Title: UKGPL Season 38 (Spring 2021) - Nivelles and Jacarepaguá - Aug 15

Season Break 38/39 - Fun + Test – 1967 F2 and 1969x F1 - Nivelles and Jacarepaguá

This is a double-header to see if the new Track Gap Freeze Fix has solved the problems we used to have with several tracks. For the first race we will be using the 67F2 cars at Nivelles in Belgium. This is a twisty track which will suite the F2s. The second track, Jacarepaguá, is very flat so it will be crucial to have an optimum wing setting to maximise the grip in the turns.

This car/track combi had several problems that got solved by the new
Track Gap Freeze Fix Patch v.09 (http://srmz.net/index.php?s=1d55bf5d3d0f891eb7da6c3f35d87a26&showtopic=14247)
Put the .xml in the ../GPLSecrets/GEM+/Options/ folder and activate it in GEM for all mods!

Handicapping:
There will be no handicapping.  Drivers have a free choice of chassis. Unlimited number of Shift-Rs are allowed with no need to make a Stop and Go.

This is a fun race so incidents will not be moderated but please drive carefully and with consideration for others.

Please, excepting emergencies, no chat until Session Completed in qualification. No chat in the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

Trying to learn two new tracks for this evening may be a little daunting but the intention is to test the tracks, it isn't about a championship battle. So just enjoy the races, it doesn't matter if you are not at your best. There isn't a championship at stake, have fun!

Practice servers are up on iGOR. Please check your connections and make sure you have the right tracks installed.

You will need to add a starter to the Jacarepaguá track - see here (http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=3729&st=40#entry36667).

Thanks for hosting the tests Phil.

I'm still trying to configure my G27 for a good feedback with the 69X mod, so, not much fun racing them yet.

For Nivelles I really thought we were going with the 67 cars not the F2 67's,  :D

But I guess the practice laps helped enough.

You're welcome, it looks like your connection has improved :) (you're driving is faster too  ;) )

If you haven't tried it, I'd recommend the FF patch (http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=4226).
