After last night i'm looking forward to this one. Had a practice today and I'm happy with my pace. Although i'm going to be carrying a bit more weight for the race.       Also practiced pit stops using manual stop and start. There is time to be had. Probably saving about 8 seconds, but if you get it wrong, which i did half the time, it's a big waste of time.

IF I bring back my monitor and wheel when I go home this weekend.....I'll try to join here in the M3 again.

I'm aware it's the last race - any objections?

You can replace me FreQ, cause assuming my blasted Race Of Champions tickets actually turn up before Sunday I will be at Wembley enjoying the real racing.

NO WET  :P...I most certainly DON'T want to have to be on pole again ;D

Normally, I want wet as I always miss the damn wet races. But on this occasion, I'm hoping for dry, as I'll be back on my old PC back home tomorrow for all of Xmas. A 2.8 P4 and a 9800pro struggle in the wet somewhat

Hello all, i cannot participate too  >:(.

I enjoyed racing with all of you, and it was a great season for me in this class. I'm sorry for not posting reports at all races, i had only the time to race, because i married 2 month ago.

This league is the best i have ever raced in, and i'm kidding to race here the next season.

You should be choosing one of the default skins and not one of the team colours. Plenty to choose from in most models

Cheers, I didn't see the defaults in the practise session, am I being stupid or will it be different in the race?

Also any tips on pit strategy, I've not played races for more than 15 laps! I'm usually pretty hard on my tyres, 1,2 or 3 stops do you reckon?

There should be default skins for sure.

Depending on what car you take soft/meds will last easily for a 40 minute stint, so 1 stop for fuel and tyres will be plenty.

Roughly how much fuel for the GT3 pork cup on a 1 stop strategy do you think? I don't want to run out!

Congrats to Madd who has been the form man all season. A worthy winner indeed :notworthy: No way I'd have competed with you tonight.

Sad end to the season for me....qualified well with a pb...still 3/10ths behind Dan though with a great time....Race started...got to the third corner and punted off from behind....started making places back but then I ran into the back of Mr Baracus as he braked for the last hairpin and lost more time waiting for him...started again, but things didn't feel right...the car tended to wander a lot...and I spun out a lap or so later with busted suspension.

Enjoyed the season....in the main....some very very good bits and some not so good...but thats the nature of racing I supose.

Thats my last race here now untill Mid/End January....moving house and can't get the ISP up and running till then....so I wish everyone a Merry Crimbo...(Wonder how many will get G25's off Santa?)

Grats to all winners of both the race and the championships.

Poor last race from me!
Picnic, sorry for the nudge in the opening 3 laps! I seemed as quick if not a little quicker than you, and was testing my own braking going into that left..... didnt think i could brake that late and was nearly beside you before i knew it, you tapped me closing the door.... sorry, souldnt have been there! was glad you caught it and carried on!
then on my pit stop got caught speeding in the pit lane! Do you have to wait a whole lap before coming back in to serve then penalty?
I only ask as i came straight back in, it said at the top of the pit board 10 sec pen which i served then was DQ the following lap for not coming in??

Congrats to winners, been some good racing this season....

Not a good season from me, buying/moving house, 2 weeks abroad and an pc upgrade which arrived DOA all but ruined my season  :-[

Have a good christmas and new year all  ;D

You shouldn't have bothered waiting for me tbh, I wasn't sure if I braked too early or not but as it was my first race and you were in a better class (I think) you should've just gone on! After that I lost it pretty soon anyway. Once I was being lapped I kept coming off trying to stay out of peoples way!

Good hard race than one.

Fighting to stay with Adam for first half of race, we were pretty close for full 40 mins. A few close moments and a couple of overtaking chances but I just could not manage.

I knew come pit stops I could jump him with the 911 needing less fuel. I was worried about TT as he was catching me towards the end of the first half. Needing to beat him for second in championship I was worried.

Managed to jump Adam in the pits and keep TT behind.

Adam was catching after the stops for a few laps, but I managed to ease out a few seconds to which the gap stayed.

Well done Freq on a great drive, and other class winners which I did not catch at the end

Do you run a particularly high screen resolution? I have this problem with some skins only online if I use my TripleHead2Go at the full res. No problems at 1280x1024 tho  :-\

Awesome race for me - simply awesome.  Great fun.

Was gutted to miss getting my first ever pole position when FreQ beat me by 0.009 of a second.  How gutted was I :( !

I've had a habit of qualifying well this season, only to cock up and move backwards through the field.  It was a nice change to stay in 2nd (FreQ simply boogered off into the distance - nice driving), but I had to be on top form to keep Brian's (admitteldly lardy) Porker behind me.  I made a couple of errors that almost let Brian through, but I think the extra weight told and he never quite managed to get by.

I pitted slightly before Brian, and I knew that this was when he was likely to get past me.  I'd not done any real practice on the pit stops at Zuhai, and with leaving the AI to do the pitstop rather than killing the engine myself that was more time that would go begging.

As anticipated, Brian emerged some 7-ish seconds infront (I think).  I knew I had to blitz the next couple of laps whilst Brian's tyres were getting up to speed, and I did just that.  I managed to get the gap down to 2.0 seconds (setting fastest lap in the process - that was a shock, a full second faster than I'd been lapping prior to that), where it stayed for a while.  I think the gap got down a bit lower than that, but catching Brian up had taken a heavy toll on my tyres.  Although I was still lapping well, I couldn't catch up.  In the end with about 6/8 mins left I called the chase off .... as a podium finish was mine unless I screwed up.

Thanks to all the guys we lapped, made it easy for us ... although my heart was in my mouth a few times as backmarkers spun in front of us!

Cheers Brian for a great race, one to remember for me.

Cheers everyone else - great season.

I was worried about TT as he was catching me towards the end of the first half. Needing to beat him for second in championship I was worried.

Messed my pitstop - wanted to add just a bit of fuel but I botched it.  :(  Had to come in again, so... You were too quick anyway and in the first stint I was undecided weather to push or conserve fuel. Grats all around.  :D

Great show by our Legends Adam   :notworthy:  and Don with their M3s.  8)

Good chase at the end, Jan!  :fencing:

No problem, I tried to leave enough room as I saw you coming but I had to turn in at some point ;)

Bit annoyed about tonights race really, had I absolutely no pace compared with Tuesday night, I couldn't really get within a second of what I was achieving then. This might be something do with how I got royally s*****d by finishing the last non-event  and getting lumbered with 20Kgs of ballast I should never have had!

Then I had the engine let go with 7 mins to run. Temps weren't high and I've never blown an engine before without provoking it. Rubbish end to the season :(

Was pleased to get pole in GTC, in 6th place overall.

TT was 0,5s faster in qually so I knew he'd drive off during the race and leave an empty track ahead of me. That's why I took soft front allround.

The tyres started off fine and I could get a gap infront of Jan Duijs. After a few laps he was gaining on me and on my back. We had a few good laps, close together.

Halfway through the race I pitted in and won alot of time on Jan that way. After that it was a very boring race to the finish.

Shame Paul969 and BACKO weren't here to compete for the champ, as it was just a drive to the finish now, which isn't really rewarding.

Grats FreQ and the GT2 win and PR for the GT3 win!

Very sorry for the contact between us, SBG, and that it ruined your race. I was bound to be involved in an incident at some point. :(

My best result but being realistic only due to absences and engines blowing up etc.

Massive apologies to Pseudo for the first lap tap - not used to being the one trying to do the overtaking and mis-judged the speed difference.

I have enjoyed my rookie season but have lots of homework before next season trying to find some speed and a division not made up mostly of aliens! ;D

I pretty much knew with 60Kilos that quali was going to be a damage limitation excercise, managed a reasonable time and was ahead of SBG so hoped to keep him there and keep my championship winning hopes alive. Both Dan and Psuedo were literallay out of the picture as their times were much faster.  :o

As for the race all went pretty much to plan wrt times and pitstops iid get lucky when Prof and Psuedo had their incident as I could have come off much worse.

Unfortunately SBG got past so I had to really go for it and re-pass him, eventually managing do take him under braking, after that I took it easy, possibly too easy as Pribeiro finished  quite a way in front but due to the bad luck of SBG and Psuedo I basically cruised it to the finish, a bit of a quiet race for the most part, but the Championship win more than makes up for it.

And I must admit I've thouroughly enjoyed all the fights with SBG this season, its a shame you lost out through no fault of you rown at the final hurdle.  :'(
Roll on next season!  ;D

Must also say really chuffed along with Dan to win the GT3 Team championship.  :jumpjoy:

...

Erm, I think that was probably me, on the 3rd corner, the back end came out a little and I took a chance that flooring it and spinning right off would be the best way to avoid you, luckily I was right. I was finding it difficult to judge letting you guys through on the straights before the corners and loosing s**t loads of time or letting you close up then over take after the corner, everyone kept closing much faster on the corners than I thought they would and i ended up braking too late to try and stop them from going into the back of me! I was very aware that this was the last race of the season for you guys and only my first race.

If there's a GT3 championship next season I might be tempted to give it a go for a change from the usual GT2s etc.

Well done to everyone taking part this season, I had another enjoyable season and some great fights along the way. Also thanks to all the back room staff from moderators, to server starters and administrators, without you all this would not be possible.

Well, gave it my best shot. Somehow the Leg-ends extended their lead in GT2! Well done lads  ;D

I quite like the M3, but only with soft fronts it seems - great for a little exit oversteer :)

Qually was super-tight and I felt quite bad reading Adam's comment afterwards - sorry! I really didn't expect it though...I'm back on my old PC over Xmas and it was soo unstable in qually....CTD'd 4 times. I'm amazed it lasted through the race!

Was lucky to get away at the start and just tried to build a lead as I wasn't sure how much I'd lose in the pits, luckily I came out 17 seconds ahead and could then just drive smoothly to the finish. :) Real chuffed with 2 races and 2 wins  8)

Gd racing guys. Catch ya in the sprint on Tuesday (If my pc holds up)

Lol Ade :). Its easy to forget that we were all nervous in our first few races and your mistakes are therefore completely foregivable. Stick with it and it'll get easier.

I would say that I think you made a mistake in choosing from the quickest group of cars. Resultantly you were stuck amongst the slower traffic which made life tricky for you and those around you, I kinda knew it would  ;). I suggest you take a car from the slower classes for your next mixed class race, they are far easier to drive and you'll avoid the problems you faced last night. Cya next season.
