Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Didn't feel it at the time but replay shows Geoff touched my rear quarter at T1 early on and went off track. Sorry Geoff, I thought I had taken my normal line there, but my apology if I did anything wrong.

Also apology to Pete for rear-ending you into the chicane, I should have realised the Mustang brakes much later than the Nissan. Luckily it was me that spun and you could carry on for the win. Thanks to all.

Entertaining race, especially the last few laps.

I knew from the previous aborted event here that the Mustang would be struggling for pace so was not expecting to make the podium. However I was a bit disappointed that I was slower than last time & don't really know why.

Got a bit lucky at the beginning when Mark & Birger had a collision at T1 gifting me 2nd place. There was no chance of keeping up with Pete's Nissan but was rather dismayed when Frex just breezed past on the straight in another Mustang. How did you make it so quick on the straight Frex? At T1 Frex ran in a bit deep & I got forced wide allowing Birger to nip past too, then spent many laps chasing Birger with Matt not too far behind us. Got close to Birger a couple of times but my setup was obviously hampering my car as even with the draft I was barely able to stay with him on the straights.

Towards the end Matt caught & passed me & then caught Birger too & passed him, I also managed to nip past as Birger's pace dropped way off, short on fuel? Nearly managed to pinch 3rd from Matt on the last lap when he almost lost control going onto the banking but the Nissan power got him back ahead before the chicane & I had to settle for 4th.

Congrats to Pete, Frex & Matt.

I was concerned about my lack of straight line speed after the race so checked to see if I was getting full throttle, all seemed OK, so it must just have been down to a poor setup.  :(

This I thought was a Nissan track but that pace Frex  :o I braked at my usual point, just short of the 200 board, and fortunately was still in a straight line when we touched. Was both relieved and sorry it happened. My rear tyres were struggling and I was finding it very hard to get the power down out of the slower corners so I doubt I would have been able to hold you off if that hadn't have happened.

Well done to all who turned up :)

How did you make it so quick on the straight Frex?

Hmm, not sure what I did now as I did all my practice for the first running of this event, and just turned up in qually with the same setup last night. I think I had rear wing at minimum (zero?) and reduced final drive a bit. Ride height and suspension stiffness can also affect top speed so I may have tuned those out too as some cars in RRE can be quite sensitive to rake - although not sure if the GTO classics fall into that category, or how much aero they make (probably not that much). Maybe toe settings could also be relevant on the banking.

I can post my setup later when I get in if you want to take a look at it?

Congrats to Pete, Frex and Matt  :thumbup2:, other drivers than normal on the podium.

For me, pretty eventful race. Had a good start and jumped over Mark towards P2. At T1 Pete was breaking early, i was behind Pete and also decided to break early. During braking Mark was on my right and we touched each other slightly. Both spinned but i could recover. Slided down towards pit road and when car was finally under control, pit wall was too close to rejoin the track so i decided to take pit exit (luckily pit limiter didn't switched on, and also didn't get a Drive Through).

Joined the track after Frex and Geoff, shortly after overtook Geoff due to a mistake of him.

During the whole race I, Geoff and Mate where racing closly to each other, but could maintain P3. Until i was looking at my fuel  ??? ::) ::)

Towards the end Matt caught & passed me & then caught Birger too & passed him, I also managed to nip past as Birger's pace dropped way off, short on fuel?

Indeed again to low on fuel, i think i need to do more training because in practice i still need to learn track/car combo, so not pushing the car. During race i get more confident and push the car more. So my fuel consumption increase's during the race.

Ex. race start --> 5l over fueled the car
3 laps to go --> 1l to short of fuel

Due to the battle i didn't look at my fuel consumption.

I was concerned about my lack of straight line speed after the race so checked to see if I was getting full throttle, all seemed OK, so it must just have been down to a poor setup.  :(

rear wing was for me at lvl 1, and lowered the car 1.5cm at both ends so didn't changed the rake of the car.

Nissan was definitely faster, but you could defend from the Nissan. Not other way around. Also tested the Audi, but for me it was not drivable in a short training time (too much understeer).
