Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Start is by flag man so you may wish to have auto countdown turned on. There is a pit lane speed limit of 40mph/60kph approx. The pit entry is before the pit marshall in the white overalls. I think you can rejoin the track at any point. It is suggested that pit stops are practiced. Cuts will be turned off for this event.

Strange. I would have joined but there didn't seem to be anything GTL in the "forthcoming"

All I saw was the AC event, and next Monday's GTL event. And I looked a couple of times

Not been here before, cool track this one.

Not quite my favourite these cars. A combination of lack of skill in these, outright bad driving, and a small dose of bad luck, meant that I was a mile away from challenging Erling for the championship, he has romped home in these cars for sure to take another worthy addition to the trophy cabinet  :thumbup2: :thumbup2:

Big grats to Tony, great consistency nets him the second place

When I arrived for my planned practice Tuesday evening, I realized with horror what track this was  :scared:  Thankfully I practiced so much for the 2019 Christmas Special (ending in T1 for me..), that the track came back to me fairly quickly. Just had to learn it with a different car - would have loved the nimble Healey I had the first time, instead of the more Humpty Dumpty Aston which was my only option left.

Wasn't going to touch Daz, as usual, but with less than 0.3 sec between Clive & me in qual, things looked set for a great race.  As expected, I could accelerate in front of Clive at the start, courtesy of the Aston's 5-speed box.  He wasn't far behind as L1 unfolded, but when he was sudddenly gone, and a dust cloud appeared in my mirror, my heart sank.  Message that he had left soon followed, confirming a lonely race.  Had a shunt myself on L2, getting caught on one of the 'concrete-hedgerow-protrusion-traps', but able to continue.  Later followed a kiss to the barriers, when I lost the rear in the right-hander with the crosses.

Grats to Daz on the untouchable win, and to Tony for completing the podium.  Commiserations to Clive; great shame you lucked out.

Winning the Championship wasn't exactly in the cards, and to be honest, it wouldn't have happened, had Daz attended a few more races, and/or DD not vanished during the season.
Grats to Tony for the 2nd spot & Daz in 3rd!.

Have enjoyed the series as I do like the cars and many of the tracks; thanks to Tony for setting it up!
