NoGrip Legacy HTC Server is now running 70Silverstone with practice password. :)

I also fixed the server stats practice logger and updated the missing laps to DB, so you can now check the lap times from Server Stats:

I can't see the server Lasse?

Windows got some critical updates and restarted. I restarted the server with the race password.

Result (https://gtl-gtr2-racing.lima-city.de/_2022/18042022_70Silverstone)

8)

Kind of a gamble  :P

Maybe i could have finished without refuelling, but decided for a short pitstop.
But I would not have been able to catch Tony without his problem.

Poor Tony

I am relieved to hear that others have had the Windows update gremlins active.   ::)

I postponed my update, hoping that it would allow me to complete the race in peace. However Mr Gates and Microsoft appeared to have a more urgent agenda and continually tried to initiate the update for Win 11, ( you know, the latest version of Windows that when it was launched claimed that it will not require updates ).

Grats to the podium and class winners.

I had only tried the 850 and 1000 Abarth's before the race and had no idea that they lap at the pace some were extracting. I cheated and saw that Kurt and Geoff had selected the Simca EA, so figured that was worth a try. Instantly a second a lap quicker but with no time to perfect the setup I had to run with what I had and joined the grid. Promptly stalled the engine when the flag fell  :-\

Caught Tony in his Mini and made a much wider exit from Stowe than I intended forcing him onto the grass ( sorry Tony )). Chased after Kurt but it took me around 10 laps to start getting any performance from the Simca setup. Slowly reeled him in and then my progress was interrupted by those aliens lapping me  :D.
I was surprised when Kurt pitted with 10 laps to go?? perhaps he had a cunning plan? I knew that I could reach 29 laps and then go for a splash and dash for the chequered flag. But, I think my pitcrew were  undergoing an update from Microsoft because they refused to work on my car!!! no choice except to quit  ???

Plumped for an 850 for this race & tested all 3 cars, Mini was far too slow & the Simca was around half a second faster than the Abarth, so went with that.
Looked to be an interesting race when I joined the server with several drivers in 850s but by qually time there were just 4 of us left. When I had 2s advantage in qually a boring race looked in prospect & so it proved with just the 1000cc cars lapping me providing any interest. In hindsight I should have taken the Mini, then maybe could have had a battle with Kurt & Clive.

Congrats to Daz on the win & Manfred, Micha, Kurt & Tony on the class podiums.

Thanks Kurt to race report.  :thumbup1:

I was one of the class switchers Geoffers mentioned.
I had quite lot practice in 850cc Class in a Mini and while I was 0.6 seconds behind Abarths (by server stats fastest laps. My fastest lap time was 1:57.173 and that was with tad too long final gear to save fuel), I was aware that Mini might be able to do the race without refuel. However near end of the practice it seem that bigger class had very few entries so I switched to 1000cc Mini with setup close to the one I had in 850, just with a bit longer gears. 3 minutes before the race start I realized that the big class actually had fillled quite bit and switch was more or less pointless. However I decided to stay in bigger class as the race start was so close.

Very soon after the start it became obvious that I would not be able to battle more than last place in class unless someone would be in troubles. That did not happen, I however collected stop and go from speeding in pit lane in lap 12 or so. After dealing it in next lap, I was over 40 seconds behind Matt, so I concentrated racing against guys lapping me.

So, in small class there could have been more racing for me, but there's no way I would been able to challenge Geoff.

Cadwell is next, from last 3 years I have 2 class wins from there so It does fit me quite well. However as I am planning to run Nurburgring 500kms in Division ½ car, it might effect my car choice this year.
