I don't suppose someone can tell me why the RSS weather section is there on GTL races as well, since there's no weather in GTL? ???

In case you live near Brands Hatch, it's nice to know what the weather is going to do on Thursday. ;)

Because it's not worth the effort of turning it off where it's not needed. :P

Well, last time we had Ferrari and Renault in the same race (Buenos Aires), Ferrari beat them handily.

Yes, but that was along track where it could use it's power. This is Indy where it will struggle with it's weight.

If this is the same Brands short track that was in TOCA, then it's a track I hate. It might be better with GTL cars though...

No setups for ferrari in the online folder. I just copied the setup from Buenos Aires. It'll have to do. I just changed gears a bit.

As usual, the Healey is great fun around here ;D. Hope that its evenly matched with the Alpine as that would make for an ace fight.

Had to quit in the end it was so unsafe driving the Alpine with other cars on the track and I'd already been off a few times and nudged a few people and caused a big pile-up when I spun and SBG drove into my wrong way pointing car, very sorry to all.

It really was impossible to drive close when the cars in front kept changing speed through the corners (which they did all the time). There was I sat behind and nothing I can do but let off throttle or brake or hit guy in front. Letting off throttle was like igniting rocket jets out the side of the back end it was unbelievable how the arse would release it self in the worlds most awful lift off oversteer.

I've done a lot of racing, but I could not find anyway to drive that car safely with other cars around. It was ok on it's own because you didn't have to change corner speed through the corners, but with all the other cars changing their speed so much with power exit oversteer I couldn't drive behind anyone and in the end I got so frustrated with not being able to drive with anyone else that I quit after I had to lift off to avoid a car again followed by the predictable spin.

I think a bad choice on my part to include the Alpine with these other cars as it was totally unsafe due to it's completely different characteristics. It's unclear what the Alpine can race with safely tbh, other than itself.

Had good feelings going into the race as the Alpine is great to handle through traffic.

Messed myself up after spinning on lap 3 or 4. Rejoined and faught an uphill battle

Kept catching up to ADE for 16th through to 14th, but every time I was catching up I would have to adjust for front runners (some of who were a little impatient through the bendy parts - sorry for holding you up) or I would make some stupid mistake. Do have to agree with Shark, was very intimidating to be in the Alpine, as a slight nudge usually launched me off track, while the Ferrari or Healy just shrugged it off and kept on going.

Had fun overall, the track was quick, and fairly easy to negotiate. Was fairly consistent mid race, but after I mucked up a couple of times I started losing concentration and didn't really help my situation.

Driving with one headlight was fairly tough too.
Good race to Oily for getting us some points!

Not too exciting race for me. Could just hold on to Bara at the beginning but when lapping started I lost him :).

At one point I lapped Madd, just to see MJ infront and I totally lost track of where I was so I went onto the grass ;D.
Later there was a huge pileup. I saw lights spinning (lighthouses), dust everywhere, smoke, the whole shebang :P. Was hard to get by in one piece and I was almost stationary :D.

Grats Bara :)

No comment from me until I see the replay, but pretty frustrating being much quicker than all the cars around me (darn disco in qually lost me loads of places), constantly overtaking and then through other people's driving losing the places (and my lights) back.  Impossible to see the track at the end with no lights, I almost had my face up against the screen to see.

 >:( >:( >:(

Gawd that was a spectacular pile up Simon. No worries and I just didn't have enough room to get bye.

Get the badness outta the way. Poor old Madd was stuck on grid, I couldn't avoid him (didn't even see him) and that was me too back of grid with a crooked car again. I appreciate that was prolly an honest mistake but we can't afford to have them on start. Especially as it always seems to be me that clatters into the dozers ;).

Also rear ended by someone who didn't hesitate to pass me and then did the same move to Tinman in front ::). I encourage everyone to report everything please, I will be.

Way, way outweighed by goodness ;D. Billiant battles with MJ and Tinman for 1st and 2nd part of race respectively. Its good to see drivers give each other room and do all they can to avoid contact, that was especially true of MJ. Luckily saw him off, I think via Sharks pile up. Then on the receiving end of a fantastic sizing up job by Tinman and he waited until last lap lap to make his move. And bugger me, it was a good one. Congrats :)

Good stuff all and the back markers were very helpful as well. I wasn't being rude flashing my lights but my "blue flags" weren't working and I presumed that was same for everyone?

Well the start was awful, selected first let the clutch out and........lots of revs, a few McRae smacks of the lever and a gear was found....reverse  ::) hit it again and first finally engaged then got hit by SBG I think, (very sorry  :-[ ) and gor going in....last  :'(, it was just a case of trying to be fast and consistent, was caught out by a couple of spinners early on and a little excursion onto the gravel whilst racing Ossie meant I gave myself even more work to do.

Thankfully I was in clear air most of the time and was reeling some people in by over a second a lap, so I was always busy and therefore concentrating (at least more than usual), got lapped by Bara and then Ruskus who must have got bored with the track and went offroad for a bit!!  ;D

Also very lucky when Shark spun saw the chaos andwas lucky enough to thread through the carnage, came acroos Steve who seemed to have lost his lights and was probably finding turn in points more taxing than they would have been, he went wide at the last corner and I managed to get past.

Finally came up to pass Syd and he too drifted wide at the last corner and I took 4th in the end, very happy with that, 16 overtakes! not a bad evenings entertainment

It was very tricky to pass back markers but most were pretty good tonight.

Grats to the podium btw!  :D

LOL, I had nog idea where I was and totally missed the steerin point ;D. So instead of desperatly trying to keep it on track I went a bit of rallydriving ;D. After 43 laps I was bored of the track indeed :P.

good fun that but hard work in equal measures  :P

Turned up late with about 8mins of qual left and hadnt turned a single lap around here in any of the chosen cars. Wanted time to test a healey and the fezza but work thought otherwise  ::)
Qualied a lacklustre 17 out of 23 with only 2 clean laps in remaining time.

Race was great from the lights, got a good clean start if not electrifying but cautious braking at paddock allowed wiltshire Tony through. I then set about SBG and we had a great, clean fight for about 18 laps or so before some multi car spin up ahead caused me to do likewise under braking. Me and Ginsters had steadily worked our way upto 9th and 10th at one point despite our own fight  8)
10th seemed destined to be as high as i would get tonight as each time i got there an incident by someone else or my doing dropped me back down.
My finest moment however, happened on lap 31 when i saw a lapping alpine catching me with two other cars 'seemingly' in hot pursuit, so being the gent i am  :euro: i pulled wide left up at druids and took a real long slow way around to let the, ahem, lapping cars through only to find i had just let 2 cars overtake me for position  ::) :-[...what a numbnuts i felt  :'(
The worst thing was i had lost all momentum and grip taking the wide line and they literally blasted past me to gain a few seconds up the road. D'oh ! :taz:
So i dropped from 11th to 13th. Caught them again on last lap but ran out of time.
Good job Baracus had lapped me twice as i wouldnt have made it to the end on the fuel left in car!

Congrats pody guys  :thumbup1:

Not the most exciting race, but I'm very happy with my drive today.

The Ferrari is really the only car I care about enough emotionally to focus on driving the thing properly - driving to IT'S limits rather than MINE - and not wanting to dent it's beautiful shape ;)

I touched the grass a couple of times on that down hill left hander (Graham Hill) but that was the nearest I got to overdriving it :)

The car was perfect all race - I had exactly the right amount of lift-off oversteer for Paddock Hill and just got into the groove for the rest of the lap. I overcame my fear that I wouldn't be able to be consistent and it felt great!!

Must say thanks to all that I was lapping, as they made it very safe to do so. Even Keith dived out of the way for me (unintentionally :p ) so it was only Jeff and I went the whole distance!

Thanks all see you next time ;)

Well I`ll go to the foot of our stairs, Nay the second step, My first podium 2nd in class I didn't get the champaign but celebrated with a Wells banana bread beer yum yum. Sorry if i slowed any leaders down I think  because when i center my track ir before the race I'm sat back in the chair looking cool and as soon as the race starts I'm like a nun on the M25 with my chin over the steering wheel and cant see any mirrors then when i look at the mirror, without thinking I steer away from my head turn  and drift a little, SORRY maybe a little bit of dead zone will help. Anyway big up to the winners, thanks to everyone and see you next time.

Not seen that before from SRou - possibly a standings generation from the league management system had temporarily chewed up enough CPU to stop other pages working - odd though because the lapcharts site uses only static content, so it may just be a blip in the hosting centre.

Managed to qualify well by my standards for the first time in a league race and after getting a half decent start in the Ferrari had a quality race, definitely the best yet thanks to another sorted setup from Prodigy's own Mr. Bimmer.

Was aware that my tires would be shot around lap 30 so as the car felt like it had good pace in qually, went about a serious conservation mission, pushing only as hard as I needed to stick with the best of the rest while the laps whittled down a bit. Steve H, fair play mate and nicely done into Druids  ;D. I know there were at least a couple of opportunities when you could've had a pass and probably left me out to dry but thought better of it so thanks, was very glad to finish. Hope that wasn't the frustration you refer to!

The latter half I found myself in a great tussle with Syd. Found it really difficult to do my own race pace while the leaders came through but that's something I definitely need to work on as its caught me out a couple of times. Made a complete hash of being lapped, holding up Dan despite trying to get out of the way (apologies!), getting sideways at Paddock and then letting through Steve who'd somehow ended up behind me and tucked in nicely to sail past in the guise of a leader  :o.

Once i'd lost a shedload of time, saw Syd on the horizon once again and as you're just above us in the standings mate, had to hound you until the end  ;D. Really enjoyed our battle, thought i'd left it too late but just managed to clinch the place on the penultimate lap, thanks for some great entertainment, that was some sliding through Maclaren!

Thanks for a wicked race all and grats podium/ Baracus, couldn't believe my mirrors when I saw you lapping me so early...i'll be watching the replay for some tips.

Well that didn't go too well...

I managed 2 flying laps in qually, there were so many cars on track that I couldn't get a decent lap in. :-\
Then I missed the lights at the start. :o

When I'd just been given my third Stop/Go in three laps (for cutting the track while diving out of the way of some of the lapping cars, who were acting like they couldn't see you. :-\), and then crashing later in the same lap and destroying both headlights, I decided to retire. I was already three laps behind the car one place in front of me at that point. :o

My first DNF out of all the races I've been in here. :'(

No way mate, that was fair racing, well done for getting a good result.  ;)

Race wasn't as bad as it seemed for contact, as is always the case.  But was that, gasp, Shark, lunging inside Prib and partly-spinning me round   :P.  Fair play though, you waited and it didn't really harm any of the 3 of us.  Man you must have been having a frustrating time with the Alpine, like you said.

Course everything went wrong for me after being tagged in T1 on the first lap, never had a clean run to get in a rhythm and just had lots of frustrating incidents which lost me places, including losing my lights to a lappee spinning in front of Syd and me.  It certainly got very dark by the end and I fell from 5th to 8th on the last lap as I just couldn't see where Paddock Hill turned and ran wide, despite tiptoeing round!

As I mentioned right after the race I got disconnect during the race. I've heard now from my follow GDC-driver that my car was idle on the track for some laps. I was not aware of this. The only thing I saw were some 'headlights which did not move and I was able to drive around freely (albeit with no other cars..).

My apologies for getting in the way like this. Next time I will disconnect immediately  :-\

I saw a car that was stationary for two laps on the apex of Paddock Bend (I think it was that corner). It did give me a bit of a fright when I swerve to avoid a lapping car who then swerves to avoid a stationary car...It wasn't your fault though, so don't worry about it.
