I think i will participate in these series, love the strategic play with the energy.

First round of the Cupra E series this Sunday! Practice server will be up tomorrow morning

Practise server is up for tomorrows race!

Its raceday for the first round of the new Cupra E series!

Note that the second race is shorter than the first race, the idea behind this is to let people try different battery management strategies, you could use the same engine map for the whole race or switch maps during the race to give you more power at certain points during the race!

Please, how do you switch maps during the race?   ???

Well that didn't go too well, only noticed after 4-5 laps that it was set to 20 laps rather than 20 minutes. Had to slow right down to get the energy usage back on track, then binned it.. Not sure I will bother with the rest of these races, rather boring touring round conserving energy.

Might want to check the server settings before setting it up... set for laps NOT minutes. 20Laps is just not possible!

If it was for 20mins, it might be ok, i ran middle power map.

But... economy runs are not what i'm interested. I'll give it a miss

Fast recharge, was the way to go, due to 20 Laps and not min

20 mins would be 12 laps, which was map 2 or 3. 15 mins would be 9 laps, which was umm 3 or 4
Birgir and I went to pit for a fast recharge. Still I don't like races with stops.
The server was set to laps from our previous race, Stephen must not have noticed  ::)

I have not entered the results, and won't unless Stephen asks.

What is a 'fast recharge'? what did it give you for the time spent in the pits?

Not seen it before, but recharge up to 26% (same as starting chrage) took 20-30 secs, ish
And then I ran map 5 with some map 3 to the end

Ran out of charge at end of lap12 just as I crossed the finishing line, so I just ran off track and left race. Didn’t stay for Race 2 as obviously I would have the same problem!

Sorry chaps my bad, guess neither myself of Stephen noticed the race length setting was wrong  ::)

I did sit on the server for 10 mins after I started it so if something was wrong someone could have said but after 4 of you were on for a bit I thought it was ok.

Had I noticed, I could have changed it to mins, but we didn't notice until we had done a few laps of the race.
Could have been ok, if everyone had gone to the pits instead of leaving. Hindsight is a wonderful.....

If I hadn't crashed I would probably made it to the finish, on map 1 I was using around 1% energy per lap. Matt & Birger would probably have caught me though as I could only do laps around 1.45 on that setting. I will give it another go at the next race, but these are not the most exciting things to drive, especially tootling around 12s a lap slower than they are capable of.

it was my fault really as I initially set the server up, Picnic was just doing the server reset as I wasn't around last night. It will be set for 20 and 15 mins at the next round so we can turn the wick up and get some faster laps in!

Hi phspok, scrubbing the results from this race sounds like the best option
