Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

IMPORTANT

Did I mention the Crystal Palace event has class restrictions and that you should check them out as it might affect your choices for this race?

Yeah, pretty sure I mentioned it  :whistling:

Yeah, I skipped the Mustang after at least trying it, but I still hate it even after all these years...

Grats to Dimitar for some outstanding pace in it though.

Had a lot of fun tonight guys.. thanks

1st race was nice and steady. Second one I tried a little harder, was hitting the redline at the end of the long straights that I wasn't managing first time out.

But sadly my harder driving revealed a tendency for the back end to step out under braking, got caught out, and during my slide ( uncontrolled I might add!) I think I took out Dan. Sorry. If not it was Eifel. But as it happened more than once perhaps it was both of you.. either way guys. My apologies.

Due then to me being a bit more careful I was backing off earlier for the dodgy corners and at one point I nearly caused Tony to run into the back of me.. totallymy fault. Again big oops and pardons. Had some wicked laps battling with those little pesky minis though. Great clean racing. .

But most of the time it was a cracking night's racing chaps. Thank you.

Grats to the podiums and class winners, there were some fast times posted in all classes!!

For a while there in the 2nd race Paul, I thought that you were doing a first class job in slowing down those Cooper S's and giving me a glimmer of hope in my Anglia lol. Not that I expected you to resort to Stock Car tactics  ::) !!

As Dan said on the grid, the Anglebox needs a few more horses under the bonnet to truly compete with the 1275 Minis, but no complaints because in this season format, we all have to drive both cars, so it should even out.

I am going to stick my neck out here and say "I might finally have cracked the technique for driving those 'orrible front wheel drive boxes!". Race ! was huge fun although I needed all the extra grunt in the 1275 to compete with Mini Ace Geoffers in his 970!! Matt was consistently 3-4 tenths a lap faster than I could muster, but at least I kept him in sight  ;). Fulvio appeared to have taken over my hatred of the Mini after his tyre smoking spin that allowed Geoffers and myself to get past.
I did think that Geoffers was again absolutely spot on when he said after Race 2, "maybe it was a mistake going from a 970 Mini to a Mustang?!" I find that the change in technique from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive and back again requires some serious eye/hand/foot co-ordination and concentration before my 5 active little neurons get the message. After driving the Cooper S in Race 1, it took me half of Race 2 to finally hook up a sub 1:53 lap in the Anglia.
Dan was tantalisingly close in the 2nd half of the race but I suspect that he was "managing" the gap and had pace in hand should my Anglia have the bad manners to challenge the Mini.
I keep saying it, but the 60's saloons are giving me some great evenings. Thanks again Tony.

Great fun in the first race battling with the bigger engined Minis of Clive & Fulvio. In the end Clive was just a bit too consistent to keep up with & Fulvio made a couple of mistakes which I could capitalise on. The 970 demands that you carry as much corner speed as possible & I think on only one lap did I get nearly every corner right & get a lap under 1.50.

Race 2 was probably a bit of a mistake taking the Mustang after driving the Mini in race 1. It worked OK at Snetterton but I found it more difficult here judging the braking points & kept slipping back into Mini mode & braking too late. In the end 2nd in class was where I would have finished anyway, just was not able to get the pace that DD could.

Congrats to DD on his two wins & to all the other class winners.
