Qualifying:
- 30 minutes, starts at 19:35 GMT.

Race:
Length: 2 hours
- lapcount set to redicilously high. Race ends when 2 hours is in clock and leading car crosses the start line
- Race starts at approx. 20:05 GMT.
- Virtual race start time: 15:00

Scoring:
  • Both classes score points separately. As this needs a more effort, points get upgraded as well: Winner of each class receives 17 points, 2nd in each class receives 15 points, 3rd 13, 4th 10, 5th 8, 6th 6, 7th 4, 8th 2, 9th 1 point.
  • Overall winner of the race scores additional 2 points.
  • Start in a class where driver has not started yet in this season, scores automatically 3 additional points.
  • Note that you can start maximum of 5 times in each engine class.

Notes:
Race left display:
if you are familiar with player profile editing, you can set the game announce your every XX seconds how much race time is left:
Find from .PLR file Race Timer="0" line from [ Race Conditions ] block and replace the zero with amount of seconds between announcements. If you want to get note in every 5 minutes, 5 x 60 seconds = 300 --> replace the "0" with "300".

Remember to change the value back to zero after the race as otherwise GT Legends keeps telling you race time left in every race. Game itself does not make difference between the time based and lap based races, but it is happy which one (lap count or the time) comes first fullfilled. So it is quite funny that message tells you having 3 hours left in 5 laps quick race, if you forgot it on. :D

That should be fun. I really love the endurance races, and especially with more powerful cars.

Although I have not practiced yet, I have good feeling about this race. We did ran this one 2-3 years ago and even though there was problem race ending too soon, it was great fun. :)

I fear that the 1200TT engine wont last for two hours  :P , but it's a nice version of the track.  :)

Back in 2019 we used the short version of the track.

Maybe I should add option for lowering the revlimit for 1200TT and Escort 1300GT for next season? :)

btw, both cars have exact same over revving engine wear (200 rpm before the redline) as all the others, but for some reason they tend to wear out more easily. perhaps they heat more and that multiplies the wear?

Sorry I can't make it tonight guys. I am battling the COVID at the moment. :( Shame as I like Montlhery and was part in a race in the long version last month. Was great fun.

Sorry to hear that, hope you are better soon DD, best wishes.

Biggest challenge in the race will be avoiding the cut track warnings at the chicanes.  :o

Thanks Geoff, I hope to be back soon. And yes, here you need to stay away from cutting.

I am getting a random cut track warning in the middle of the track just as I am crossing the S/F line, anyone else getting it. I have noticed this a couple of times before but thought it was a delayed notice from the final chicane, but on the last two occasions it has happened I have taken the final chicane without cutting across the kerbs.

On further investigation it happens if you stay to the right of the track just as you pass the pit entrance. If you keep to the left it is OK.

couldn't resist a few laps on the fast Montlhery ring (ignoring the chicanes) in the Porsche 935. result: 312 kph as opposed to the Giannini 650 Modena : 163 kph.

Anyone else  ??:jumpjoy:

To make sure this not becoming problem, I changed the flag rules to none.

But everyone, be aware that going straight thru chicane and getting caught doing it will cause you 1 minute penalty, so let's try to keep this gentlemen style racing, shall we? :)

Dimitar: Get well soon. Now is time to rest and taking easy.

I said to Suti  before race start in whatsapp that hopefully I can pull big gap before the TC guys get things sorted out. Well that gap was not big enough. Fair and square win for Matt.
Nevertheless, pretty much perfect event for me. Did my PB by 3 seconds in qualify and laptimes stayed great during the whole race. I am not sure how long the pitstop takes for these 1600cc cars, but 51 seconds seemed a bit long, though I did change tyres as well.

I have found my favorite setup for Bellett in fast tracks. I used Fuji 68 setup here and while 100/60 diff lock seems to extreme, it works really nice with longest final gear. :)
I captured the whole event. I will upload it to youtube later on.

Had loads on this last few days, so had done no practise at all. Then, due to having a boiler issue, I had a plumber around until nearly 8pm, so was lucky just to get in the race.

Loaded the setup from the Nords event earlier in the year, not perfect it seemed, but good enough to get to he end I hoped! Only had time for one look at a lap, realised I knew at least half the track which came as a massive relief to be honest, but starting from the back was a good option given my lack of track knowledge in the early part of the lap.

Got away OK, and was involved in a great race with Suti, Fulvio, Dan, Chris and Paddler in the early running, but then fell back after a little bit of contact. Wasn't sure, but felt I wasn't getting the best throttle response last night, so need to look at that. Had some contact with Paddler at one of the chicanes and had to wait, which left me dead last by a long way, but it also gave me the chance to find some rhythm on the track by myself. This meant I was able to close in on the guys ahead, the gap opened again when I had the odd moment here or there, but as the car got a little lighter I was able to catch up and get involved in some racing. The Alfa was a good chunk faster than the Escort on the straight, which was interesting at times.

Managed to do part of the track twice on one lap, as I half span and ended up going down the hill back onto the track facing the wrong way, waving at Chris and Fulvio as they went back past me for the 3rd time at least , all good fun.

Chased hard, nearly caught Fulvio but he had enough in hand, so ended up 5th. Found some pace by the end of the race, but nowhere near Geoffers who really did pull some time out of that Mini by the looks of it, cracking lap.

Grats to Matt on a worthy win, and to the rest of the podium peeps. Unlucky to the various guys that fell out of the race.

It's true, an eventful and very interesting race despite the length ... ;D
It would have been better to keep the penalties for the cuts, it would have surely slowed down a lot ... ;)
