Title: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: Phil Thornton on December 21, 2020, 08:00:35 PM +0000 Season 38 – Mixed Open Wheel championship
Please check the Season 38 details (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=1262&theme=6) regarding rules and the Mixed Open Wheel pages (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=1302&theme=6) in particular. This season, races are to be run at 60fps – please use this patch 60fpsV2newmod (http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=4584#entry33919). If you have issues read festers post (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=12905.msg232771#msg232771). Drivers must complete 50% of each race to score. The races will be run as follows: Car set: 1965 F1, 1966 F1, 1967 F2, 1968 F1 (early) and 1969 F1 Extra. Date: Every second Tuesday from 19th January 2021 Time: No later then 9:00pm UK Time (30-60 mins practice, race starts at 9:30pm) Race Length: 50 minutes Damage Model: Intermediate Server: UKGPL04_60fps Race List: IGOR Divisional Moderator: Billy Nobrakes IMPORTANT All drivers who enter this series must chose a 'team'. The teams are mainly based on the F1 team, with a few minor changes. Details are shown in the Mixed Open Wheel Series page (see link above). We have created 9 nine groups. The only restriction is that Pro / Works standard drivers cannot select Groups 7, 8 or 9. There is a great deal of choice where some teams had a fairly poor car in some seasons but a much more competitive car in other years. Once you have selected a team / group you must stick with it for the whole season. When voting can you please indicate which team / group you will be driving for. Calendar:
"Works" drivers are not allowed any resets. "Privateer" drivers are allowed a maximum of one reset with a compulsory Stop & Go within two laps. Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 incidents carry an extra 1 place penalty. Only reported incidents will be moderated. If you would like to enter this series please submit an entry in the poll. Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: AnGex on December 27, 2020, 08:37:14 AM +0000 My choice is group 5 as well. ;)
Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: Phil Thornton on December 27, 2020, 11:40:53 AM +0000 Lots of Matras this time. We need a few drivers to go for Groups 1 to 4 in order to keep a good variety of cars on the grid. There are some excellent cars amongst them, it would be nice to see some McLarens on the grid.

Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: maddog on December 28, 2020, 05:43:19 PM +0000 I reminder that montjc69 caused a few disco's, during final pre-release testing, when using 69x mod cars. Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: fpolicardi on December 28, 2020, 08:22:08 PM +0000 I forgot to thx the admins for including my track Vallelunga '71, a nice choice for F2

Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: maddog on December 29, 2020, 01:59:11 PM +0000 Without a fix, disco's are a serious possibility. I've made a much shorter draw distance, but that's a stab in the dark. 69x carries a heavy graphics load. V1 is your safer bet unless a fix comes first.
Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: Phil Thornton on December 29, 2020, 02:08:17 PM +0000 OK, we'll have to swap to v1. I wouldn't want to change tracks, Montjuich is such an iconic venue for the 69s.
Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: GregT on December 29, 2020, 10:56:17 PM +0000 Group 6 please. This is amusing. I've driven Japanese cars most of my life but I've never owned a Honda.

My son William would like to sign up as well but he's not got an account yet. Sorry, I've tried sending you a PM but they just won't go. What should he do to sign up? Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: Phil Thornton on January 15, 2021, 03:52:13 PM +0000 Group 5 for me ;D Good choice Axel, the inclusion of the 69x cars this season makes the Matras a bit more appealing.I hope you wear Jackie Stewart tartan for the Montjuich round :thumbup1: Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: Raoni Frizzo on January 18, 2021, 01:48:02 AM +0000 I guess I'll be able to race only the first two race this season. After them my holidays will be over and unfortunately my schedule will clash with Tuedays races.
I choose group 5 for me Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: Leo Menegucci on January 29, 2021, 04:31:39 PM +0000 Hi,

Title: Re: Season 38 Mixed Open Wheel Championship - Registration Post by: maddog on March 10, 2021, 09:36:18 PM +0000 Requesting a late entry for some remaining races, if grid space available near the off. Group 9 preferred to avoid blocking the track.

Group 9 preferred to avoid blocking the track. Registration processed Martin. You are the 22nd registered driver so you may have to wait on race nights to make sure there is enough space for you. You should be OK but we've had 16,16,19,18 drivers on the grid this season so far, so it is quite a popular series. |
