had some problems in the race

When the race started I couldn't see  p1 and p2 and then on the 2nd lap I think cee jay suddenly appeared coming back on track, then all was ok for a lap or two , then Ruskus's car kept appearing on some corners not knowing if it was lag or it was ruskus I tried to avoid to be on the safe side which led to some off's and it got to a point where it was appearing on every corner ??? on  the track  so I left sorry all

I was looking forward to this one as well   :(

Was driving around in 5th which was about right. Everyone in front of me was quicker and people behind slower....Hmmm obvious when you think of it it :D Then engine gave way :( Nevermind, it was fun while it lasted :)

Another blown up engine here... No idea what happened, I wasn't pushing too hard.

Enjoyed it immensely though, GT drivers were really good tonight on such a tough track to get past us NGT's.

 >:( VERY unamused, I installed the finish line fix but the game put me 7th behind flybri and Paul even though I'd past them, good battles btw  ;D , then to add insult to injury I had to do a splash and dash and the damn thing quit me out of the race!!!
What a waste of time, stupid program  >:( Gonna play BF2142 and knife some mofo in the head :death:

Can someone check to see whether I did lose a lap or not?

wondered what happened to you Pops  ??? ...i thought you just quit in disgust cos i caught you so quickly  ;D ;)

I managed to screw my own race by throwing it into the kitty litter under heavy braking at two key moments in the race.  ::)
First time was when Simon pitted, i saw it so decided to try and really push for a couple of laps, but outbraked myself and lost 20 seconds  >:( LOL, shark has some magic ability to make me throw my car off even when he's not pestering my rear end on track :'(

After my pitstop with 30 mins remaining, i pushed like a loon for lap after lap and closed first on Bernie Lomax and got past and then PRibeiro. I was catching PR at a rate of knots and closed right up to 0.2 seconds after several laps of hard chasing, thinking i would be able to either take him or force him into a mistake in the dying minutes of the race....wrong  :(, i locked it up again on one of those horrible left handers and lost another 15 seconds ::)...battle over :(

Brought it home a reasonable 4th, but should have been a podium finish but for my two errors that cost me 35 seconds  :'(

Dont like this track at all, that race felt like it went on for ever. Dull layout. The GT guys looked like they was having a cracking race though, and all were exemplary when lapping  8)...well done to the podium guys.

Odd race for me, was the fastest car on track for most of the race, but still only finished 2nd. Claus somehow managed to pit ~35s faster than me. Sorry for scaring you once PaulW, otherwise i had no problems lapping cars. :-)
So the third time in a row I finish 2nd leaves me with 2nd place in the championship. Guess i should be happy with that considering the quality of the opposition, but for some reason I'm not. ;-)

Grats again Claus and LEUVEN.

See you in....wherever we're racing next. :-P

Qually went quite well. I was in 2nd place at the beginning, so I turned on the telly thinking I wouldn't improve my time anyway. When I checked the screen again, I was in 4th ;D.

I can't really remember what happened during the race, all I know is that I had to push the whole nine yards ;D.

I had a funny moment while lapping Jonzo, as I wanted to pass him right, he went right, I tried left, he went left, so I tried right again and I got by ;D. Lost a place with that, but it was a fun way to lose it :D.

A few moment later I saw Simon and Garf....Ribeiro going nose to ass, which must have been a good race, as we were around 40 minutes in it..

I was on 100L at the beginning, and just wanted to see how far I could go with it. With 35 minutes to go I had to go in, but I added another 100L at the stop ::), so I had 20L at the end :-X.

I had battles with Radius the whole race, so I had to keep going.

Sorry PaulW, dunno what happened, I think muscommunication, as I thought you knew I was going to overtake on the inside :-\

Grats to Martin for his amazing Q-time, CJ for winning the race, and Leuven for winning NGT

I am so hot now after the race, utterly shattered. Was really hard work!

Qually I just couldn't find much pace despite practicing a fair bit today and trying all sorts of setups etc.

Race started well, both myself and Priberio in our M3s passed TrueTom early on and we proceeded to have a close battle for the best part of 45 minutes until the pit stops. I never once went for an overtake maneover on him, but we were separated by 0.5-1.0 for that whole time. Really had to concentrate hard and when the GTs came to lap us after only 20 minutes!!! I couldn't believe it. Was some really tough work letting a gaggle of fighting GTs through whilst still fighting with Priberio and not hit any one. Was great driving by all.

Priberio pitted one lap before me and after my pit stop I was some 15 - 20 seconds ahead I think. I had taken full fuel to start the race and soft fronts with mediums rears for the heavy fuel load. I knew once I had done my pit stop I would be faster, choosing to change to soft-softs and with not nearly as much fuel sure enough my pace picked up straight away.

With a commanding lead for 2nd position in class a long way behind my team mate Leuven, my pedals then decided that in one of the hairpins they would accelerate whilst I broke. I was heartbroken. Went ploughing into the gravel and I thought I would never get out of the sand. Took me and eternity of clutch-rev-clutch-rev-clutch-rev (button for clutch) to get out and by that time TT and Priberio had sailed by. Managed to get out at last about 4 seconds behind Priberio and clawed that back in just a few short laps. Still had lots of pace and it wasn't long before my post pit stop car was able to overtake him and not long afterwards Bernie.

Unfortunately TT had long gone into the distance. In the end I clawed him back very slowly down to 11 seconds and then on the last lap some trouble for him as I finished about 4 seconds behind.

Good result for the team in NGT, 1st and 3rd, but it was so close to 1/2. Going to give my pedals a stern talking to now!

Well done CJ, Martin and Jeff in GT. Incredible pace to lap the NGTs 4 times, simply unbelievable and obviously massive congratulations to Leuven on his win. Probably quite a boring race for you as you were head and shoulders faster than any other NGT tonight, but a win none-the-less.

yeah sorry about that, i know the time you mean, i was caught like a rabbit in the headlights cos i saw you barrelling up the left, so as i went to move right, another GT car was overtaking me on the right hand side too  :o....i just stayed dead centre of the track and dared not deviate whilst 3-4 GT's all screamed past me, expecting to feel a heavy thump any moment, but miraculously you all went past without a problem.

No worries at all Martin- the GT's were indeed great passing tonight. Bit of a dull race for me as I was lapping on my own for a fair while. Miscalculated fuel by 1 bloody lap too and had to pit with 2 laps to go for a quick drink :sweatdrop:

Good fun as ever but I'm starting to get a bit fed up with tootling along at the back, Spa aside. I can't put the time in I used to and it's really showing on the track. That said, there is great quality driving resulting in great quality racing right through the full field come race time now

Anyone who thinks they lost a lap because of the finish line bug (even with the fix installed), file an incident report as normal - preferably with an indication of which lap you lost, which hopefully we can identify from the lap chart - and we'll look into it and give any missing laps back.

I was scared $...less - shortshifting and trying to get highspeed turns in. Finished with 1,8 l fuel on board. One more lap...  ;D

After the engine failure during Mondays Sim-Challenge race I decided to go for a conservative setup, and all through the race I short shifted to make sure I finished so as not to blow the engine up.
I lost some time to Truetom I think in the pitstops as I was just drinking my glass of water as the pit crew said "we can't start fueling until you cut your engine" or something along those lines, ;D
I also put in an extra 25+ L of fuel too. ::) bringing me out only about 11 or 12 seconds in front of the fast pitting Truetom. :o
I thankfully didn't need to get the hammer down though as I got up to speed quickly and cruised home. :sweatdrop:

There was a stonking pace throughout the GT's so to win that must have been tough. 8)

Congrats CeeJay
Well done to Sharks Ruskus and Shark, a pretty good points haul today. :thumbup2:.
but Unlucky Jon twice in a week eh!  :'(

ahhhhhhhh what a race! Didnt have much time to praccy and had braking problems into hairpins...TWICE!!!. I couldn't brake as late as i wanted not earlier than usual as fast GT guys all around me! :D

Had loooooooooooooong battle with Rus almost whole race...im so sick of seeing blue in front and at back of me!!!  ;D My strat was to pit 3 or 4 laps earlier than the rest and use this time to set some nice quali times while my adversaries were on their worn rubber! Boy was i surprised, to come out back into the exact same position i was in before i pitted!!! lol ...but obviously i was a lap down and immediately knew my strat was spoiled :( I got blues to let Jon pass and although i was reluctant it was only correct to do so.

So let him by at the hairpin and couldnt set my fast times as i couldnt pass him again :(:( After all stops me and Rus contined the battle and i was laughing so hard watching him muck up with the backmarkers and i just picked my way through  ;) :D

The NGT's were great letting GT's pass and the standard of driving was exceptional!!!

Highlight of my race: Rus coming up to lap MJ...im right behind Rus going thru that medium quick left hander...Rus goes left (undecided) i do a Hakinnen (@ Spa) and took the little space to the right of MJ....BRILLIANT!! Then i heard a little girlie scream of fear which i suppose was from MJ hahaha.....but next corner i did a Pizzonia!!! lol  ;D

Great racing all!!!!!

So this was my first race after a long while, guess my setup wasn't good enough, cause everybody was driving away from me, after a few laps. The first few laps went quit good, could take over nr 17 and 16, but then the car lost its grip. guess poor tyre choice. anyways i managed to finish the race. with last to 2 laps driving around the track leaving a nice smoketrail. decided to slow down the pace to get to the finish line.

looking forward to the next race.

Has setup for a flexible strategy, had a lap 1 off couldn't get heat fast enuff in the tires so failed to slow car down and dropped to 6th, quickly got up to 5th and settled in behind the Shark-sandwich.
Eventually got by them after some small mistakes on their part, except Ruskus who I had to overtake down mainstrait,  he was very fair and kept his normal line. That was around lap 19 and I could see Martin had been fast out of the box, he alrdy had build a 14s lead, but I was free now to pick up some more speed, not much but I got it down to 12s before he pitted. Made my fastest lap on lap 29 and tires felt good still so I decided to stay on them for the rest of the race when I pitted a few laps later, didn't need much fuel so was a fast stop.
Got out just ahead of some battling NGTs and figured I better stay inside down towards T1, couldn't estimate how fast they were closing, but no braking grip on the inside, so had a small trip into the graveltrap. lead was 23-24s then after my outlap and still 17 laps to go, I just kept pushing and could keep that gap until tires started to come off maybe 10 laps before the end, then I began to loose a sec a lap but was still plenty to safely get the car home.

Intense racing in the first half and good job by the NGTs, letting us figthing GTs by  8)
