Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

IMPORTANT

At this track, the Porsche and the De Tomaso will require a pit stop for fuel.

However they are both capable of producing faster lap times than the BMW or Lancia.

"You pays yer money and makes yer choice" as Shakespeare probably never said.

Great racing gents!
Had some nice fights with Daz, Clive and Matt. In the meantime Tony was steadily making up time!
Oh, and Clive, I think I spooked you in the last corner?

Something a bit different in terms of cars to select and this version of Mugello felt a little tighter than others we have driven, or maybe it was a wider car ??

Grats to Team BMW for the top 4 places, it would appear that the BMW was the car to have, whereas no-one was as stupid as that lone loon who opted for the Pantera??
In my defence, I did quickly try the other cars ( very quickly  ::) ) and the Pantera simply felt the most comfortable to drive. Tony's warning about fuel consumption was puzzling for me, as from the first practice laps the predicted range appeared very close to 30 laps. Maybe I was not driving it hard enough, but it felt like I was extracting as much as my meagre talent would allow, or perhaps my gearing was higher than optimal.

TBH I think I screwed my economy run during the first few laps, when I was sucked into a multi lap battle with Tony and it was destroyed towards the end of the race with a SnG and defending against Paw. I was about 0.5 galls short of finishing the race and at half distance I had been one lap below the target, so a more conservative early race would have seen me to the flag.
Thoroughly enjoyed wrestling the Pantera even with worn tyres and looking forward to the rest of the season.

Very late with practice again, having done none and hoping to find some time during the afternoon.  However, was awoken at 5AM due to problem at work, after only some 2 hours of sleep/slumber.  Had to work from then on, so to say I was doggone tired when we reached the afternoon would be an understatement!

Tried the Beemer first and it was ok after some setup modifications.  Half a lap in Porker & Lancia respectively, was more than enough to realize that these were not cars to tackle in my sleep deprived state!!  The Pantera I didn't even bother with.  Thus stayed with Beemer, tweaking setup a little more.  Surprised to find myself among the front runners, as I expected it to be one of the slower cars.

Good start, getting ahead of Pawel.  Matt close behind over the early laps, but gaps growing in front & behind soon made it look like an all lonely race.  Around midways through, the gap of some 13 secs to Ziu in front began dropping.  That of course made me push as hard as I could, on increasingly shredded tyres.  Through the last laps, I could again see his car up ahead, which is of course is motivating, but race ended before I could get closer than those 5 secs.

Grats to Ziu & Pawel, commiserations to the fuel & other victims

Result (https://www.avonrise.co.uk/srou/kurts/_2022//19012022_Mugello)

8)

These Gr.5 beasts definitely are not my piece of cake.  :P

Don't like the Beemer in GTL (in racing history 1971 to 1974 always preferred the Beemer against the Capris),
Porsche and Stratos look simply undriveable. Not tested the Pantera before the race.

Thanks Tony & Daz for uploading your Stratos setups  :) but I noticed that too late,
so I took Tony's without any testing, but was able to gain about 5 seconds.

Just tested the Pantera offline, which in fact seems to be a relatively stable one, and was able reach a 2:08.5,
which is not bad for my limited circumstances.
