Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

(5) Start procedure
*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

With it being Fathers Day this Sunday i wasnt sure how many people will be free so i chose this combo instead of trying out a new car, two of my favourites GT3 and Eastern Creek! the race will be a 30 minute sprint!

Mmm, I think I will give this a miss, too many cars that I don't have, not worth spending the money just for one race.

Arnt they free? Wasnt there a massive sale on AC recently?

 At least 3 of them are in different DLCs which I don't have.

No it's not, GT's get max 6 drivers on grid if you are lucky. It's been so almost 2 years but SRW is supremo and decide what we driving, my Gt's stay in garage for good...unless something mega-intresting comes up with these, like proper endurance.

I would love to do some endurance but unfortunately we dont get enough people here anymore to do it (a lot have switched to racing GT's at SRO instead  :(  )

Coming up soon will be the Skoda Octavia Cup Series!

I quite like the GT3s in AC but their lap times are all over the place ranging around two or three seconds a lap here.

A series of longer races would get my vote but they need some careful testing and BOP adjustments to make them work.....time consuming but straightforward to do in AC. I'm sure a couple of us could get them close enough if need be.

I think theres are optional cars to add this series if you insinst RWD car, BMW or Audi S1 4WD or something...

maybe the BMW M235i, i will see what sort of lap times it does compared to the Skoda

practice server is up, Eastern Creek is an exciting track for a 30 minute sprint race

Just done a few laps in the bimmer, it is a few seconds quicker per lap, there is an option in the entrylist.ini to add ballast, but i keep reading about an option to put a restrictor on the inlet manifold but no instructions about how to do it. anyone got any idea?

There are sliders for ballast and restrictor in the "drive" section of Content Manager so presumably hidden somewhere in the server settings for multi.

Unfortunately they're not as effective as one might imagine. With 100KGs of ballast and 50% restrictor for the M235i I am still a second quicker than the Skoda at Silverstone National. We could keep piling on the weight and restriction but it starts getting a bit silly. Also had a quick drive in the Audi S1 and it's 2 seconds slower than the Skoda.

I'll have a look at some other Kunos cars later to see if there's anything close to the Skoda but I'm probably looking at road cars  :scooter:

How about old Audi Quattro or M3...or just let Goldtop free choose. :)

Don't know enough about AC to offer any suggestions, so happy to go with whatever is decided, so long as it is not ridiculously difficult to drive.  ;)

Tried a few what I thought might be likely candidates but nothing within a second either side of the Skoda at Silverstone National. Had some good fun testing but I can't get excited about FWD cars in sims even though I drive them in real life. Have fun  :)
