Think i'll take the GT40 as dont think i have ever used it for a competitive race ??? and its a sexy beast. Failing that it'll be the Blackpool Tiv.

Yeah I will be racing - Elan probably, as I have very little experience in the other cars on offer.

 :jumpjoy: hahahahahehehehohohohahaheheh
Congratulations Madd-Rip, congratulations all podium ;)
I qualified 4th, behind 2 GT40 and Baracus Elan, not bad :shifty:
1st or 2nd lap (1st mistake) i spun entering the stadium section :-[ recovering.............
let all field pass and there i go, in last >:( recovering.......
3rd lap (2nd mistake) i spun at the big straight, fall to last again >:( recovering..........
4th lap (3rd mistake) i spun exiting the stadium section, last position again >:( recovering.......
Then , after another recovering places, BANG ! I was hit and spun ;D
then , after another recovering places, BANG ! I was hit again by the same driver and spun ;D
then  after.........you know................BANG ! I was hit again :scared:..........you know.........
by the same 2 last hits driver....hahahahahahahahahhahahahaha , was crazy but fun ;D
No problem at all, because i know that was all unintentional m8, i had my race screwed, anyway. :)
So, at the end i was having brake, suspension, steering and whatever issues
Was a different fun race, thanks all.
Cheers.........................hahahehehehehahahahhihihihih

Well cut it fine to join the server, maybe too fine! had no real setup for the track so basically winged it a bit  ;D Car was understeery as hell but at least the back end stayed in check for most of the race, had a good battle with Assassino and Baracus but slowly eked out a lead and just basically tried to keep an even pace throughout (not that I could go any faster though).

Well chuffed I could finally use my Gulf skinned car (1st ever skin).
Unfortunately  a very sparsely populated race but GTR 2 is to blame I expect, some people I lapped could have waited before compromising their lines as much as they did, but thanks!

A hollow victory perhaps (wouldn't have got near if 'other' people had been there) but a nice one  ;)

That were 'ard werk!

Good start, blowing Goran's little yellow Elan comprehensively away with TVR muscle power. Had a good scarp with Shark for the first 8-10 laps with us trading places repeatedly. I got a couple of cut track warnings on the inside of T1 and was having to be a bit careful, and gradually the tyre performance was falling away. Annoyingly GTL_PD stopped transmitting at some point so I had no idea if it was wear or temperature but by 75% distance Goran was catching me again and the car was becoming increasingly hard to handle, losing 1.5s a lap in the middle sector and eventually getting into a massive slide in turn 1 which I couldn't arrest and ended up crossing the pit exit and bouncing off the tyres on the right, luckily not spinning but handing the place to Goran.

From there it was a matter of struggling home and the last 2-3 laps were a real battle with the car not wanting to slow for the hairpin and getting out of shape in all the acceleration areas. To top it all off I got another cut track and a stop and go on the last lap - pitted but my garage was beyond the line. I think it let me off but we'll have to see what the export says. :-\

Had the race been 10 minutes shorter I'd have really, really enjoyed it but as it was I came away slightly frustrated. ::)

I did start noticing clouds of dust tyre smoke appearing in the distance...... thought oh  oh someone's having a bit of a mare ;)

That was one of the very few online races ever I've actually raced my brother Gizmo properly. Have to say it was a complete hoot. I had complete faith with him to drive side by side for corner after corner and that made it even better. The TVR just blew my Cobra away once it was in 3rd / 4th gear down the straights,  but then I'd make it all back under braking and round the stadium section. About 60% through and after "passing" Gizmo countless times I eventually made the break and he went into self destruct mode.

Shame the turnout keeps getting lower, although we're still getting more than the rFactor races. Took me the whole of practice and qually to get a feel for the cars again after so much GTR2, but I felt reasonably comfortable in the race avoiding the urge to overdrive the car.

Nice win Madd-RIPP. Thought about the GT40 too, but have hardly driven the Cobra so decided on the slow version (black convertable) and wasn't a bad decision at all.

:( Did not prepare, huge mistake qualified last(not that i was expecting any thing better). Things just got worse from there as a recieved stop and go for cutting corners and then got frustrated and gave up.

Take it madd won, Well Done  probably won't hear the end of it tomorrow in work. :hang: :scooter:

Track I hate with a passion, and my least favorite class. I knew this was not good combo for my first race. Had some very interesting battles at the back, and quite enjoyed the race. PRibeiro, sorry for those repeated hits, it was really not intentional. First hit - you were so slower through T1, that I thought you stopped, and couldn't avoid you. I was also hit a couple of times, but it was nice racing with you last night. Well, until I got message that I was DQ for ignoring S&G. Never saw I actually got one.

I really like this track, but dislike this (GTC65) class, just so much hard work keeping them pointing the right way, especially when i havent driven them for so long.  :(
It didnt help that i kept thinking i had a 5 speed box and kept dropping it into 1st after so much GTR2 driving lately, and causing some real wobbles into the braking zones.  ::)

Low turnout, i guess everyone has dropped it for GTR2 now  :(..or may just be this class/format thats un-popular ? :-\

Thank you :) Lucky guess with the password I assume as I can't believe someone might have told you  ::) Please would people ask their friends to sign up on the forum prior to racing. It's not hard and costs nothing.

I love the GTC65 class -> I find it much better than the TC65 and about as good as the GTC76. Track was not so hot, but IMO still good enough to have a good race.
As said I didnt have any net acces yesterday, otherwise I would be there.
I think that people like GTR2 more as it is easier to get fammiliar with and feels a lot quicker. I find it more simple to drive than GTL - it is easier to get some quick laps in and there is less accurate throtle controll needed which I guess attracts people as it makes for a closer field and makes people concentrate more on the racing itself than just keeping the car on the road.
I do like GTR2, but I find wrestling with a Pantera, Escort or a Cobra far more appealing.
What GTL would need though would be a bit more accurate turn in simmilar to GTR2 -> that would make it brilliant.
Cant wait for Race with the WTCC 87 8)
