Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Quick question about race 2 Tony:  Is it class B thru D, thus including class C, or is it only B & D?

Lovely little and short circuit. I love it. I think i will go with Lotus Cortina and Austin Mini Cooper S for this events.

59.7 with Cortina and 1:01.7 with Mini.

I upload my Hot Laps and setups if any one wants to take a look: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jnF1QAxZOHVEUuugFQZN3O0ITK5AbnHM/view?usp=sharing

Ahh, too bad, missed run 1 because our ETCC planning took too long and couldn't get a handle on the Alfa for run 2 without any real track knowledge. Then spinned early in the race and stood very dangerously against the driving direction. That's why I rather pressed ESC before I spoil someone's race because of it. Too bad for the championship, is a nice series.

Glück auf!

Grats to the podiums and class winners. I do enjoy these multi class battles with vastly different cars and last night's hostilities were no exception.

First, thanks to Hristo for his advice regarding my steering problems in GTL  in a spell of unofficial practice on Tuesday . All of which did nothing to improve my lap times. H was offering driving advice/tips regarding technique with the lumbering Jag and could see that I was fighting the car.

I had been suffering/struggling with snap oversteer/instability under braking and then understeer mid corner. In my attempts to dial in correction for all of this I had been actually going in totally the wrong direction and it was Hristo's observation about my wheel rotation vs the setup wheel ratio that opened the door to a more stable car.......thanks H.
During the 2 races last night I was gaining confidence ( which I had totally lost recently ) in the braking and cornering  and actually had my first ? ever satisfying race in a MINI!!!  whisper it quietly but was almost enjoying the car after 20 laps  ;)

Race 2 and I had to use a car that I had been avoiding and this seemed as good a track as any to do it.
The super tanker Jag was a totally different car, but with steering that actually works now, I was in with a fighting chance. As the race progressed and I avoided multiple Falcons ( or maybe it was the same car many times??) I was slowly getting faster and actually leading my class. OK there were only 2 Jags and we were guarding the rear of the field  ::).  Then with 2 laps to go I missed my downshift at the end of the back straight and went from 4th to 1st, with the resulting spin stuffing me nose first into the wall. Andy, in the 2nd Jag, cruised past to take the class win with his usual measured drive.

The steering still feels different to my old Logitech G25, but thanks to Hristo things are getting much better.  Just the random FF to sort now, last night there was zero FF in Practice, but it surfaced as we switched to Quali ???

You're welcome, Clive, but the numbers I suggested for in-game setup were maybe a bit too low, now that I'm thinking about it. It turns out I'm using 362 degrees of rotation, not 460 as I thought, and usually between 19:1 and 22:1 ratio in garage setup window.

If I remember correctly, you said you are using 290 degrees of rotation, so the 22:1 on my end would translate to about 17-18 on yours. So anything between 16-18 should be OK. It's a personal preference of course, depending whether you like to turn the wheel more or not.

It's probably your lack of (well) functioning FFB that prevents you from feeling how much steering is necessary to reach the limit but not go over it? I have no idea why it keeps getting disabled for some sessions though, what a mystery...

As for my race, I tried my best in race 1 to fight off the quicker (on the straights) Minis of Geoffers and AGM, after making a great start to take the lead. I lost the lead temporarily a few times, only to regain it by braking earlier and take a better line through the next corner. It was a matter of time though, before both of them overtook me and started pulling away. Only a mistake from either of them would've given me a chance and what do you know - it's exactly what happened when they made contact and I was through into first again. I wish Geoffers didn't wait for AGM, so we would have a fight for the victory, but I understand why he did it. From there on it was just 3-4 laps until the finish and I just cruised to take the win.

In race 2 it was impossible to challenge the Falcons with the Cortina, but making it through a melee that happened ahead on lap 1 moved me up to 4th, which I kept for most of the race, until AGM finally caught up to me and overtook me effortlessly. 5th was pretty much the best possible I could hope for.

Congrats to Daz for the win in the 2nd race and all the rest for bringing it home!

Overall very enjoyable races at one of my favorite little tracks, which I have fond memories of from my GPL days. One thing I don't get for this championship is why I still have 2 unused Jaguars, even though I drove them twice at Aintree. Did we start with 4 car uses in that class?

+1  :) ;)

After i found a way to join after all by changing the gdb-file (working a lot with modified files atm (addon classes))
I realized that I was on the wrong car.

As there were 10 minutes left until quali I finally decided to miss this one and instead I tried my first lap on Nurburgring Gesamtstrecke  :P

Always enjoy these cars & Crystal Palace is a great little track for them.

First race was an excellent battle with Hristo & Alvaro for the win. Unfortunately it ended with a coming together between Alvaro & myself & gifted Hristo the win.

Race 2, I was not on the pace of Hristo & DD in the Cortina class & I only got a class 2nd due to DD getting involved with Matt's error at North Tower Cresent. Had an odd experience at the end when I got a big oversteery moment exiting the final corner & ended up finishing the race down the pitlane.  :o

Congrats to Hristo & Daz on their race wins & to Hristo & Andy on their class wins in race 2.

Only just noticed this Hristo. I'll look into it and report back.

@ Hristo - Aintree 2nd race, you never made it to the start grid therefore your Jag drive doesn't count.

Thanks, Tony. Does it mean that I had 3 Jag class uses at the start of the championship? 2 now after driving the car once in the first race at Aintree.

Yes, three Jags, three Falcons and two drives each in everything else, at the start of the Championship.
