This would have been my first race with the new PC. Unfortunately the virus checker settings are rather different & by the time (I think??) I had worked out how to allow the 69X programme the grid was full.

Perhaps you should have had my place Billy. All was well until Lesmo 1 on lap one with cars all around me and...............one of our cats got into the room and decided to chase all the moving images across the monitor whilst jumping about on the keyboard!! :cursing: :censored: :censored: :censored: The cat was placed on the floor.

I hope my crazy motions did not impede anyone else. I recovered last and set off again, only for a repeat feline intervention at Parabolica and Curve Grande!! At which point I surrendered to the cat!!!

  Congrats Jungle!!!!!

I still have the accelerator failing, in these conditions, Monza needs full power, so I decided to go with the old Lotus, the one with 4 coins. But I confess that I wanted to beat my friend Doni who had that unbearable BT24 !!!! But I wasn't able to follow and I lost!!!! Congratulations Doni :)

Congratulations to everyone, it was a tough recovery race as everyone was fast, a great race with Greg and FPolicardi and Farina.
Congratulations to Renato and Uli, there was no time to catch up with you, but it was a well-contested race.

Unlucky Bill but I'm pleased to hear your PC, and presumably your wheel, are working  :thumbup1:

A pretty satisfying result in the BT24.  Short on cornering ability with no aero assist, it at least goes like a rocket in a straight line.  Dave Rainier seemed to think it was the right choice, too.  I avoided some troubles in the early laps and made sure to keep our cat, Finnegan, out of the office.  :)

After things settled down at 1/3 distance, I was mostly on my own expecting Jonny to close up to challenge but it just never happened.  Gutted to see Eddie out early after earning pole.  Ditto Axel for an early engine failure.

Bravo to Jungle Boy on the win!  Well done to Uil and Ricardo for taking P2 & P3, respectively.  Greg just aced out of the last step on the podium by a whisker with Fulvio in hot pursuit.  Some good racing action there.

Terrible accident for me on the fourth lap with Paul.
My Brabham spun and flight to fall back to the other side of the fence, but fortunately in the right direction.
It’s a miracle I was able to leave without too many problems!

I think Paul tried to overtake me but moved over too early.

I had a good set-up for Monza, I didn't expect to take pole position
Farina and Miguel helped me with the car setup
I made a good start
But the vacuum of 69 allows an attack
On the 2nd lap I lost 3 positions and then before the parabolic, I was side by side with Ricardo Silva and, in a slip of mine, I went a little to the left, where we touched, sorry Ricardo
Returning to the race and with a very big loss, I tried to row more aggressively
And unfortunately, I ended up running over Rannier, I'm sorry Rannier, I miscalculated and dove well before the turn
To the commissioners I assume my guilt and I am available for sanctions
A big hug
Once again, I apologize to Ricardo and Rannier

I’ll never understand why my nickname is so hard to write  ;D

Hopefully, I didn't choose a Welsh name !

Hi Guys, not a good race for me. Just far too slow in this company.

Im really sorry If I caused David any problems. If I did im really sorry . Mods if need be please give me whatever penalties I deserve.

only incident I remember is being hit really hard from behind during practice, which obviously wasnt done on purpose... didnt even get a full lap in so was at the back as expected.
Luckily I Took a low token car as anything else would have been a waste.

I remember only being involved with one Incident, I did not think about it really and certainly wasnt going to report it when i was again hit from behind by a much faster car during the race.  having read the previous race reports I assumed it may have been part of a Cat Attack upon another driver.  :) ;)

Once again if my fault sorry. spent 99% of the race at the back trying hard to stay our of the way of extremely fast approaching cars. Not really any fun at all.
shame we havent got enough people for a Privateers server. without that option Im just a mobile chicane it seems.

not actually sure if this championship is something I would be better off not entering. so many Aliens.  :)

Then I crashed into another pilot, sorry for the wrong nickname Rainier

Sorry Paul, I just had a look at the replay and the crash was not with you but with Dulima...

Please, stay in this championship !
Remember we didn't drive the best cars in Monza (you with the old Lotus without wing, and me with the old BT24) and we finish the race with a better result than the poleman and the 3rd on the grid  ;D

.......spent 99% of the race at the back trying hard to stay our of the way of extremely fast approaching cars. Not really any fun at all.
Just drive your normal line and pace Paul. It is up to the lapping drivers to overtake you safely. It is best if you drive predictably so they can plan their move with confidence.

A second server wouldn't make a difference unless there were  more drivers at the same ability as you. Don't worry about being a mobile chicane. There are 3 or 4 drivers I regularly battle with. There are a lot that are just too fast for me. It doesn't matter if they are on the same server or a different one, I never see them after the start.

Provided there is someone of a similar ability as you to race against you can have fun and just ignore the aliens.

Starting in 5th I had a good start and soon settled on the lead changing positions with Axel in the same car till he blew the engine. Then I had a little battle with Uli and Renato, but at 11 lap Renato got my drag to Para and moved to pass inside. When I turned in I thought he was still behind and we touched with me in the sand  :'(
I reported this incident only to see what moderators think. Usually I don't report incident and I don't want to blame anyone. Too bad cause it was one of the best race I was having at Monza. Regained the track behind Pete, I had a nice backup and joined Greg and Ricardo on their battle for 3rd. When there is a train of 3 cars it's almost impossible to pass for the third car if noone make mistakes. After many effort at two lap to go I had a chance to pass Greg before Grande and at last lap tried the same with Ricardo, but I went wide  scratching the rail and had to keep 5th to the end. Exciting race!

Paul, I missed the opening race because I got tangled up with the Norton Virus checker settings. Should be back for the next one & I need some competition in the battle of the back markers. Hope to see you there.

Nice full grid yesterday!  ;D
I am very happy with my race, was able to stay out of it all after my bad start takeing home the second place safely, although I was in fact much too tired - not able to go hotlapping to the end of the race. So I was pleased to let Renato pass, also because I saw how fast he was coming closer.  - 2 fast 4 me  :thumbup1:  and big THX for close and faire fighting to you Fulvio. 8)
Congratulation Renato and Ricardo and to all finishers
thanks for the perfect organization

Congrats Renato, Uli, and Ricardo!

That was intense! I doubt I relaxed 1 second the entire race. Fulvio, Ricardo, and Enrique kept pressure on me most of the race. I had to be perfect to pass Ricardo the one or two times I was able. I wished I had the DFV´s torque exiting Parabolica. The shift from 2nd to 3rd exiting Parabolica showed the Ferrari´s disadvantage. Fulvio drove great! I was lucky and it took a great effort to manage to finish in front of him. The mistake I made going 3 wide into Parabolica would have been disastrous if not for Fulvio giving me some extra time to get the car slowed.

I haven´t driven this new version of Monza much. An outside line at Curva Grande and Parabolica felt like unfamiliar territory. I don´t know what I really can and can´t do yet. I struggled with the car´s handling early in the race. I hoped I might be able to latch onto the leaders. I had my chance. It was great fun driving the Ferrari at Monza. The 67 Ferrari at Monza was what got me hooked on this sim.

Thanks for the fun gentlemen and thanks for letting me race with you.
