Qualifying: 20:20 (10 mins) Drivers must not leave qualifying to change car make.
Race: 20:30 (15 laps)

RACE TWO will follow, with same rules

Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

I've installed the car pack for this one, and while the Corvette loads OK, when I try the Cobra it crashes the game back to my desktop. Anyone else tried yet?   

Hi, I am aware of one other who is getting the same problem. I have asked them to make me a trace file so that I may find out what's missing/wrong.

EDIT: I may have found the missing file!

Please download this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fGNJuobz4OaOlLiM1snRlogBFsyNewBl/view?usp=sharing and put the file into each of the three CAR folders (you will see a file already in the correct folder called AC_COBRA_CPIT.gtl).

Let me know if this fixes the CTD please.

I presume it is the 260 Cobra & default 65 Corvette we are using.

Worked ok for me without the 'missing' files.

Still nothing doing Tony, and at present I'm getting "car not present on the server" for the Corvette too, which didn't happen before.  As the a "Trace" file, following the instructions earlier in the thread, if I right click mon my GTL icon on screen, there's no "TARGET" box, possibly because it's a Steam version that it points to?  I don't know enough about it so only thing I can think of.  Might sit this one out, as I'm really running out of time to get anything set up and do any laps before the race tomorrow, sorry.

Ok Huggy, understood. I have a trace file from PaulSS and it would have been helpful to have compared it to yours. You can create a desktop icon yourself. If you find your GTL.exe file and right click on it, then select "show more options" (assuming your on W11), on the next screen you will find "Send to". Hover over this and you will see the option to "Desktop (create shortcut)". Click on this and you should now have a working icon on your desktop.

It would help me enormously to see your trace file at some time.

Are these (cars & track) the exact same as we used in 2020?

Corvette yes. Track probably. Cobra no.

So it's the standard cars?   Or is it a new Cobra?

May skip this, based on 2020 experience.  A word of warning to those doing the races:  there are places here where even a minor excursion outside the track will end your race; the surface is so slippery that there's no getting back on track.  Happened to me in both 2020 races.

It is not the same version of the track. This version is a little easier as there is more track furniture to give you an idea of where to brake & turn. Laptimes are around 6s longer than the track we used in 2020.

The sand is driveable here, just tested it. Also there is a wall/barrier around almost all of the track perimeter which is only yards from the track edge so if you do go off, you don't travel far.

Would love to help with a trace file, but just can't find a way to create one in my Win 10 / Steam setup. I created a direct icon to the GTL exe but still no sign of anything referring to "target" . Sorry.

Cobra260 runs fine and circuit is certainly a different version as Geoffers has commented.

I also got the "car not present on server" message when I tried the Corvette. So I checked the "GameData/Teams" download. I suspect that like me you have installed this pack from Tony over the top of an older install? NOT ALL of the Corvettes are available for these races. It looks like only certain Corvettes can be used? Check the car numbers in the download/Teams/GTC65/Corvette and make sure that you pick one of those.......then it all worked for me .

Is it not just the standard Corvettes?

Corvettes # 801, 804, 821, 854, 858, 888, and 900.

These are the only Corvettes available for these races.

I had a couple of other Corvettes that did not work, presumably from another series download?

Right click the desktop icon. Select Properties. Target is under the tab Shortcut.

Gotcha!  Will PM it over directly. Managed to load an appropriate Corvette so may do one race, see how I get on.

2 Different installs, copied the extra files into all 3 cars
CTD every time with a Cobra from off line or on line
