After S8 class changes I'm having trouble locating the list of which car is in which class. Could somebody point me in the right direction?  :-\

If Mosler is still in GTC, I'll take that for this season. If not - "we'll just see what we'll see".   ;)
Vertigo is GT3 now, right?

You can either start a local game and select just the UKGTR GTC class or join the server which is only running GTCs at the moment. Either way the list is the list ;)

I thought the list was somewhere on the forum, so us rookies could take time during work spare time to decide in peace.  ;)

360 Modena
911 GT3-RS
Morgan
Mosler
TVR

Same as previous seasons, minus the 350Z and Vertigo.

I'm missing this one too. It's work commitments this time before any more comments!        I've always liked the morgan but I've done a few laps in the mosler of late and have been doing well with it.    Not sure what the ballast situation is with it, but in standard spec it was quick.

the comment on first post about 'seeded weather fixed for event, changeability zero'...does that mean 'exactly' as real world weather forecast for tonight ie partly cloudy? or was it fixed when it said 'chance of rain' ?
Not done any rain praccy but it would be great fun in the wet again  :)

Generally, the weather file will be generated at the same time the server is restarted for the event....so the weather will be set to whatever conditions a prevailant at that time...and will not change throuout the race.

 :( Another totally wasted night.

Had to brake far too hard aproaching the hairpin to avoid running into the back of MJ (did you brake/have to brake a little early?...not your fault or anything, just that you seemed quite a bit slower than on previous laps  :-\)

Anyway, locked up, sent me off right into the wall, busted suspension, end of race.  :(

Grats winners

unlucky pseudo  :(  dont think i took the corner any slower?, other than being a little defensive to the inside line in case you tried nipping up the inside like i did a lap or so earlier  ;)

totally gutted, had an absolutely fantastic race, in a 4-5 car battle the whole time with all of us swapping places and racing side by side etc. Brilliant stuff.

Then bizzarely on the long back straight my car pitched off violently into the wall at full speed  ??? :'(...blow out? Gutted, as it was a fantastic fight with Darren, Andy eves, Jan, Shark and Steve holmes for lap after lap.
Only other thing i can think of is my G25 came off the race seat bracket about 10 laps earlier whilst bouncing over the apex kerbs at T1  :o...had some scary snaking motion going on in front of sharks chasing morgan for about half a lap as i tried to manhandle it back onto the bracket. I wonder if it slid slightly on the straight, pitching me straight into the barrier?...Steve must have thought i turned kamikaze pilot..only a few minutes more to go too  :'(
The left rear? was totally deflated, tried crawling along the barrier but it was going nowhere. :( DNF  :surrender:

Still, i thoroughly enjoyed the excellent close quarters racing  8)  just a bit gutted to come away with nothing after all that hard work.

Gawd that was frustrating.

After Jan slipped up, good pace there :), I was left chasing Mark and TT, who were clearly having a great scrap, with a big gap behind me. I pushed and pushed and pushed but couldn't bring the gap down to less than 2 seconds until we hit traffic. Suddenly, through no fault of lapees who were excellent, I was right with Mark and getting ready for some fun and our ruddy cat sat on my lap , quickly threw her off but slipped and really lost my chance. Unlucky to TT and Dan, congrats to Mark.

Twas good that we contested well in different cars, good work Dave :) I'm off to make friends with the cat again.

Should have won if but whatever!!   Managed to pull a gap as Mark and TT were scrapping , Gap got to about 11 secs then with 3 laps to go was running out of fuel, pitted and came out behind Simon but didnt put enough fuel in to do the last 2 laps  >:( so pitted again and punched the wall  ::).
Grats to team mate Mark , rest of podium and all who put enough fuel in.
Cheers

What happened to Dan ???
Edit: oh, I see. Bad luck.  :(

2 litres more and I'd be 2nd. Or 1st?  :o  Thought I had some spare as I set it to 55 minutes, but I guess trying to get away from MarkMc was burning some extra fuel. Great chase, MarkMc, as usual.  8)
In the second part it was obvious Dan was too fast and I can't shake off MarkMc, so I was slowing down in slow corners to make Mark think of sbg for a time. No matter how much I slowed (was slower by two seconds/lap) sbg was two seconds behind Mark.    "Where, oh where is he?!"  :P
Damn timer wouldn't stop, and if I short-shifted MarkMc was on me asap, so I tried to take the middle path but there was simply not enough fuel left. Too bad. Still, a cracking race!  8)  Mosler isn't so bad, if aliens are missing.  ;)

Unexpected win, thought Dan had that, bad luck there m8,  i didnt even notice passing him when he was in the pits,  i guess thats cos my attention was focused on TT.

But anyway was following dan and made a mistake which let TT through and fought him right till the end when he pulled up,  i now know he ran out of fuel which was lucky for me  :whistling:as he had gotten alongside, again, for the second time at the hairpin and had the inside line.  Good race TT,  drove that mosler well.

SBG had closed right up on us too but time was running out.

cheers.

That was good fun. A lack of pre testing showed in my general pace.

Great battle with Spanner 8). I couldn't have kept that pace up much longer mate, my engine was on the verge of blowing, (poor set up due to lack of testing) forced me to nurse the car home after Spanner's challenge dropped off ;).

No way I could take softs on either end so I was working the car hard on the formation lap to get my mediums up to something resembling operating temperature and caught the curbs in the final 'chicane', pitching myself off, sideways into the barrier and back to dead last. :-[

Hacked my way back up through a few cars to 11th or so, touching JPS along the way when I underestimated just how much faster I'd be out of the hairpin whilst taking a tighter line. :-[

Finally caught up with Steve Holmes for 10th before catching the curbs in turn 2 and going off, then I had Picnic up my tailpipes for most of the rest of the race, only really managing to build a gap up again when his tyres went south. Steve was nice enough to throw himself off the track to give me tenth, and then with MJ retiring and TT running dry on the final lap I came home a somewhat undeserved 8th.

Pity the turnout wasn't so good - this must be the most evenly matched GTC field ever, there seemed to be close fights going on almost everywhere.

great video Andy, you captured all the action brilliantly! Cool tuneage too  8)
Some great overtaking going on by all of us there.

I see you captured my bizzare exit on film too, is that my rear left blowing out ? There is a big puff of smoke then the car turns almost 90 degrees off into the armco on the opposite side of the road...on a straight !?  Weird one that.  :(

Well i enjoyed that last night even tho i was last!

My braking seemed well off compared to others which made it very tight at times, i was braking earlier but still arriving quicker than those infront. Lots of clenching going on at times :o Then i think i was practising offline too much as i was getting 1.44's easily, but i couldnt get the speed through the corners.

Great racing there at the back, though picnic seemed to leap up the order then ran with JPS uptill about half distance. but a few times i'd bin it then have to catch up again. Then i seemed to struggle with less grip, as usual and just tried to calm down bit but i was slowly catching JPS.

Err, was that the fixed weather with zero variability? as the conditions did vary in each session, mid twentys in qualy then it seemed to get upto the 30's in the race.

::)....Just looked at my records, and I have done 240 laps at Hock in the fezza. That was the only one I can ever remember having a crash there....I have run past the turn in and spun a few times etc...but that looked like I turned in about 50 yrds too soon  :o I haven't a clue what happened really, My first thoughts were that I had braked/manouvered to avoid rearending MJ, but I wasn't that close and MJ was at normal speed/line etc. and I didn't even have a cat on my knee ;)

Looks like downshifting too fast. The Fezza is quite prone for those kind of things under braking.

There is a program called keydelay or something. That can prevent double downshifts due to falty hardware or stupid drivers  ;D

I downshift quite hard during qualy or in a race when I'm really pushing, but generally you should be more gentle on downshifting during a longer race. I pushed the 350Z really hard for most of the Brno race; I normally only lose 2 or 3% of the engine, but lost about 23% through being too aggressive that time.

See it all the time in youtube videos, where people go down 4 gears in a blink, just concentrate on being more progressive. Having a good wheel certainly helps though.

The Modena also has a very big gap between 1st and 2nd in the default setups - I moved 2nd down and spread the upper gears out a bit more which made the car much more stable under braking.

I forgot the name really, so I can't find it :(.

What the program basically does is, you sign a button on the wheel (shifter in this case) to a button on the keyboard. Then you select the time between the possibility of each press. So if you set it to 200ms, the button won't react within that time limit.
