Back to the TVR again. No idea how fast I can go compared to the M3 I drove on Sunday. Track should suit the TVR, but probably easier to throw into the kitty litter in comparison too with it's excitable handling.  :o

I think that was one of those races where you need to have the windows down and the elbows out.

The result doesn't show it but that was the best I've driven for *ages* ;D

I was almost 2s faster during the race than in the Endurance race on Sunday, unfortunately, like Sunday I managed to blow the engine, this time on the last lap :D however it was getting an extreme amount of abuse while I tried to catch Flybri so I got what I deserved really  :wetfish:

Thanks to Mo for the setup, it made a massive difference. You are a gent sir! :euro:

That race was tough from qually to finish :o.

In my first outlap I immediatly did my PB with the +50 Kg RSR, so I was happy with that. But as usual, CJ took my pole away from me ;D. With 5 minutes to go, I wanted to try 1 more time. And luckily for me, it was one of those laps where everything falls into place. Luck was on my side as I didn't make a single error and I could just get into the 1:29ers.

The beginning of the race was good for me, I could get a 2,5s lead in around 15 minutes. But after that the lead didn't get bigger, it slowly started to get smaller. With 15 minutes to go, CJ was 0,5s behind me, and I was stuggling. I was looking more in my mirrors than my front windscreen :D. At one point he was faster on the straight and he got me at the chicane, but I could take a different line and aim at his inside at the 2nd part of the chicane and take 1st back.
With 10 minutes to go my fronts were shot to hell again. I really have to think about meds allround, as I can't get the softs to last upfront.
I was lucky I put some spare fuel in, as racepace was higher than expected.

Bad luck again Pops. After Vertislow, Vertimo, I guess it's more a Verti-Blow

Fantastic lap, with 50kilos too. :notworthy:

I had a bit of a rush to get ready for the race, so it must have been why I couldn't find my pace.

It was extremely close in qually with so many drivers with times that would have been equal if the timing was only capable of tenths or even thousandths of a second.  :o

Had some big battles from the off and ended up having an off and losing the front of the car, damaging the suspension, steering etc.
So when I pitted I took new tyres and didn't bother with repairing anythin but the splitter as it would have put me 2 or 3 laps down at best.

I think I was pretty much last when I exited the pits, but gain about 6 places in the end due to other peoples attrition in one form or another.

Well done Ruskus..... again..... and CJ too..podiums . ;)

Phewee, that was a belter.  8)

Tried a new setup just before the race and it helped out greatly during the race proper, with good even temps all round, unlike my enduro setup that cooked the rears after 35-40 mins.
Fought my way up from a lousy 20th to finish a fine 10th in the end after some cracking battles along the way. I never got a moments rest with either a car just in front to chase or one chasing me hard  :sweatdrop:
My fronts started to go off big time just as i was closing down Aagramn with about 5 minutes to go, and i ended up falling back a little into the clutches of a charging K Dixon?, but then had the brainwave to shift my brake balance to the rear and it worked a treat to help fend him off and re-open a gap until the finish line  :fencing:

This masters sprint is so flipping tough, congrats to the podium guys. :punk:

My race didn't went that bad, but I didn't practise a lot so didn't have a real steady pace. But managed to keep up for a while, made a mistake at the chicane. Then got a bump at the hairpin and after that the race just went downhill for me :)

At the end of the race, I got one wheel on the grass and the car launched itself to the other side, like a projectile to the wall. Lost a wheel and front bumper with that. Engine didn't start so after escape I had the retirement reason: 'accident'. Never seen that one before

Sorry for the tiny tap Minton, luckily you kept it in control, felt bad for ya when I saw you crashing later :o

Was a fun battle at the end, I really thought I was going to get you on the last lap but I closed up to much on the chicane and had to drop back

I made the mistake of not bothering to practice for this one, threw the setup together with an hour to go and just hoped for the best, I'll spend a bit more time on the next one :)

Was another cracking race, but I made so many mistakes! Well out of touch with the 360 so I need to practice during the week next time - and I will.

I did a bit of a Webber in qualifying and got higher than I rightly deserved, so I had to fend of a train of cars behind until my first major off. Sorry for the "Trulli effect" behind me!

Trying too hard to keep up - bringing my spin tally to about 5 or 6 :(

At one point I reclaimed position (5th?) and promptly lost it at the chicane about 20 seconds later!

About these awards... can we have a "most spins per race" award too please :)

Happy I got 3rd fastest lap as I know I have no chance at the mo to get near Ruskus or CJ who have consistently amazing pace everywhere! But shame I drove like a decappitated snowman.

Bad race for me, qualified 23 couldnt match the times i was getting in practice server last night.

Big sorry to Osie who ran wide due to me rejoining the track, sorry i did look but couldnt get a full view as i looked back. Also sorry to bigG who i tapped from behind causing him to spin. All this in one lap! i was well behaved after that!!

bad luck pops, you must have been thrashing your car cause 1 minute i had a decent lead on you and next you had it down to almost a second.

Ah well, looking forward to monza

Started 14th and had great fights throughout the race, the start with Aargram in the M3  :) and then a race long duel with Pedro.  Very fair to i must say dont think we touched once. ;D

Martin was battling us both at one stage but was definetly faster and manged to put a good move on me down into the hairpin.

fairly pleased with 7th at the end.  :whistling:

congrats to Ruskus and CJ  :alien: :alien:

Was it just me or did anyone else see Ruskus's car frozen a few laps into the race that caused a bit of mayhem for the rest of the field? That's 2 Sprint races in a row that's happened as his car was frozen on the last corner at Zhuhai for a couple of laps in the GT Sprint. I wonder if we have a technical issue somewhere? What connection setting you using Jeff? Did you have a big stutters at the start? Maybe it was when the second server went to race session?

A dreadful race for me. The TVR was about 1 second slower (in my hands) than my pace in the M3 on Sunday and this resulted in 18th on the grid instead of what would have been 3rd or 4th if I'd taken the M3 (from my Sunday pace). Stunning pace from Jeff to get under 1:30 and take pole position.

After having the local panel beaters shape my car (presumably they don't like ugly ducklings (I was the only TVR )) the car let's say wasn't exactly "right on" and I was finding it hard to drive at any pace.

I let Pops pass me with about 10 minutes to go to see just how bad my pace was  :P ;) and it was bad. I decided to spin it out the last corner and into the pits ;) with 6 or 7 minutes to go, get the damage repaired and get some new soft tyres.

Surprise surprise when I came out being lapped by about 7th/8th places I was faster than them. I didn't want to unlap myself really cause I was not fighting for anything meaningful so just followed them to the end.

Grats to top 3 and Martin please don't go, you're just having a bad week at a circuit that maybe you don't get on with. Would be a shame to lose you.

I qualified 13th - well below my times from the practice session.

The race was one great battle. Fair battle I must admit. I have watched the reply just to see all those late apex overtaking maneuvers. Marvelous! I just wish my F360 was quicker on straights - possibly wrong rear wing setup again.

It's a pity I spun just 3 laps before race end and and lost my 10th position. I would probably loose it anyway as I miscalculated race pace and found myself with 0.6 liter of fuel on the beginning of last lap :D I'll never know if I would finish the race if it was not for the fuel spent on getting out of sand trap...

Martin wrote he drove like a newb. Damn! You've overtaken me anyway mate! ;D

Special thx to: Truetom, Martin, Locutos, Mark MC & Baracus for all the great tight racing we had!

Congratulations to the usual podium aliens :D

Doing NGT endurance on Sunday definitely paid off for me with a very consistent race pace. Couldn't match my offline 1.30 for qual but was pleased to get 3rd on the grid nonetheless. The first lap was rather unusual to say the least - Claus was holding me up for a change! I wish I could say that this continued, but as expected he eased away, chasing Ruskus, while I  slowly increased the gap back to Jan in 4th. This summed up the whole race really - the gaps in front and behind grew and grew until neither was likely to be overcome. In the end I finished with a healthy 20 sec lead, and although the Aliens ahead tripped up to give me a glimmer of hope in the last few laps, it wasn't to be. Overall, nice to get the podium but a shame to miss out on some of the fun further back.

Congrats to Ruskus & Claus - a different league as usual.

Yep, i saw that too, frightened the beejeebers out of me  :o when flying down through craners with a pack of cars. It was a frozen shark car alright. Only happened on one lap though.

Unlike Paul968, i wish it had been the sprint before the endurance, as my improved setup would have been more useful over the long distance race, and the endurance championship means more to me than the sprints now that there are more aliens present than a series of X-files :alien: ::)

What, again ???. I have it on ISDN. I can't understand why, as I have a very fast connection, which is always stable for me :-\.

I don't have any stutters. But at Zhuhai I was in the lead when it happened, and now as well. Might be due to other server I have no idea. Maybe start the servers at the same time, so any problems might occure during warm-up lap and not first racelap.

Not sure about the second server theory as the GT Sprint only had one didn't it? Or did an overflow one get started for Zhuhai?

Gawd knows, but it was you both races and both times early on and both times when you were leading. Probably another unfixable bug in the code I guess. Just bringing it up in case there is something we can do to fix it as you can imagine meeting stationary cars on the track is not good for the rest of the field.   :o :o

Great race, as thought Ruskus ran away in the start on his soft front, I had to wait a few laps before I got enough heat in my mediums to really start pushing so I had to focus more on Paul behind in his Porsche in the opening stage 8)

Midway I caught Ruskus as his tires started to drop off, but was next to impossible to do much about the GT3 with its acceleration out of corners, the 360 seems a bit more slidy and I had problems many places where it would slightly powerslide, even in 3rd gear corners if I put the hammer down too hard. I had spotted he was struggling with understeer in Old Hairpin and Coppice and lost speed there, so one lap I got close to him down Craner and just followed him closely till Coppice and managed to get up on the outside to the Esses but was a bit optimistic and I went in a bit deep and got wide again on the exit, that was the only chance I got. But good racing nevertheless, Jeffrey didn't crack, excellent drive there  :D

Even if I did start a reserve I don't think anyone has ever joined, certainly it has never gone to race on the overflow so I expect some other issue.

There was a moment with around 3 laps to go or so where cars dissapeared and warped/froze for like 3 secs and the placings were all jumbled...my team mates were howling on Teamspeak about this but it was restored to normal shortly after.

LOL, I got blue flags for practically the whole first half of the race. I'm sure it was some Legends Racing paid officials telling me to move over for the LR cars.  ;) :P

I seen Ruskus' frozen car twice, once at the Craner Curves and once just before going into the Foggarty Esses,
Maybe it's because he is so fast he keeps leaving the Team Shark skin behind.  ;D
