A late phonecall, the latest Windows update  >:( and lack of practice let me miss race one.

Race 2: surprisingly I was over 1.5 seconds faster in the Bellet than in my private praccy on Sunday
so I was very content with my result in qualy. After a decent start we had a close race during the
opening stages of the race with some paint abrasions (sorry Dan). Then I survived a freezer without
any damage but I lost about 4 seconds and had a mostly lonely race, realizing that tyre temperature
wasn't a problem like in my Sunday's praccy  in the identical car ??? .
Slowing down during the last three laps as I feared running low on gasoline (red light on).

Really like this track - as far as I remember there was a race at Vallelunga last year too which was
rather motivating.  8)

Thanks for organizing.

I had very bad first race,  someone ran over me in first slow corner and game decided not to count one of my laps, most likely sliding to the grass in start straight. Second time game did not count my lap when I was in the pits, but that did not made any difference as I was several laps behind before fixing visit to the pits.

I builded up some true motivation to second one and not even spinning once did stop me. One of the greatest moments was this:

:)

There's something very weird in the lat and lon cordinates of this track... Tony asked me in chat if it was planned to be evening race and I replied that no, I must been mixed up something server setup...

But no, I checked the server settings and race time was set to 15:00... So, most likely the virtual globe location (latitude and longitude) in track files has been set up somewhere in waaaaay up north and virtual race date has to be in November because here in southern Finland amount of light right now gets about the same as in the race it did yesterday.

I had been a flue for a week so my head wasn't working well and thought it was tuesday and I was setting for another race on UKGPL when I said doh! today is monday and the race is on my home track Vallelunga, who knows me from GPL knows that I had built Vallelunga '71 for GPL  8), so I promptly fired up GTL and the server was still in Q, but  in the rush I chosed a wrong car and I was booted without chance to rejoin in time for start  :'(
I waited for race 2 testing the GTAjr and I can say that the GTL track is quite similar to mine apart from run off areas that were builded in the late 80s for safety and the curbs that are flatter. So I found myself confortable knowing every part of the track very well and I could race a nice pace battling with the Isuzu in the first part of the race and bringing it home in second place without crashing.  :)

 :thumbup1:

Would be nice to try this track anticlockwise in the pre-1971 layout.
No idea whether this version does exist for GTL.
