Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Did some laps with the Datsun yesterday. Very strange version of the track, but quite entertaining once learned. No two laps are the same it seems.

Used my Estoril setup, but changed it to have more oversteer so I can carry more speed through the fast and long corners. Also made the gears 1 click shorter.

Managed a 1:21.something so far. The final chicane has to be cut significantly, yet avoid the invisible limit that invalidates your lap time. Tricky!

Sprayed my pedal pots with electrical contact cleaner this pm.

If anyone spots my brake lights flickering could they please let me know after the race.

Cheers

Well, I was of course going slowly at the back of the field in order to observe Tony's tail lights  ::), However, it would appear that he was unavoidably sucked along in the draft from a handful of Datsuns and I was unable to verify the correct operation of his brake lights.  :-*

Tony, your brake lights were flickering & flashing in places where they most definitely shouldn't, so it appears that all is not well yet, unfortunately.

Awesome battle with Dimitar and Daz! I had the upper hand at the start, but then barely held onto first, with Daz and Dimitar very close in my mirrors. After a few laps I suddenly found more pace and pulled away, only for the advantage to swing back to the others behind and see my lead disappear.

An off and a spin made things worse and I was suddenly down to third, several seconds behind Dimitar and trying to challenge Daz for 2nd. We both gradually caught up to the leader and so it was a 3 way fight again.

I managed to pass both fairly easy as they seemed to struggle out of some of the corners, but once ahead, I was immediately under pressure once more, as my rear left tyre was too worn out by then. Somehow managed to keep it in front though, even if I was very slow through the last chicane.

Grats to Dimitar and Daz for making this a memorable race, and to everyone else for reaching the finish in one piece!

Hristo said it great. I think this was the race of the year at UKGTL. Amazing 3-way battle for the victory from the start to the finish.

Grats to Hristo and Daz and everyone able to finish. Sympathies to Matt and Clive.

Difficult track and never a favorite of mine.  Car choice was either my last Porsche drive or a bonus Datsun drive.  When the entire alien contingent showed up in Datsuns, it became pointless wasting a Datsun drive, as I couldn't hope to compete with them anyway.  Thus stayed with the Porker.

Surprised to beat other Datsun drivers in qual, but lost a place to Matt at the start, as the Datsuns appered to be much faster off the line.  Gave chase, with Tony close behind.  After a couple of laps, Matt veered off and retired - real life intruding?   Joy over being back in 4th was shortlived; few corners later I lost the rear in the chicane, letting Tony past. Slowly reeled him in and waited when he made a mistake, as I wasn't certain if I touched him or not (I didn't, replay revealed).  More chase until another mistake from Tony let me past.

Now had him in hot pursuit over many laps.  Got two cut warnings during this, of course when actually losing time, so had to be very careful not to get the final one.  Spun again in the chicane, letting Tony past - really had to tiptoe over those curbs in the Porker, if it wasn't to throw a hissy fit.  Next the alien brigade showed up in the mirror. Lost a lot of time letting them past, and added insult to injury when I put a rear foot outside the track next lap, causing the car to violently snap off and into the barrier, losing the front in the process.  Now 22 secs behind Tony. Shaved 3 secs off in same amount of laps, but still little hope of catching him.  He suddenly showed up just ahead however, so obviously had lost a lot of time too.  New chase until he spun, letting me back into 4th.

Aliens appeard for the 2nd time.  Only had a 4-sec gap over Tony, so couldn't afford to lose as much time letting them past as the first time.  Tried to minimize the loss without holding them up, but gap to Tony still dropped below 2 secs.  Stage set for some intense last laps, but I had forgotten that the race would be shortened by two laps for us, so ended in time for me to retain 4th.

Grats to Hristo & pod, thanks to Tony for the company/battle, and commiserations to Matt & Clive.
