Can't make this race nor the one after as I'll be away in foreign climes. Will probably strugle to make the one after that as that is the day we return to blighty, so all told probably miss the next 3 races.

That means it will be Spa before my next sprint race, hopefully see some of you in this weekend's endurance race.

Having just watched the fantastic 4. I'll say it's clobbering (with the tyre wall) time!!!  ;D

Whats a reasonable lap time(in qualifying and race trim) around Enna?

Anything that gets you around without clouting the tyres! There were a lot of accidents and retirements in the NGT race.

I've just set a new PB of 1:30.4 in the F550. My race pace will be much slower though or I won't make it to the end, I broke a lot of cars to go that fast, maybe 1:33-1:34.

I'll pop along as a reserve in case there's a space.  Given how many people tend to retire there it needs a full starting grid!  Enna always reminds me of the years they put tyers at the chicanes at Monza for F1.  Dangerous!

Lol. I plan to hang it all out in qualifying, hopefully get near my 1:30.6 best in lister, then drive like a granny in race. If everyone gets
as nervous as I do at Enna any finish should see me in top 10 (provided I avoid CTD, disconnection or 1fps).

I might qualify on a race setup to avoid having a fast driver breathing down my neck during the race. If I can get to the end without a major incident I'll be happy.

Well what an evening!  My PC dies fairly suddenly, managed to scramble into the loft and get my old xp2000 system and get GTR on it only to be a couple of mins late to enter.  Thankfully at least the racemore site said there were 24/24 present.  Hope you guys had a good race!  Now I need to work out wtf happened to my PC...

Nae joy, I got punted right at the start and ended up dead last, was up to 11th and spun again.

Was making up places again when I hit Bombdogs (i tihnk) when we were both chasing someone whose acceleration I misjudged - sorry!

Final Nail in the Coffin - someone spun at the really fast chicane and the ensuing smoke meany my framerates went into single digits - end result, welcome to the tyres :(

Oh, and my gear lever lost one of its springs :(

Uck.  Sorry all who I was involved with (Colin P, Iain).  Two overtaking attempts which I misjudged.  Red mist was alive and well.  In the end I got clouted myself - no more than I deserved.  Must be the worst 25 minutes of racing ever.

unng... can't really call that racing  :'(

quali'd 19th or so on race set-up and was up to p8 at one point - purely by just pootling round - things got more interesting when the fast guys who'd spun/hit stuff caught me back up (hope i wasn't *too* much of a nuisance)

anyways was still in polite mode from letting lappers past and gifted another place to jonM right on the line... but then it wasn't like he didn't deserve it  ;)

Well that was interesting. I think FlyBri and I were 1 - 2 through process of elimination.

I'm really looking forward to the Endurance races at Enna - 60 minutes of:
1) Oooh straight - zzzzzz.
2) Oooh tyres - waaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!
3) Oooh straight - zzzzzz.
4) Oooh tyres - waaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!
5) Oooh straight - zzzzzz.

Replays and exports up.

On the first lap I decided to brake half between my outlap and normal braking points. Don't think there was enough heat in the brakes, couldn't quite avoid the tyre on the left. Lesson learned - treat 1st race lap like an outlap.

got to turns 1 and everyone was sitting there blocking the track..so I took to the grass...race director warned me for cutting the track. Got up to the end of the straight...and buggered up my braking completely...and took some people out. Sorry

That's one unforgiving track  :( Well done to everyone that finished the race and grats to Shark for the win  ;D
Had 3 crashes in the race, first one I was leading, feeling quite comfy then in the last set of bends there was a spun vette, just didn't have time to do anything and hit it full on. So went in to the pits, thinking about it I crashed in the perfect place about 10 meter's from the pit entrance  :D Had a punctured left and some aero damage. And then got in the way of the vette's pit spot, Nice reverse park though mate  :D Came out and started chasing and got to close behind cb65amc and punted him off into the tyre's(sorry dude). Got going again then hit a parked car at the first chicane going 100 something to 0 in 0.1 seconds, but no damage to the car :o . All in all a bit of a bummer of a race but still had a nice qually battle with shark and a bit of good racing in between enna's intrusions. Cheers fella's  ;)

I'm completely shot.I was nervous before quali, I thought race might be a lottery, and then all hell breaks loose when I post a time at end of session. Had no time for vital loo break when I seemed to jump to pole and discover another of simbins charming bugs. Still, at least we know for next time.

Must say sorry to backmarkers who I "flashed". There was no way I could safely pass without your help and the red mist really got the better of me.

A fairly dreadful race for me.
I don't like this track, I think it's silly.

Lap 1, turn 1, someone came by me who couldn't possibly have been obeying the rule that says "don't accelerate until the one in front does".
At least I think that's what the rule says.
We both crashed into the more sensible drivers in front.  Sorry!

I also made some rather dubious overtaking attempts which failed miserably.
After I've seen the replay I'll report myself.

Looking on the bright side, I had no 'Simbins'.

Was a good qualifying battle. Was a little annoyed not to get pole with you pipping me by 2 thousands or something like that, well done. I was on a flyer near the end of qual with not long to go a couple of tenths up on my time and whacked the tyres into tyre chicane #1 ending my chances of getting a better time. I had a good laugh at that one I must admit.

I too didn't have an incident free race, despite winning. I clipped the curb too hard going through tyre chicane #2 very early on and span a couple of times with Mark behind me having no where to go but get collected. Sorry Mark, not much I could do and we carried on ok until later when you had an intimate moment with the tyres at tyre chicane #1 and looked to completely destroy your car but somehow carried on.

Finally, for all those who think it's impossible to have close racing at Enna that doesn't end in tears have a look at the battle between myself and FlyBri. Between 450s and 780s on the server replay. Excellent fun and clean which eventually led to me passing Fly when he made a little mistake through the second tyre chicane. Good battle Fly, enjoyed that.

Thanks shark for the good race man, my best performance to date  ;D like you said m8, it was clean and great fun, there was one point where i made a poor exit from one of the chicanes (2nd tyre chicane i think) and you were along side me on the long sweeping right hander, i looked back and got confused as to what side you were passing me on (always confuses me when i look back  :o)lol i crapped myself, closed my eyes and waited for the contact...... i tried to stay on the same line due to my confusion otherwise i would have given you a bit more room to pass. My point is , i wasnt trying to block you or anything like that. Then i had that lock up which gave you a chance to pass which you took very nicely.  8)

Near the end, we hit traffic and i managed to get within a second or two, but then i got stuck behind a backmarker who shall remain nameless (*cough* tomcooper*cough*) for half a lap. A quick apology to Tom as i just tagged him in the middle of a chicane (he did touch the brakes at the apex!!) after that i lost my rhythm and the gap was up to about 8 seconds.

Good Job on your win Shark, you deserved it dude. You were at least a second a lap quicker. I was more than happy with my performance, i never left the track once, hit any barriers or tyre walls  ;D Cant wait to get home from work and watch the replay :)

FlyBri  ;D

Must say I really enjoyed last nights race, Enna is a bugger of a track in my mind.

I qualified really badly, just couldn't get hooked up at all so only made 20th on the grid. Thankfully, due to a couple of nice moves and so many people having unfortuante events I managed to finish in 7th. Shark just lapped me on the last corner of the race LOL.

Gotta get sorted for the endurance race on this track or I'll be about 5 laps down LOL.

I'm going to try and make the Escort race tomorrow.

Having done the Enna GT race (we're all doooomed in the Endurance races there!) I've finally got round to doing the championship standing pages properly. Hope you like them. ;D
