The pit window is as follows:

First pit stop to be taken between 28 and 19 to go on your pit board. If a second stop is required it must be taken at least 1 full lap after the first and before 9 to go on your pit board.

Is anybody actually intending turning out for this? I'll be there, but will I be on my own?

I'll be there - but only to start the server :(

Though I did not intend to race this one, only later I checked my calendar and realised I was at seaside at that time anyway, which is now :)

I'm planning to take a quiet sightseeing tour around this quaint old French town. Racing around it might be a problem  ::)

This was my first race at Pau, having lapped it once in 2007 for historic rank.

What fun!

With it being tight, and pro damage.. after 25 laps the tyres got red and from then on it was like a wet snowy day :D

Coaxed the fuel in the end, 63psi from 6 to go and got home running out at t1...

Good setup, massive pb in the lotus, much clean fun racing. thumbs up from me!

A personally pathetic performance in the pretty provincial Pau, with a personal best performance in practice.
I could have taken the BRM and incurred no pitstops, also had the option of the Cooper...and no pitstop. But, I was conned by the AI competition during my short practice sessions in private. The likes of Jim Clark down to Joe Bloggs were posting lap times of 1:16 secs and the best I could achieve was about 1:25!!! So I was conned into choosing ( what was for me) a faster chassis.
Well, I thought if the aliens are going to be doing 1 :16's or faster I am so far off the pace as to be a non starter in this race.

It turns out that not even our resident aliens can do 1:16's, WHAT A RELIEF THAT WAS!!!! although Lorenzo made a dam fine attempt in his Brabham!!!. Spurred on by this new ray of hope I squeezed a 1:23 sec lap out of the Fez,  I had chosen as my weapon of choice.

The start went well and I was only slightly off the pace of Iestyn's Lotus and the usual suspects upfront.

All was going well and I felt quite comfortable as the lap times slowly improved..until I got a slight slide going around the long right hander which snapped left then right as I braked and pushed me solidly into those concrete straw bales...game over!

Hard luck to Lorenzo for his disco :-\ and grats to Ken, Iestyn, Hristo and John for holding things together for longer than I managed.

Oh, just a liitle nudge up the rear from Hristo at one point, but it was all my own fault for loitering round T1 for longer than I should have! :)
