Practice: 20:00 (30 mins)
Qual: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 (30mins)

Cars allowed: GT4

Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry

Start: Rolling start
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: none required

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.
(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.
(6) Start procedure
*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Well done Geoff on the win and series

Not sure what happened on lap 2, didn't think I'd run that wide out of the turn at the end of the straight but I must have as I spun through the next turn with dirty tyres. After that I looked after the tyres for a while but couldn't make any inroads into the gap at the front so I began pushing from the halfway point. I was closing the gap for a while but overheated the tyres so ended up giving most of the gap back towards the end as the tyres became a struggle.

Well done Mark as well on a solid podium finish.

Thanks Glenn, happy to win the series, but it was you missing one race that really decided it.

Looked like being a close race at Anderstorp but Glenn's early spin diluted it a little. I still had to drive hard though as Mark was only a couple of seconds or so back for much of the race & I got a little concerned about lap 14 when I twice ran off track on the same lap & the gap came down. Thankfully I got my act back together & brought the car home.

Congrats to Mark & Glenn on the race podium & to Glenn & Toni on the championship podium.

Thanks also to Stephen for organising.  :notworthy:

Enjoyed driving the Evora, for obvious reasons, but if we run these again in future I will have to try a different car. Noticed that the Audi R8 GT4 is joining this class imminently.

That car is not easy to drive, that was really tough!

Well done Geoff on the win, Bad luck Glenn as you were clearly quicker than me, just from watching your close us down after your spin. After the first couple of laps I realised the fronts were wearing quick around here though tried to focus on the gap as I knew Glenn would be coming back. Just tried and failed mostly to be consistent.

Car feels more TC than a GT, Always felt it just understeered too much despite going for fall camber and ARB on the rear and negative toe.

The GT4s never quite felt satisfying to drive..

Always look forward to these races, the KTM is a delight to drive, although I'm not so familiar with the other cars. However, messed up several of my races with an early spin and then having to play catch up, as here. Still fun though.

Congrats Geoff for the win and the championship.

The Lotus was the safe choice for me, and probably too safe for my liking. The defaults were so understeery I was really struggling for pace, and when you try to make it less glued to the road it becomes a bit sketchy over the kerbs. Also the circuit choices didn't really fit the GT4 cars (as mentioned by Mark they really are closer to RWD TCRs), maybe smaller club-style circuits would have been better. Anderstorp at least was a blast, one of my favourite circuits back from RACE 07.

Hopefully a new tyre model will revitalise this class in addition to adding the Audi and fixing the Porkers. The Cayman Trophy version drives beautifully and if the GTR4 version drove the same I would have snap picked that one.
