Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

What's the lap time around in this car?

I am in the 1.15s so far, but from past experience with the Corvette the main problem will be keeping some tyres on it.

Yep, so far I am only just faster than I was in the Alfa! And the tires are always toast in this thing....

Understeery beast? Hold my beer...

Easier to drive than the '76 beasties, at least that's my experience.

Best I've managed is a low 1:19 in race trim.

Saw Hristos car make some strange shapes in the mirror, than he was in the pit, and all the other cars were frozen, so I guess a disco for me, first in a long long time.....Shame, as that one was brewing up nicely.....

Same here & with Clive, but Matt, Erling & Chris are still racing.

As so many got booted we will call this a fun race and rerun next Monday night.

Would the full circuit be an option for a change? that short track is masochism with these.

I want to stick with only the tracks used in the "real" GTL Cup Competition.

I quite enjoyed this actually! Requires such a delicate touch.

As for the race, had a nice scrap with Daz and Geoffers wasn't far behind either, but then similar thing to what happened in that Montlhery race, everyone froze, but I didn't get disconnected. I thought no point driving anymore, so pressed escape, only to find out that I was still on the server and could see half of the grid still going.

Glad about the re-run.

Odd to note that Tony finished the race. When I was in the lobby after discoing chatting with Clive, it was only showing 3 people still on the server, Matt, Ering & Chris.  ???

Really strange.  First all the aliens froze and I tiptoed past.  Pit board still showed me 4th, and just after I spotted Geoffers up ahead, so seemed like it had fixed itself.  However, they all froze again and disco'ed shortly after.   With an ever changing gap to the car behind, it seemed I wasn't alone, and Clive was the only other disco message in the time right after the aliens departure.  Also spotted glimpses of driver tags here and there, when I turned these on.  So didn't dare disconnect myself - figured Tony would call it if he wanted to abort and restart the race.

In the replay, I can see the alien cars in the first freeze, while only their sound is present the 2nd time - ghost cars!  :o

After the aliens had been booted, with a comfy and growing gap to the car behind, I could drive relaxed and focus on avoiding stupid mistakes and cut warnings.  Not the most exiting race however, and while winning was nice, it did feel quite phony.

I was still getting comfortable with my new wheel, so was not expecting to be super quick ( especially as I have never been super quick lol!) so was content to be at the back of the grid and run a conservative race, aiming simply to get some laps under my belt and reach the finish.

Christian made a mistake early in the race and dropped back a little leaving me chasing Tony in our own dice.
Tony and I were enjoying a good battle and just about evenly matched on lap pace, when exiting the hairpin through the Esses Tony's car suddenly appeared to turn 90 degrees to the track but continue moving forward but only slightly slower !!???....so I ran into him in order to alert him to his unconventional behaviour. It just seemed the gentlemanly thing to do  ::)

Having carefully and considerately pushed sideways Tony out of the way, I continued and for the next lap I was passing frozen cars....was it my connection that was lost and was I about to be disco'd??? or was it a mass freeze brought on by the over abundance of alien DNA in such a small area of Southern Germany? I passed Hristo who appeared to have made a pit stop and within a lap I was up to 3rd place  :o, which was obviously wrong.

I was fully expecting that a restart would be called and hit the ESC key, but it appears that there were others who also avoided the gremlins and continued. No worries if we run the race again, it is all good practice  ;)
