Welcome to the final round of the Skoda 130RS Trophy!
I'm not sure if we've ever raced here before in AC - but we must have all raced here in various other sims/arcades over the years so you'll all know this is a small circuit that's very well suited to smaller more nimble cars and provides plenty of passing opportunities if you can *only* convince your opponent to make a mistake :D

Timings:
Practice: 19:30 (45 mins)
Qualifying: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30  (40 Laps)

Cars allowed:
Skoda 130RS (https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/skoda-130-rs.26700/)

Skin Pack:

Inside the pack you will find 5 folders - these need to be placed into "*Your steam library*steamappscommonassettocorsacontentcarstmm_skoda_130rsskins"

I also recommend you install the big skin pack from the 1st post in the announcement thread (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=30381.0) - I may have selected some of those cars when setting up the server (It's nearly impossible to tell which are which in the server software). If you see any white cars this will be your problem.

We will using the full layout for this event.

Are you sure you wouldn't like to get some practice in Maxime?  :D

Your bad. Your combos are so lovely that laps come in as an endless flow.  :D

I missed a lot of this series, so my knowledge of this car is not that great, but all of the gearing options seem to be off for this car. ::)
Still good fun to throw this Skoda around this track.

That's the beauty of them though - You'll normally have a choice of gearing for each round I picked, but you have to decide which to run as each will only be good for one area of the track ;)
While a couple of circuits have favoured a specific gearset, most have still been close across 2.

Glad you're enjoying the combo Maxime.
Once I've decided on cars for my next series it normally takes a good week of evenings to then pick tracks that best suit them and encourage racing

Lorenzo doesn't like my name on top of sTracker !  ;D

Tim, just smack us all with your 1'05 ! I say "all" but my teammate is ambushing you so that you *need* this 05 hehe...

At the end of the day, I'll have the 6th or 7th best lap once again.
My signature doesn't say it all : "the fastest guy to find a way to be slow" but also "the slowest guy to find a way to barely be not-that-fast"..

'Try hard' mode is mandatory here.

Don't worry Sol, you will still have me way behind you, I am really struggling to get under 1.08, 1.06s are just fantasy for me.  :(

You'll improve that !  ;)

But yes, we poor humans still outnumber this growing alien population, we still can win this war of all worlds !  :D

Is there already an estimate on the number of laps?

Sorry - I literally only realised I hadn't done this while out walking the dog earlier (About 2 minutes before seeing your post :ninja: )

Based on s-tracker 40 is a good number so I'm going with that :)

Sorry for the delay guys - I came back from eating my tea and couldn't get on the internet.
Something seems to have gone wrong with my VPN as uninstalling that has fixed the issue ::)

 I love my teammate's confidence and optimism but ambushing Tim can only be achieved with heavy armor:  :tank:

I think this is the race you'll florish  :thumbup1:

Sorry about the small tap Geoffers, there was a gap so I took it. AC just reacts a bit harsh sometimes when cars make slight contact. Luckily we didn't spin out. Had a blast chasing Geoffers, Kimi and Jari. It was al about creeping up lap after lap and planning your move. Most attempts where fended off, but the last lap dices with Jari where great.

Unfortunately I was unable to do all the races, but this series was very good. Thanks for organising Tim. Oh and ofcourse congrats to Tim, Jos and Fabri on the final standings.

No problem Stefan, just one of those first corner bunching incidents. Quite enjoyed the race which was mainly a case of dicing with Kimi for last place. Was catching Stefan & Jari during the second half of the race but no where near fast enough to be with them by the finish.

Congrats to the podium & to Tim on a dominant series victory.

Was a great little series this, didn’t expect to make many rounds but only missed one through my pc crashing on the night. Cars were good fun and well matched to the tracks chosen, and generally had some great racing throughout. Big thanks to Tim for organising and fellow competitors for the fun.  :thumbup1:

This round was actually my least fun, was stranded in 6th with no competition ahead or behind by the time we’d done 15 laps, so mainly just went through the motions to the flag.

Well done to Tim on the championship win  :notworthy:

Well that was a blast - we had some good improvements in pace at various points this series from both Jos/Maxime and also the Mafiosi of Fabri, Barone, and Lorenzo. I was certainly kept on my toes!
Congrats to Jos and Fabri on closing out the top spots and thank you to all who attended. I'm intending on focusing on close fun racing for the next series too so make sure you read the thread in the link below and try to make the various fun/test races :)

I've just posted up a thread with my intended fun events during the break (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=31271.0) - please do your best to attend and give feedback as all have great potential for really good, fun racing providing I get my track lists sorted to suit...

In other news Kai enjoyed co-driving for me so much she's now bought herself her own racing car (obviously I need to stop paying her vet bills....) - so if we ever ran the VRC TA2's here it'll be her you're racing against and not me  ;)
