Car restrictions: One drive maximum per make/per night. You decide which race you enter which make in.

Race restrictions: Any driver who cannot achieve a minimum lap time of 1:28.0 in qualification setup should not enter these events.

RACE ONE
Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (5 mins) Drivers must not leave qualifying to change car make. One attempt at a timed lap only
Race: 20:25 (12 laps)

RACE TWO & RACE THREE will follow, with same rules

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

In fact a difficult one. If you leave the track on top of the mountain you miss the second interim
and will loose one lap automatically...  :P

At least I've got the time restrictions (1.22.2 in the E-type)  ;D

Indeed it is!  :yes: - albeit a very tricky one with these cars  :o  Would recommend we get a few more practice minutes between races, to adapt to the next car.

Puzzled Tony; why the cutoff time - never seen that used  before in my time here.  Seems forgiving too; wouldn't expect anyone to have problems meeting it.

Can confirm Kurt's warning - my first timed lap was over 5 minutes, as I kept going off in that place and the lap never finished (so 4 laps only counted as one).

From those previous posts I will consider myself  "warned" and try to give this track some pre race attention  :o

Track is scary! Something I noticed from practice today - don't cut T1, not even a little bit!  ;D

Yes, you will roll if you do most of the time  :D

Haven't tried that yet - there are some advantages to running wide all the time...  :D

Aston is the fastest, Ferrari is 2-3 tenths slower and then Jaguar is about 0.5-1 sec behind.

Hehe, I'm 0.5s faster in the Jaguar than the other two cars. ???

And I am fastest in the Ferri, then the Jaaaagggg, then Aston close behind

I'm fastest and slower with the Aston cause i drove only that car.  :ban:

             I originally decided to take part only at one race as I had no time for intensive testing of all cars.
             Now I'll try at least two races.

The track reminds me of Bilster Berg

I'm currently fastest in the Jag with the other two equal 2nd.

So cars flipping on their own after going sideways is actually realistic in GTL! And you're welcome!


Just watched an onboard of that one, would be great if it exists for GTL so we can drive it some time.

There's something totally wrong with the Jag's here. I was 5 (!) seconds slower that H in Aintree with the same setup and now i made 20.9 with the Jag here. After i change the skin i made immediately 17.9 with few small mistakes.

Can you provide relevant car #'s?

17.9 with Number 2 and i think 820 for 20.9. Maybe this is a glitch appearing whenever it wants? I can remember Paddler having the same problem at Albi.

I have not been able to identify a difference in their physics file's  ???
I'll give them an offline test to see if I get similar results.

DD is right.


I will try some others, but 820 is definately slower than the one I usually use - 584, and 2 is the same as 584.
I get mid 19 with 2 or 820 and mid 22 with 820

EDIT: 820 is heavier at 1160kg with a claimed 142 mph. 2 and 584 are 940 and 139mph top speed.
which suggests 820 should be faster, but isn't

Edit 2: 851 and 853 say 1030kg and 134, and 130 mph, but I get "car not present on server for those two"

Well after a brief test I was 9 tenths faster in the #820 and after fewer laps than in the #2

I have 2x 820
one is 940 kg, the other is 1160kg

I guess from a previous download

All the Jags should have the same weight e.g. 940kg.

All the cars show (GC) in their description. Pretty sure the #820 your quoting isn't a (GC) car.

It is something else for sure. I think the message is only use a 940kg Jag, whatever else you may have

BTW if anyone does go off track after the first summit and loses a lap, please keep racing. I think I can fix it in the results manually afterwards (hopefully).

The heavier #820 is a standard GTL car.

This is the one that made the problem.

And I have two of those 820. Perhaps yours still has the original GTL car specs
even though it doesn't show it.

You've done something wrong here Matt. Tony gave as an update so the cars will have a "GC" after their names.

I was struggling to control the car with the loss of FF ....not that anyone could have noticed the difference from outside of my car  ::)

Not sure "wrong" is appropriate. To me it was an optional patch to help people choose the right cars
and I have always chosen the right cars  :angel:

Not sure why but I really didn't enjoy this track as much as I thought I would. Probably better suited to lower power cars like in Lasse's Div 1.

No worries Tony. I was sure it wasn't my fault there so this is why i didn't waited for you. Never mind this were three races i want to forget asap.

Very much liked the track, even in these cars, and want to like the series, but getting very tired of all the incidents.

Good qual for race 1, but lasted only until T1 on the first lap.  Had nowhere to go when DD started a spin. Couldn't avoid hitting him, which spun me round, facing the oncoming traffic.  Became a ping pong ball of the last ones - apologies to Robby; thought all had passed when I started turning.  Regained places from Clive & Tony when they had moments, but then lost the rear myself, in a place I didn't otherwise have problems, so maybe the car was damaged.  That let Clive & Tony past, only for them to come together in the following corner.  Dust & smoke made it difficult to pick a line, and I collided with Tony, going off and rolling the car.  Red mist now so thick that I went off over the lap-losing hump and just quit in disgust.

Race two highlight of the evening.  Chased Daz as hard as I could, trying to pester him the way he usually does me.  Eventually his alien genome took over though and he slipped away.  At the same time, I gradually slipped away from Fulvio, who had been chasing me.  An original 4th was upgraded to 3rd when DD went for the pits early on.

Race 3 I jumped Clive at the start, which turned out to be a bad call. On L2 he accidently tapped me into a spin, losing 3 places in the process.  No worries Clive - have lost FFB myself once and know how difficult it becomes to drive without it.  Chased after Matt & Fulvio as hard as I could, and eventually got past both, when they had moments off track.  My original 4th was out of reach however, now being in the clutches of Geoffers, Daz and ultimately DD.

Grats to Hristo on the Hattrick - and thanks for providing setups; they were all better than my own concoctions.  Grats to remaining podiums and commiserations to the unfortunate ones.

@ Clive. Sorry for the bump in Race 1. I did apologise to Erling but on viewing the replay I see that it was you I collided with.
