Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Sorry all. I was too busy watching others, missed the braking point. I left as I was mortified  :death:

No need to apologize Matt. Watched the replay and saw it was entirely my fault. Sincere apologies to all. A shame to waste a good opportunity for an entertaining race for a number of drivers esp. Dimi.

No need to apologize guys. We all now these things happen without intention from us. I was not mad because of the contact but because i have been hit in turn 1 for a third straight race at Monza Junior :D This circuit is like cursed for me.

No chance to fight with Geoff though. He was too fast and he kept his tires well. Maybe we could have had a nice battle with Erling for P2. But maybe next time.

Announcing a new series of Monza Junior races....... ;)

48 laps on this track is close to torture in my book, but the race turned out better than I could have hoped for.  Picking a car wasn't easy.  Big Cobra was fastest, not surprisingly, by about a second compared to the TVR.  Wanted to use it, but when testing yesterday, there was hardly a place on track where the rear didn't try to overtake the front.  Surviving 48 laps without repeated incidents seemed unlikely, so in the end I opted for the TVR instead. With more practice, the difference between the two was only 0.3 sec, and even less with new pb in qual.

Very fortunate in missing the lap 1 turn 1 mayhem - or rather, the mayhem missed me  :)   Thus in an unexpected 2nd place.  Geoffers was soon gone, while I stretched the gap to the following cars over the early laps.  Fully expected DD to come charging past, once he had slogged his way through the field, but never quite happened. Gap went to 16 secs, then started dropping, getting down to 11 secs with some time lost by me, but then suddenly jumped to 20+secs, and shortly after to 30+ secs.

With this I started hoping to hold on to 2nd, as the gap was mostly holding if I didn't lose time by mistakes or passing backmarkers.  Still took a lot of concentration to avoid the classics - running wide at Parabolica, or getting the chicane wrong.  Late in the race, with the gap already achieved, and gaining a sec each lap, it seemed entirely possible that Geoffers would lap me, and thus the entire field. I was sure that would be his ambition, so mine of course became thwarting it  :)  Had Geoffers in my mirrors so tried hard to keep up the pace on worn tyres, when the inevitable happened:  Got the chicane wrong, clouting the wall.  Damaged the car and surely meant game over, but Geoffers only gained slowly, so I kept trying.  Got very lucky when I happened upon a stuck-in-the-chicane DD.  He had just reversed, creating a gap I could slip through, but when Geoffers arrived, it was closed and he had to brake - thanks for the help DD!

Grats to Geoffers on the win, grats & commiserations to DD

As Erling said, 48 laps of Monza Jnr is much harder than it sounds, particularly in these brutes. As the aliens had already used the  big Cobra I thought it would be a good time to give it a go. Normally I would have passed on using it at all as it is easily the fastest of this group of cars but after a lack of results in GTL recently I could not resist it.

DD had some excellent pace in the Daytona in practice & qually so I was expecting to have a tough race, but T1 effectively eliminated his threat. So I already had a decent lead over Erling going onto the back straight for the first time & although I was just concentrating on hitting my marks & not making any mistakes rather than outright speed, the gap kept growing at around a second a lap. I did have a few near incidents, one when Chris went off at T1 & Tony spun in avoidance & I had to come to a complete stop to avoid hitting him & another near the end when I came across DD stopped in the middle of the chicane & nearly had to come to a halt again. Also apologies to Robby for nudging him into a spin at the chicane, I was expecting you to accelerate away but you pulled to one side to let me through & that caught me out. Sorry.

No Erling I was not intent on lapping you, in fact had DD not held me up in the chicane I was already planning to slow down over the last 4-5 laps so that I would not catch you.

Congrats to Erling & DD.
