Struggling with the uphill essess. Suspension is very bouncy, and sometimes not yet stabilized for the next corner. Switching car is not a options, Will remain with the Mustang also for thé last race ;D Title: Re: RRE Season 8 (2021) DTM '92 - Bathurst - May 27 Post by: Geoffers on May 26, 2021, 09:14:29 PM +0100 Try stiffer dampers ???.
I will be in the Mustang too for this race (your suggestion Birger, so I will blame you if it goes wrong :D). Not really faring much better with it to be honest, like you struggling with the last uphill section, car does not like those crests, understeer & oversteer at the same time!!!!!! Good on the straights though. Title: Re: RRE Season 8 (2021) DTM '92 - Bathurst - May 27 Post by: BiriBiri on May 27, 2021, 05:25:59 PM +0100 Try stiffer dampers ???. I know ;D but searching for the right balance) too stiff --> oversteer, too soft --> bouncy, understeer only on the climb I will be in the Mustang too for this race (your suggestion Birger, so I will blame you if it goes wrong :D). Not really faring much better with it to be honest, like you struggling with the last uphill section, car does not like those crests, understeer & oversteer at the same time!!!!!! Good on the straights though. >:D ;D good to hear, indeed very good on the straights Title: Re: RRE Season 8 (2021) DTM '92 - Bathurst - May 27 Post by: phspok on May 27, 2021, 07:43:54 PM +0100 Server seems to be up, but I get "internal error" if I try to connect to it

Still pleased to have finished a race last night, ran on a monitor ( 3840x1440 @ 144Hz so still a high GFX demand ) and with replays turned off. Can' race Sunday so I'll try the VR again next Thursday with the replays off. Congratulations to the championship podium sitters and to all who provided some good entertainment and fair racing during the season. Nice to see some bigger grids to, hope this continues for whatever comes next. I've recently started from getting that too. Think I went to options, didn't change anything, went to attach to server and it worked. Most weird.Title: Re: RRE Season 8 (2021) DTM '92 - Bathurst - May 27 Post by: phspok on May 28, 2021, 11:12:15 AM +0100 So, I went to settings and selected "Do not use an RD gateway server"
and so far it is working Title: Re: RRE Season 8 (2021) DTM '92 - Bathurst - May 27 Post by: Geoffers on May 28, 2021, 11:57:26 AM +0100 Fun but tough race in the Mustang. Great on the bottom half of the track but really sketchy over the mountain, needed to be very restrained otherwise it will bite you.
Could not match Massimo's pace & he quickly disappeared into the distance. I was expecting a challenge from Leonardo but he retired early so had Pete & Birger chasing me hard for the first part of the race. Birger got through into 3rd & was pretty much matching my pace so I could not relax. Second half of the race I made several small mistakes & almost lost it completely with a big oversteery moment exiting Hell Corner. This allowed Birger to close right up but I just succeeded in keeping it all together over the last couple of laps to bring it home in 2nd. Congrats to Massimo on a comfortable win & to Birger on an excellent 3rd place.  Title: Re: RRE Season 8 (2021) DTM '92 - Bathurst - May 27 Post by: BillThomas on May 28, 2021, 01:57:00 PM +0100 Thanks Matt for the Series and congratulations to Series Podium Drivers. First time, in RRE and GTL, that I have finished a race here for years - too heavy on throttle! Be sorry to retire my faithful Beemer for a while! ;)
The P1 cars have terrible visibility problems sat low down behind those big front wheel arches. I have great problems seeing the corners. ??? ::) Title: Re: RRE Season 8 (2021) DTM '92 - Bathurst - May 27 Post by: BiriBiri on May 28, 2021, 02:29:02 PM +0100 Great race from my side, didn't expect third place with such a grid. Second time at Bathurst after the GT3 race. Didn't know this track before entering simracing, but really love this track.
Qualified P5, but didn't had the best start, but was lucky in T1, the 3 cars in front of me pushed wide (Leonardo, Toni and someone else) and i could easily overtake them due to a better exit, so moved towards P4. First uphill section with cold tires, so i couldn't go full throttle. I was expecting a challenge from Leonardo but he retired early so had Pete & Birger chasing me hard Leonardo was watching for a move i think, in T5/6. He went to soon on the throttle and banged against the wall, facing the wrong direction and needed to wait until all cars where passed. For the first 10min i followed Pete, every lap i gave Pete 1.5sec in the uphill section but closed that down in the downhill and on the straights. Slightly Toni was catching us but when he was at 1sec, i made a move on Pete. Using the speed of the Mustang i placed myself next to Pete on Mountain Straight going in to Griffins bent and made the overtake (i think Pete backed off ;)). Afterwards i pulled slightly away from Pete and Toni on the straights. And surprisingly i remained my gap of 7sec towards P2 (Geoff), until i saw him at the exit of Hell Corner on the opposite side from the racing line ;D. Gap was 3sec but couldn't close it down. Congrats Massimo and Geoff!!! Fun but tough race in the Mustang. Great on the bottom half of the track but really sketchy over the mountain, needed to be very restrained otherwise it will bite you. Indeed, but from Suzuka onwards i'm mastering the car. Even at the second crest of Conrad Straight i had trouble to remain straight ;D.Nice to see some bigger grids to, hope this continues for whatever comes next. Indeed, happy to see 10+ grids. if this remains it will also attract more people towards SROUK (from the league post from 3sector forum) My little brother is also again more intrested in simracing "F1 game". But i forced him to download RRE ;D, raced together in some Rookie servers, but for now he is still racing with a controller. So he is now looking for a race wheel and peddals. After that i hope he will join us. I had also tried the mustung! on the flying lap it was faster than bmw but on the pace it wore the tires a little too much .. so I chose a car with a slower but constant pace .. congratulations to the champion Geoff !!
