hope, that you do not need to use the clutch to start. You cannot jump the start in Raceroom, so just put it in 1st gear, give it some revs & when the lights change away you go. Try a few starts against the AI to see how much throttle you need for a good start. I wish they would make the starts more realistic by making use of the clutch mandatory.

Tyres, no idea, just drive it & hope, that's what I do. Actually you could try softening the suspension, that should not stress the tyres so much.

Thx for the tips, Martin was behind me in the start so he was aware  ;D

Great race and for the first 15min had some good fights with Martin and Pete (hopefully all clean). After mid race my fuel calculator added another lap so i came 2l too short. So i need to lifted for the remainder of the race. I think Stephen had the same problem because he also slowed down between 1s and 2s a lap. So it was a fight with Stephen together with managing the fuel, in the final lap Stephen took me on the inside of the chicane, but i made the switch back and overtook him again in the exit of the chicane. Unfortunately i did my only spin at the last hairpin  :'(

Came without fuel on the finish straight

Congrats to the winner, and good to see back two new persons for me, but apparently old persons for SROUK

FUN RACE

Must apologise to Matt for helping him around. Why do these things happen when you're not attempting a pass? After waiting we were at the back of the field but I enjoyed the race and gaining a couple of positions back, even if they were only due to me have enough fuel ;)

what an awesome car/track combo!
normally I end up drifting back and hotlapping on my own, but seemed to be able to hold the pace of everyone else today, lots of close racing.

@BiriBiri , my fuel level was ok, it was the front left tyre that was giving me problems, it went orange from about half distance and I had to really slow down mid corner to stop understeering off the track

Hi and welcome back to Alessandro and Riccardo and big well done to Geoff on a strong win.

Like the Hockenheim race, I spent most of practice and qualifying mowing the grass. I inherited 4th and 3rd after Riccardo and Mark had offs on the first lap but didn't have the pace to go after the leaders. Gradually I grew into the race and started a great battle with Alessandro for 2nd and my pace in the middle sector seemed strong. I got greedy trying to cut back to the inside out of the last turn and spun losing a lot of ground.

After this I pushed harder than I wanted to trying to catch up but lost it again along the left kink before the last right handers of all places. I pushed again but it was too little too late and had to settle for 3rd. Really enjoyed the race though  :thumbup1:

I enjoyed it as far as I went  ::)  Pete managed to tap me into a spin as I was doing a great job of holding everyone up....
after I did a good "Geoffers Start".
Took ages to get out of the gravel, and was not really on the pace so slowly fell back got bored then so left.

Funny race. Geoff was too fast for me. I thought to compete with him for a couple of laps, but he passed me at the end of first lap and gone away like a rocket  ;D

Nice to see you again mates.

Really seem to have clicked with these cars & very pleased & surprised to get a 1.29 in qually.

Alessandro got a better start & led for a couple of laps until I managed to squeeze through into the final double right. Got in some good laps & eased away from Alessandro & Glenn battling for 2nd. Nearly threw it away on the final lap by running off track at the fast right on the return leg. ::)

Congrats to Alessandro & Glenn.

Good to see Alessandro & Riccardo again.  :thumbup1:
