Of course - except my mechanics have given them a new paint job so the Honda looks more like an Eagle & the BRM very closely resembles to Cooper.

Well I was -50 once, but I have not raced GPL in 6 years with only a handful of rf2 races one year ago between that. But absent a "RUSTY" class, I guess I'm WORKS lol. I'm only in it for the GPL miles and the chequered thing at the end anyways, any of the Magnificent Seven will do ;).

Love your GP format, looking forward to racing with you guys !

My engine went "pop" at quarter distance, just as I was getting relaxed a bit  :-[. My gearbox was maybe too aggressive but I was trying to nurse the V12, engine was at 86°C when it broke so not sure if it's a random blowup or not. Either way, sorry I couldn't bring points for the team...

Grats Raoni keyboard legend  :notworthy: and all finishers including my team mates  !

My shortest race of all the races I have run in my life as a simer (more than 20 years). I let out the clutch and smoke appeared in my mirrors, yet I took it all the way to Curva Grande cursing >:(. Such a shame.
Thanks for organising this.
PS: the download link on the replay doesn't work for me.

Please don't argue on the forums, it is very easy to post a comment in the heat of the moment that you may regret later. Take time to calm down and compose yourselves. Comments posted immediately after a race when the adrenaline is pumping (and if it isn't why bother racing if it doesn't stimulate you) are rarely thought through and measured.

This is why we have the court (https://www.ukgpl.com/index.php/moderating/court) system. It allows incidents to be moderated calmly and fairly so we all learn, not just the drivers involved.

So if having looked at the replay, you think there is something the moderators should look at, please raise an incident report.

I wouldn't want to lose either of you from the league, you are both a similar pace to me and I enjoy the challenge of racing against you.

Regards

Phil

Wow, this was one hell of a race! I didn't have time to qualify and joined the qualifying session with about 20 seconds remaining which gave me just about enough time to do an installation lap on race fuel, without that the opening lap might have gone horribly wrong... But the opposite was the case, I made up several positions and kept everything clean. In the following laps I then slowly made further progress through the field. At one point I almost lost it at Parabolica when I braked on the grass, but I just managed to catch the car, though after exiting the corner, Pribluda indicated that Clive somehow went off at the same corner, did that have anything to do with me? :(
After an off at Parabolica in the first 10 laps, I then kept it steady and was soon up into P3 with Raoni and Alain ahead who had very similar pace to me. The rest of the race then was nothing but focussing on my driving really, at one point I caught up to Alain and made a clean pass on the backstraight, and then 5 seconds separated me and Raoni. I cut down the gap by about a tenth or two per lap, but before I could catch up, he overcooked it at Parabolica and had an off which put a gap of 11 seconds between us. He didn't damage his car in the process, and so the gap stayed about the same for the next 15 laps, the keyboard legend always kept me honest and then with 10 laps to go, I actually made that mistake which put me 3 seconds behind that damn magician (I've seen your driving on your YouTube channel, but how in the world do you actually drive with a keyboard??!!?!?).
In the last 10 laps I then pushed as hard as I could and eventually got close, but didn't quite get it in the end, one more lap would have perhaps done the job, but after one of the most fun races in my racing history, Raoni took the victory by 0.81 seconds after a 56 lap race! Well deserved Raoni mate, more of that in the future please. ;) Also congrats to Alain for third and to all other finishers, well done! :)

What a crazy race! I felt like going from hero to zero and vice-versa multiple times.
Qualy was very tough, with many drivers with a similar pace. In my last attempt I could set a low 1:29 which gave me pole position, something important because I knew I would lose at least 2 or 3 places at the start.

Better than expected, I only lost a place to Axel at the start. The first laps were very conservative. Everyone still being very careful trying towarm up the tires, find a pace and staying on the track. For 1 or 2 times I got very close to Axel, but was afraid of trying an overtake approaching Parabolica, so I decided to calm down and stay behind him, with Alain following me.

I thought everything had gone down the drain when Axel crashed at Curva Grande and then his car collected mine. That was a big hit but - unbelievably - I could rejoin the track without losing too much time. Alain passed us and opened a gap of about 6 seconds. I noticed my car had some slight damage because it became a little bit harder to control it when braking to Parabolica and Lesmo, but at least the top speed seemed to be unaffected.

In a bunch of laps I managed to close the gap to Alain, who didn't offer any resistance and then I could take the lead. At this point of the race, I was already watching Lasse's quick progress, who was constantly being a couple of tenths faster than me, so I knew that I would have to push my pace trying to delay the maximum possible his challenge.

Everything seemed to be working fine when I made a mistake at Parabolica. Somehow I lost my concentration, braked a little bit late and went wide, going off the track and spinning. After rejoining, I was already 10 or 11 seconds behind him. With the lead gone from my hands, I had to focus on getting my concentration back and recovering my pace to keep 2nd place safe. But then the unexpected happened. Lasse also went off the track at Parabolica. That was enough for me to take 1st place back and with a gap of about 3-4 seconds with some 10 laps to go.

After that, what I had was an amazing final stage of the race! Like before, he started pushing hard and gaining some tenths of second every lap. His pressure forced me to push my car to the limit as well without any margin for a little mistake. There was a little bit of drama in the final lap when we had to overtake Rainier at Lesmos, but he was a gentleman went out of the racing line and got past him safe.
Checkered flag with only 0,8s of a gap. I get the feeling that if we had 1 or 2 more laps, I would have much trouble to win this one. But this time luck seemed to be by my side.

Congrats to all finishers and a special thanks to Lasse for the great fun we had in the final laps. These long GP races bring GPL experience to a whole different level. Looking forward to the next one!

I've just come out of a period when I had a lot of problems with the freeze.
I don't have any personal problems with enrique, i'm just angry because of the accident.
I don't want enrique to withdraw from ukgpl, I sent him a private message.
I would be obliged to withdraw as well, otherwise the withdrawal of enrique could be interpreted as my fault.
I sincerely hope that everything will return to normal, I am not looking for war, on the contrary, I love this league and all the people.

there is something that has me a little annoying, and that is why I feel some iconformity with my presence in this league.
I know that I have very personal problems with someone who is in this league, and I think that has generated annoyances in some of the corridors against me.
I just repeat, I run for fun and take my time off in what I like, which is the GPL, but I run in some league and I say it again, for fun,
I'm not looking for fights, conflicts, and bad blood, I'm just looking for COMPETITION "if it goes well and I win, perfect, but if not, also perfect.
I know I make mistakes and sometimes I don't see or feel them, and because of my excessive work, sometimes I couldn't check my replay, and I apologize for that.
I do not want anyone to retire due to my accidents or my failures, in this simmer it is something that cannot be avoided.
I just want you to know that I am human and as such I make mistakes, and that sometimes cannot be avoided ...
I think this season is fine for me. And you have nothing to do with phillipe, only that instead of having fun, I connect to the server with prevention and thus you cannot enjoy a race.
I repeat, it is not necessary for you to retire, Phillipe, I do, because I no longer find that "feeling" in this league that I sometimes found
I hold up. I retire from all races, except mod 55
I think it is in the only mod, that nobody goes against me, and I can enjoy.

It was regrettable that comments were exchanged on the forum immediately after the incident when emotions are high. The court system exists to deal with incidents such as this and avoid heated arguments. We all race GPL for fun and we all understand how frustrating it is to not finish a race for whatever reason. Philippe has always driven fairly and with consideration and I hope that Enrique re-considers his decision to quit all UKGPL races ( except the 1955 series) as he has shown himself to be a gentleman driver
  thanks moderators.
I accept the blame for the incident, I thought we could both turn in that curve, Phillipe on the outside and I on the inside, but it did not happen, and unfortunately there was an accident which mr, Girard was forced to leave the race, and as a consequence of it enter the pits, and leave the race as well.
It is true there was an exchange of words internally between mr, girad and me, and as the days went by, we realized that we had exceeded in the way of expressing our anger. and we apologize to each other.
The fact that I withdraw from all UKGPL races except mod 55, rather transcends fatigue and a bit of sadness when noticing that 3 or 4 drivers who race with me, do not like my presence in this league, and that makes That my careers have a taste of defense rather than fun, forcing me to spend the rest of the day and the next day, annoying and in itself that affects my health a bit.
I am already a man approaching 60 years of age and strong emotions are no longer very convenient for my health.
That is why I stopped running, at least for this season all the championships (except mod 55) so as to take a little air and be able to rest and that we all reconsider, our way of thinking towards other runners, that the only thing they are looking for It is having fun (like me) and not passing any other runner, to win titles and championships.
it's nothing personal against phillipe, on the contrary, we've talked and ended up being good friends, (virtual).
thanks to this extraordinary organization for having welcomed me and see you next season, let's see if maybe I can run with less anxiety
  I love you guys.

We all sincerely hope that you join us again next season Enrique and I am pleased to hear that Phillippe and you have made peace ;) I have enjoyed racing against you in many different cars and you have always been a fair driver.

You might be interested to know that if you are approaching 60 years of age, then you are probably one of the youngsters at UKGPL. Many of us are approaching (or beyond ) 70 and we race these cars because we can remember seeing them in real life when we were young.

Well, we try to remember those days, but sometimes our old brains are a little foggy  ;D

You have no reason to quit UKGPL races,

- because you are too young

- and then for that
