Title: UKGPL Season 38 (Spring 2021) 1955 Grand Prix - Privateers - Valentino - Feb 14 Post by: Phil Thornton on February 10, 2021, 07:32:03 PM +0000 Season 38 – 1955 Grand Prix – Round 3 – Privateers - Valentino
This race announcement is for the PRIVATEERS. The third race in the 1955 Grand Prix series finds us at Parco del Valentino Torino in Italy. Parco del Valentino (also known as Valentino Park) is a popular public park in Turin. It is located along the west bank of the Po river. Several races were held here between 1935 and 1955, it is the 1955 layout that we will be using for this race. This is a very challenging circuit with virtually no run-off areas, plenty of undulations and blind corners. Discretion is the better part of valour for this track. Please note: We are using the v3 version of this track. It is the final and best version with a new layout, new objects and new textures. Ginetto also moved the Start/Finish line to the correct place according to pictures from the real race in 1955. We are NOT using the older version which has a track directory called turin55.
Please restrict chat to emergency messages only including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line. feeling i was getting a bit close to the back of bernie so lightly dabbed the brakes and went straight into a hay bale. :'( time for a coffee and an early bath, was actually hoping to do well tonight... Doh! Back in the olden days, a driver was permitted to push his car across the finish line, if unaided. It's a cruel Sim that won't let me do that! Perfect car, superb track, only a mile or 2 to run - benzina deficient. Grumble . . . ! >:(

For the next race the available tokens will be as declared in the table below (the table will also appear in the next race announcement). The calculated values are automated but selecting the cars is a manual process so please check your tokens to make sure I haven't made a silly error.
