Health Warning

The Lotus 43 needs all of The Loop so don't go trying to wedge one of your pint sized bumping cars in there alongside it!  ;D :tank:

It'll end in tears before bedtime.

Actually, if someone could see their way clear to fill in the ditch and put down some of the nice green tarmac that current circuit builders favour that would be great.  Shift those damn straw bales whilst you are at it too!

I'll second that.  I keep thrashing my elbows on the arms of the chair trying to stay out of the Armco!

hrummph!!  ruddy barge pilots, always moaning and getting in the way on the interesting bits...then they bugger off on the boring straight stuff. :D

Just leave about 200mm + kerb on the inside of the bends, and we will slip through so cleanly and quietly, that you will never know we were there ;D snigger! snigger! Well maybe not so quietly, after all we will have the engines revving at warp factor 8.

But surely, hard wooden wheels won't give any increase in grip for the "barge" class??? but then, I suppose they wont give any less grip either   :wheelchair:

The theory is that they wont puncture  8)

and with the "sticky out blade" option , I wont be getting lapped either  ;D

this is gonna suck being in same car all season, no wonder theres "advantage" for other drivers, I cant even get below 1:10 and i tried 2-3 setups and cant find anymore to get. Im at least 3secs quicker in a BT19

Won't work Bernie.  Some Formula Hooligan type will just ram you and get past while you are in the ditch!

Started off wonderfuly with a pole, which came after following Paul and Syd for three laps.

Started off nicely and kept my position through the esses but stood little chance on the straight. Lorenzo passed and he was then the only thing that kept Paul from charging from behind.

Then I lost a bit control at the loop but managed to recover. Being wide there, Paul took the inside and carried that line to the straight however, Lorenzo stayed on the left and gave me a tow and pulled Clive and my self through, leaving Paul helpless.

Clive then relieved a bit of pressure that I had from Paul so I was trying to find where I can dive on Lorenzo. Being so close through the speedtrap, I had a go at Big Bend, going down the inside. I downshifted awkwardly and at one moment lost all revs and lost control completely, just getting in the way of Lorenzo who had to slow down and give his positions to Clive and Paul (sry Lorenzo).

I then Shift Rd as I got funnily beached when trying to rejoin and made a Stop so was after Syd, Phil and Clive. I was getting closer but then made a stupid mistake at the loop and requiring another Shift R, it didn't feel like fun anymore.

It was a great race at the beginning, shame to have missed the better part of it.

Grats podium.

Kruger

Ma damn engine exploded on rundown towards loop on lap 2. After that I drove with a bit of anger, and even got a fastest lap. I got up through the field to third in the end, but I could have been fighting for the win. :( And to make matters worse, now comes Mexico where I was way off pace last time we ran 66 cars there.

I found my newly aquired and fitted charriot wheels had a design flaw , Instead of repelling all challengers for my hard won (7th) place, the sticky out spikes, which were designed to rip your tyres off the rims if you came anywhere near me , kept instead , impaling themselves on those dreaded hay bails  ::) Somewhat of a handicap racing with 4 square wheels but I managed to keep up for a while and annoy Phil .

The trouble was,  every time I closed enough to make a pass, my straw wheels did hinder the braking capability somewhat so that I either "gave up" or "gave in" on any attempt to outmanouver the cannily driven Brabham,  my three finest attempts to pass ended with me collecting even more straw samples so that at the finish my car won a 1st prize in the WG thanksgiving parade.

What a great race you chaps had up front , well worth watching on the replay .

Next If I ever get there , to Mexico , but  the new wheels will be staying home

I'd only just completed one flying lap in qually when my oldest daughter rang in with a taxi request to bring her back from an after school function, oh the joys of fatherhood!!

I left the game running on the slim chance I would make it back in time for the start but the leaders were on lap 8 when I sat back down at the desk.

Anyway I just made a coffee and sat back and watched a very enjoyable race, better than most current F1 events by a long way. :)

report from staff Nurse O'Halleran on evilClive who was admitted to our facility at approx 10:pm last night.

The patient is still in a darkened room and undergoing deep therapy. The exertions of the previous evening have left him tittering and mumbling incoherently whilst dribbling from the corner of his mouth.
Most of what he utters is considered nonsense as some of the few deciperable words sound like .."Fez" some reference to a comic's hat?)  ....Mclaren ( someone he knows we assume) ......"baby Brab" ( an new born relative perhaps?).....Glen ( also some aquaintance? ) and he appears to be using some sort of numerical code ..." 3 no  2 ....3.....1.......3......2.......2...3... interspaced with the above words.
The head psychiatrist is with him now and hopes to allow him to see sunlight in a few days.
His hand movements are also unusual as he appears to be wrestling with something imaginary in front of him and stamping on another object or objects on the floor.
We are confident that given time and the correct therapy the patient will, in time, make a full recovery.

Lol....Clive
I was sad to see you exit the battle up front  :( as it was all very tight and anyone's race.

Well done to Lorenzo for the win

The race was very enjoyable for me. Nice close, clean racing from lap one to the flag. Lots of passing for the lead.
I knew the last lap was where it was to be decided but I could not do enough to stop Lorenzo.

Congrats to all finishers for a great battle  :fencing:

Looking forward to seeing the server replay as that must be a keeper :)

updated press release on condition of Evilclive

The fixed grin and bulging eyes, together with the tightly clenched fists, have relaxed a little. This relaxation coincided with the removal of large quantities of, what appears to be, straw from the mouth and throat of the patient. As this obstruction was removed and the patient regained the power of speech, he released a string of obscenities ending with a prolonged "noooooooooooooooooo bugger!!". We do hope that this is not the release of trauma caused by some unknown assault upon his person.
His heart rate is down to about 120 and his blood pressure has now re-appeared on the upper end of our scale,
The reflexive twitching of the outstretched arms is also diminishing and the patient has managed to take some liquid refreshment. He does seem obsessed with a phrase which is causing much headscratching here at the facility " why didn't you shift are you dimwit, its not prorules" ( it has been suggested that maybe prorules are some sort of exotic fruit, and we are looking into this as it may give us some insight into the causes of his condition.?)
Nurse Gladys will be taking over the nightshift shortly, and any change in his condition will be conveyed to the public by her in due course.

Didn't I always tell you that you don't need a lap length of 15miles and 400 corners to have a good RACE!
