We are using the GPL Brazil scoring system for both the Works and Privateers this season. The only difference is the Works will be run under Pro rules with no resets allowed.

Hopefully the GPL Brazil drivers are familiar with the GPL Brazil rules but if not, here they are in Portuguese:  (hopefully the translator did a good job ;) )

As corridas serão realizadas sob as regras "Intermediárias".

A regra simples é:

Moderadores: Dave Curtis e JonnyO.

It's telling me I'm not qualified to join either server. I've got the 60fps mod checked in GEM+ and have rebooted. Can you help?

Hi Pepe, have you recently enabled the 60fpsv2newmod in GEM+ ? If so, did you delete the gplc67.exe first, in case it has not been overwritten? (seems to be an issue/how it is sometimes).

I've tried everything I can thing of. GEM recreates the .exe file but it doesn't seem to change the 60fps check box. Do you know what file I need to change it in via the Notepad program?

Settings are in GEM.INI,  which is probably in your folder:  C:\Users\Public\Documents\GEM+

Or, if you have compatability mode enabled, it could be in in the same folder as the GEM.EXE  (but last updated date for that file is probably not recent/so not that location).

Look under section:
Code:
[ C:\GAMES\sierra\gpl\gplc67.exe ]

Disabled is 0,   enabled looks to be set to -1:
Code:
Option:60fpsv2newmod = -1

Or, delete the .ini (or rename it) & set it up again...

May be worth checking the .XML file is still in GEM\OPTIONS folder & re-copy there if needed.

Good luck!

Cheers,
Dave.

Thanks to you, Dave, I finally figured it out. The setting is +1 to activate 60fps. I got onto the server with six minutes remaining in qualifying, took my race setup and reduced the fuel level to two gallons, and turned a 1:08 to put me 10th overall. Not bad, I thought, for hands that wouldn't quit shaking. When the green box lit up, I hit it and was placed on the track --- with two gallons of fuel in the tank. I thought briefly about doing the first lap and coming back into the pit to fill up with the latest refill patch, but hit the red (retire) box instead, thinking I could start from the pits. You can guess how well that worked, right? Sigh.

Kids, don't do what I did or, like me, you'll be credited with a DNS for your next race.

Well, managed to ruin my own race again with an unforced error while completely on my own, and then made several poor decisions about when to shift/r and ended up delaying myself by at least double the amount of time I needed to.

I must say though, some very courteous driving out on track. Nice to see.

Pity we had an accident at the Loop with Dufossa.
I think we both could have a fun race with Phil.

When Phil overtook me at the Loop, I had to leave my usual way and go to the outside of the track but then I had no other choice to go back to the apex else I would have finish my race on the straw bales.
Maybe Dufossa could have wait the next lap where it could have been easy to overtake with the Lotus.

The two leaders Ricardo and Dulima with a Lotus were too fast (in season 37 they won 1 and 2 races among the Works !) and I just hoped to finish 3rd but Phil with a BRM was incredibly fast.
Grats to the podium.

And a big thanks to all overlapped drivers, they were perfect !

I am a gplBrasil administrator, I just signed up at works to see the password and pass it on to other pilots of ours, as there are some who have difficulties to see.

OK I understand now. Thank you.
These are pilots already registered ?

Quite an enjoyable outing;  good to be back!

I was convinced the field was just BRMs and Coopers.  However there are fewer Coopers in the results than expected,  I guess most of them I encountered were driven by Bernie!

Had a moment at the loop when my chair shifted under braking.  Just managed to hang on initially,  but then lost it on exit whilst trying to jolt it back into normal position.  My assortment of undersized wood offcuts layered behind my chair eventually let me down;  after the race I ordered a set of locking wheels from Amazon!

I've now watched the entire replay using Olaf's Replaydirector GEM+ option.  Great action!

Cheers,
Dave.

It good to be back to GPL and to the UKGPL family too!
I was really surprised to be not so slow as I expected after many years without driving such beast.
OK, the track is a well known one... the next one will be a different story: I tried it yesterday evening and I'm 12" slower than my PB of 2012  :(
See you all on track guys.
Cheers

Hi,

Does anyone know why when I try to race Ai at Monjuic Park69, only Denny Hulme appears and no other Ai !?  Anyone else get this issue ?

AH, thanks for the reply Paul on the forum.  I think I was trying get my 67car to run with the 69Extra cars and it has confused things.  It's just when I select normal 67 it will only give me 1967 season tracks.  I guess I need to work on my GEM+ setting up skills as I am not that familiar to using it until recently when I installed it.

Ok, I have just worked out using GEM to add Monjuic67 track to the 67 season, I think that's done the trick :)
