Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7).
(3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R;group=187;theme=5)
(4) The season will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.6.5.0 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3358.msg54518#msg54518).

I was just trying to download all the new tracks for the season and noticed croft isnt on the list yet.

Oh no, you're not going to make us race MJ's heap are you?  :P  Any chance of the Jag Mk. Sofa as an alternative? Anything.....  That's bad form making us drive a Porsche I'd say. Possibly even worse form is that I think this may coincide with MJ on holiday.........

Better get some practice I guess, 911's the only GTL car I've not driven much, never got on with it's tendency to under/oversteer in something other than a controllable and predictable fashion.  And with Croft being pretty tight in places I wonder which fool picked this combo, a masochist?  :laugh: :surrender:

Okay, I have to admit it, this might actually be pretty good fun, a single make 911 race. Damn, did I really say that?

Isn't there a couple of different variants of the 911 in the game? Any particular one or any of them?

You can use any of the 911s on offer  :)

I don't know which version of Croft we will be using, but the Tantra version available at NoGrip always crashes for me after about 2 or 3 laps in offline races. I have raced it twice in online races, first time no problem, second time it crashed after 12 laps. Just thought I'd mention it.

Link is up the top if you want to try it Geoff, and you other gents for that matter. As usual, we did plenty of testing around here and had no problems to report but that doesn't mean there aren't some :-\

How you make a 911 turn I'll never know, it appears to have front tyres made of solid ice, the grip it gives.  Oh well, more practice.....

Anybody have problems with this track? I keep getting CTD after 5-7 laps.

(Just seen the post by Geoffers, so I'm not the only one. Had to download the track from Dave's site as the Filefront site had problems earlier. Will try a new downloas and install)

On the subject of tracks, the filefont link to the UKGTL track pack doesn't  seem to work  ???

We haven't produced a track pack for this season.....the ff link points at last seasons pack.

Each track is/will be available as a seperate download though.

Bugger. After you've done that please report back :) Just shows what a tricky lark this testing is as we had no such problems and I for one did many laps with this combo. If problems persist, or exacerbate, we will postpone this one early to give us all plenty of time to pracci at a new British venue, retaining car choice.

Downloaded the track from Filefront & tried it, CTD after about half a dozen laps. Real shame as the 911 is great fun around here. >:(

Tis odd as I've just done a 20 lap race around Croft to make sure I wasn't going mad and had no problems. And you're right the 911 is ace around there :'( But thx, with you and TT having issues thats all we need to know and we will use a different venue (think initials BH ;)) for this race.

Think the schedule can be viewed now so if anyone knows of any more problems with upcoming venues, which have all been extensively tested like Croft  :'(, please let us know asap.

Please note the re-scheduling (only if we can get to root of problems) of this venue. The first race of sprint season will still be a 911 only event at Brands instead https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=5060.msg83096#new

Sorry for any inconvenience but this seems the only sensible option. The 911 is almost as much fun around Brands :)

Re-installed the new download and had the same problems. Could it be because my OS is Vista? Wonder if Geoffers uses Vista too?

It's not one of these tracks that only works properly in Dx8 or Dx9 and not Dx7?

My shader level is left at Auto, which is DX9 I think.

So is this a Snetterton race now? (please) and can we have different cars cos we did a 911 spec race at Brands

Maybe cars that no one has been picking to drive yet this season? (not because they're not fun to drive, but sometimes due to being outclassed in a race line up... in my hands anyway)

Not had a Jag MkII race this season

Thx for remininding me about this, the track will not be in S6 as it simply wasn't stable enough for some, shame as I loved it. Might use it for a fun run or when/if a fix becomes available.
