Title: UKGPL Season 38 (Spring 2021) 1967 F1 Sprint (Works) - Hockenheim - Jun 13 Post by: Rainier on June 09, 2021, 09:37:26 AM +0100 Season 38 – 1967 F1 WORKS – Round 10 – HOCKENHEIM
The 10th and last race in the 1967 Grand Prix series finds us in Baden-Württemberg (Germany). We will visit the very fast and well known circuit Hockenheimring.
Please restrict chat to emergency messages only including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line. Handicapping This serie is a joint championship with GPL Brazil so, please, read carefully these new and specific rules : Drivers will have a FREE CHOICE of chassis however, a bonus of 50 championship points will awarded to each driver that uses all 7 chassis. To qualify for bonus points, each chassis should be used at least once and no chassis can be used more than twice." A bonus point will be awarded for pole position. A bonus point will be awarded for the fastest lap. Any driver who uses the same chassis more than twice will not be awarded any bonus points. A driver must cross the start line in order to register the use of a chassis, participation in qualifying is not sufficient. It is not necessary to use 7 different chassis for the first 7 races. However at the end of the season, all 7 chassis must have been used to qualify for the bonus points. Points will be allocated from 1st to 12th as follows: 20, 15, 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Drivers must complete 75% race distance to score. All rounds count towards the driver's championship. For each race, only the top two drivers from each team count towards team championship. All rounds count towards team championship. Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 incidents do carry an extra 1 place penalty. Only reported incidents will be moderated. I qualified well. The only time this season. I started terribly. I was very slow off the line and I still hit Jonny. :( That bent my car. My steering was cocked 5-10 degrees to the left and it's braking was horrible. I hope the patch helped with disconnects. My car was still good and I managed to recover until near Bot....but a stupid mistake I put the wheel on the grass at the braking point and goodbye to the race. Think Killer Miele was the champion? I can only echo what Bob said before, I also wanted to try and fight for the title, but this season just wasn't meant to be for me, it all started when I mistook the date of the season start and found out about the season start the day after it happened, then missed several rounds because of a lack of time... But i promise to attack next time out. ;) Whenever I participated, I enjoyed the races for the most part, so I hope to see as many drivers as possible back here next season. :)

If you want to take chances against him, don't make a mistake!!!! :fencing:

I see my 50 points were awarded to me for the Bathurst race that I was discoed from at the end of qually. They haven't been reflected in my personal score in drivers Champ, and may also make the difference in Team Baarf winning the Teams championship, so could someone take a look at that pls.

I'm happy about that. I managed to give Bob just enough help, but it wasn't a very good season for me. I started physically weak. I was driving better at the end of the season but I still didn't do as well as I'd have liked. I was robbed of a podium opportunity at Bathurst. I was stupid at Reims. I wasn't happy about rerunning Hockenheim and didn't feel well that day. Bob did a nice job carrying the team. |
